i picked up this book thinking it would be about self love. it was that for a while, along with the hardship we all go through on that journey. but then it turned into love poems about a man, as if we need to rely on men in order to love ourselves.

this book also lost stars for me as the writing style seemed to continuously worsen as it went on. the author tries way too hard to rhyme, causing things to not make sense or translate well.

A beautiful compilation of poems about heart tugs and anxiety and heart break and love.

The thoughts are so raw and the examples are so reimagined and whimsical yet relatable.

Just as beautifully written as her first book, What the Moon Gave Her, but the poems/subject matter didn't grab as much as that of the first book.
