Rate this book
Have you ever lost a sock? It’s in the Sock-Verse! Get ready to embark on a series of toe-tally awesome adventures that follow a band of misfit socks as they journey through this new whimsical world.

Enter a skater sock who gets caught in a dizzying spin-cycle and is magically transported into the vibrant Sock-Verse. Alone for the first time in his life, Freddy strikes up an unlikely friendship with Ruffles, a no-nonsense frilly sock, and Hanks, a warm and fuzzy knee-high. This trio of mismatched misfits embark on an epic quest in search of the gatekeeper of the Sock-Verse, an elusive being that knows the secrets to travel back to the Foot-side—a way back to Freddy’s sock-twin Peter!

But the journey won’t be easy. Our heroes will come toe-to-toe with a gang of dyed socks who are heel-bent on bringing order and monotonous conformity to the Sock-Verse. As the trio work together to overcome many challenges, they will forge an enduring friendship and discover how wonderfully wacky and diverse the Sock-Verse really is.

SpongeBob meets Adventure Time in this colorful, hilarious, and heartwarming graphic novel series that will make you see your socks in a new light.

I was VERY lucky to receive an advance copy of this book. It was so fun and it's great for kids! It's funny and packed with adventure and friendships. There aren't any complicated words and the plot is easy to understand. Even though it seems that this book is directed at ages 7-12, even teenagers and grownups can relate to the characters. Everyone has they're own style and personality, which is fun to see. Overall, this is a great book for kids. I really recommend it!

My 8-year-old stayed up late reading this and then insisted that I read it too; it was fun! Five stars for how much the target audience enjoyed it.

I was given an advance copy of this book and boy am I glad I got my hands on it!
Life Really Socks was a delightful surprise: silly, engaging, deep, original and... relatable?
The concept for this book is brilliant: we've all lost socks in the laundry. Where do they end up? This book answers that and so much more.
My kids loved the beautiful illustrations and the lovable and quirky characters. I enjoyed the positive messaging about being yourself, about working with others even when you don't "match" and how diversity is what makes the sock-verse a magical place.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for a wholesome, joyful comic book for their kids/grandkids/friends' kids/etc. etc.

This book was so much fun to read, with the story so imaginative and full of life. It's funny and kept me chuckling throughout. The writing is clever and engaging, making it a real page-turner. As a parent, I’m always finding single socks all over the house, and this book takes that everyday mystery and turns it into an exciting adventure, sparking their imaginations about where those socks might actually end up! And the illustrations are fantastic, bringing this quirky sock world to life with so much color and character. Each sock has its own little personality, and it’s so fun to see how they interact and the adventures they get up to. The sock characters are lively and amusing, adding tons of charm and making the story even more memorable. "Life Really Socks - Into the Sock-Verse" is entertaining, beautifully illustrated, and offers a fun twist on something as simple as a sock! Highly recommend it!

I am bursting at the seams with delight that I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this joyride of a book! Much love to @lifereallysocks for creating something that touches and tickles my sole! It’s a page turner for sure (literally read it out loud in one sitting) but what makes it extra special is how it seamlessly weaves together laugh out loud humor, quirky lovable characters, mystery, adventure and tons of delightful puns to create a story that also subtly integrates meaningful heartfelt messages. As soon as I was finished I found myself flipping back to reread favorite lines, hug all the characters, and to be honest, hug myself too. I saw myself in the pages, related to so many moments and questions and felt like the book showed me how to find a sense of adventure, possibility and joy in the world and within myself, even when life really socks. Truly Socktacular!

5 stars (I loved it)

This was really silly but also really fun. I loved all the play on words with sock related words. It was fun discovering all the new puns. I found the whole re-pairing thing to be funny as its poking fun a bit at doomsday religious people but it did make me wonder if this book might end up on a banned book list someday to portraying religion in a bad light or something. Probably me just looking too much into it. On the surface, there is nothing to object to in this book and I would happily put it in my school library. Can't wait to read more of the story!

My 8 & 9 year old kids have quite discerning eyes and aren't keen on reading books that aren't compelling so I was glad to see that they loved this book. As soon as they picked it up they couldn't put it down. A quote from the 9 year old: "It's funny -- very funny, actually. My favorite character is Freddy because he’s brave. My favorite moment is when they find out the ancient tag is washing instructions.”

They can't wait to read volume 2!

A punny and funny graphic novel that’s less than 200 pages but full of adventure. I especially loved the scene featuring the “Lost Sock Monument: Reflect and Remember” image, and I totally grinned at the message of what, exactly, defines a “perfect pair?”

A clever take on interdimensional travel and hilarious sock/clothing puns. This book is family friendly, but still entertaining for adults. It's a fun adventure from start to finish with some twists along the way. I'm actually interested in a sequel for this. Hope the authors are working on it.
