Charming picture books capture the mood of each season with illustrations to delight very young boys and girls, and texts in easy-to-read Spanish. They're wonderful for Spanish-speaking children, as well as for English-speaking families who wish to use them as beginner's books for boys and girls learning a second language. A two-page section at the back of each book speaks to parents in Spanish, suggesting additional details about the seasons that they can explain to very young children.

I've finished the seasonal series! This one was moderately helpful for winter phrases in learning spanish.

I just LOVE Maria Rius' illustrations. They are so sweet! I really wish I owned every one of her books. I wish they weren't so difficult to find. The texts are simple and there is a great parent's/educator's guide at the end of each book to help guide discussions (in Spanish) on the theme of the book.

The theme for this book is winter, and the illustrations give lots of contextual clues for language acquisition.
