This @husbandsthatcook cookbook needed a permanent spot on the feed, because it’s EXTRA cute and EXTRA informational! 🍪🍰🍞✨
Aside from the gorgeous pictures and delicious looking recipes (that for me, a 10 year vegan, were easily able to be veganized with my favorite vegan substitutes) the basic baking guide at the beginning was filled with baking essentials. This invaluable information would be very beneficial to people just trying to enter the world of baking OR even, seasoned bakers that want a little refresh on the science behind baking and the many tips and tricks of the trade!
⭐️THAT TAKES THE COOKIE, out NOW!⭐️
Thank you to @_simonelement for the beautiful g i f t e d cookbook that I’m sure I’ll be referencing from years to come!
Cookbook Reviews are my passion reviews, and after baking my way through That Takes the Cookie by Ryan Alvarez and Adam Merrin, I couldn’t wait to share my thoughts. As someone who loves easy, delicious, and creative recipes, this cookbook hit the mark.
What I love about this book is how approachable it is. The recipes are simple but inventive, and they use ingredients that make baking feel fresh and fun.
From cookies packed with fruit to decadent treats, the book offers a great mix of flavors. There are plenty of recipes for every occasion, from quick snacks to festive holiday treats, and none of them are too complicated. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to bake without stress but still end up with cookies that look and taste amazing.
Thank you for the gift Simon Element!
Another thing I really appreciated was the sense of community that shines through the pages. This isn’t just a book of recipes; it’s a celebration of how food brings people together, whether you’re baking solo or with friends and family.
If you're looking for a cookie cookbook that’s practical, inspiring, and full of flavor, That Takes the Cookie is a must-have. It’s definitely earned a spot on my kitchen shelf—and I’m sure it will become a staple in yours too! 🍪✨
Thank you @husbandsthatcook and @_simonelement for the gorgeous #gifted book.
Wow, “That Takes the Cookie” is an absolute gem of a cookbook! The cookie photos are so bright and colorful that they make you want to drop everything and start baking. Every page is packed with inspiration!
The recipes are incredibly easy to follow, with clear instructions and all the details you need to bake with confidence. One of the best parts of this book is the opening chapter on kitchen basics. It’s loaded with helpful tips, from must-know baking techniques to the best equipment to use. I learned so much, even things I didn’t realize I needed to know!
Whether you're a total beginner or an experienced baker looking for new recipes, this book has something for everyone. If you love cookies, you need this cookbook in your collection!
I love cookbooks so much. Although we have Pinterest and many internet recipes sites, I like a good physical cookbook. This one has many great recipes. The pictures are really helpful to make sure the cookie turns out how it is supposed to!
🍮A recipe that caught my attention is the On-the-Go Blueberry Breakfast Bars. It looks fairly easy and the ingredients are staples that we all usually have in our pantries.
I can’t wait to find the perfect place on my cookbook shelves for this gem.
Thank you to Simon&Schuster for the free copy for review.
Thanks to Simon Element for my copy. My opinions are my own.
This one really does have a great variety of classic and unique flavors, textures, and ingredients. I have a lot of cookbooks but this one is special—great photographs, clear, easy-to-follow recipes, and GREAT-tasting results. I definitely recommend!
I was excited to receive a copy of That Takes the Cookies by Ryan Alvarez and Adam Merrin published by Simon Element My son made the sugar cookies from the book and they are pictures. We both appreciated the easy to follow directions, explanation of kitchen equipment and beautiful full color pages. A great book to up your cookie game! I highly recommend.
This was an alright cookbook. Some of the recipes I was not a fan of because of the flavors or even the use of certain ingredients I can't use. I am certain that others would probably like this cookbook more than me.
Easy to follow and delicious recipes with beautiful photos, including dairy-free/gluten-free ones. This cookbook is so complete and I want to bake all the cookies. All the stars.
[ I received a complimentary copy from the publisher - Simon Element . All opinions are my own ]
This cookbook has the most delicious cookies. The recipes are easy to follow, easy to make. If your looking for a tasty treat or thinking of making a batch of cookies, check out this cookbook.
It’s Baking Season!! And the perfect time to show off this incredible Cookbook. “That Takes the Cookie” by Ryan Alvarez and Adam Merrin. This is the first cookbook I have received as an ARC reader. Fun Fact: my mom and I LOVE COOKBOOKS! So, I lent the book to her to get her notes as well.
The pictures in this book are soooooo yummy! Everything looks decadent. The recipes begin with “The Fab 5” recipes, the 5 staples every baker should know and progress to Strawberry Cheesecake Bars and Cream Brulee Cookies. Mom said she enjoyed the pictures, the recipes are well thought out and seem simple enough to follow. To be fair my mom’s simple is definitely more advanced than mine, but I do agree with her. This book if for families and is intended to have some little helpers tag along for the baking fun.
If you want to diversify your cookie lineup this year, be sure to pick it up. There are seven sections, and my favorite was “Cookie Mash-Ups” and Mom’s was “Cookies ‘Round the World” We had a great time discussing the book and planning our next treat!
