Relish in the glory of teenager years in the classic American adventures of 17-year-old Jeremy Duncan and his bewildered parents, eclectic friends, and elusive girlfriend in this all-new collection of Zits comic strips.
Current Mood = hanging out with friends, staying up late, eating pizza, playing guitar, procrastinating your homework, being buried in your phone and/or dirty laundry (did we mention eating pizza?). In short, all of the good things about life as a teenager. With this collection of the entire run of 2022 Zits comic strips, readers can relive their own teenage years as if they were yesterday by living vicariously through teenager Jeremy's adventures with his friends and family.
I've been reading Zits for many years and recently decided to purchase and read all of the books in the series, and it has been enjoyable and amusing! This is one of the newest volumes, published in 2024, so all of the characters are well-developed and in their current most familiar format, and I have to say it is one of the best Zits books ever! Another of the large format, lavish treasury-style volumes, the book contains large, well reproduced strips with plenty in color. My only complaint is as with others of this format, the book is so large and floppy it almost has to be read on a table top!
Plenty of great laughs and adventures throughout the book. There's a funny series when Jeremy is home alone with his cat watching scary movies and hears noises he fears are zombies only to find out is Peirce! In another series, Jeremy attends a themed wedding with Sara in a ridiculous outfit. There's all the high school worries about final exams, while the embarrassing, yet caring and wise parents are always about.
Anyone who loves this strip will love this book and anyone who hasn't read Zits before will find much to laugh about!
I deeply appreciate Jeremy's endearing qualities, which evoke cherished memories of my beloved grandsons. While his comedic style may lean towards the lighthearted and playful, there's an undeniable charm in his approach that brings a smile to my face.
Look, you get what you expect. it's a Zits book, it's cover to cover mildly amusing insights and the odd chuckle out loud. In a world going to hell in a handbasket, it's just the sort of thing you want to read just before bed as a parent. I'll be buying the next set
