Trapped on the war-riddled planet of Lemuria, Cyena must hide her true identity if she is to survive. She seeks refuge with a small pocket of other elites in hiding, only to find herself in more danger with them than she was on her own. Cyena is one of the only members of the most elite Lemurrian bloodlines to survive the invasion, which makes her a bargaining chip the others want to trade to the insurgents in the hope of buying their own amnesty.

Cyena uncovers their plan and works hard to hone her psychic skills, knowing the same skills that condemned her before the war are all that will save her now.

To complicate matters, Kaydon, her rescuer and the son of the rebellion’s leader, offers her sanctuary. But if she leaves the city with him, she loses any chance of discovering what happened to her sister. If she stays, she risks being killed.

Uncertain who to trust and what to do, Cyena will face untold challenges to find some trace of her sister.

"An expelled elite will restore a new order, but only with the aid of two and two, and the planet will know joy and prosperity beyond anything anyone has ever seen."

This one was more YA-ish than the first one. No sex or smutty stuff in Trapped.

We get to follow Cyena after the events in Severed. It's amazing how she still defends those who treat her like absolute s*it. And not even a backhand or two make her see reason.

I was sure at this point that this was a one or two stars rating. Then, she started growing a backbone. Then the pairing (aka marriage) took place. I was sure I would pop a vein, but it was way cooler than that. The series actually got me excited. All I hate is the typical YA anguish part. Grrr! I will need to file a complaint with Ilona Andrews. The Andrews opened my eyes to mature, kick-arse heroines.

By the way, Kaydon and Ryker are really starting to grow on me.

The second in a series of 3 books, Trapped is another winner!!! Starwalker is turning out to be a series to cherish...

Trapped shows the life of Cyena after the rebellion that separated the two sisters struck. The confusion, pain, longing and loneliness that a war usually brings with it is so profound in Cyena's life. Living with the fear of discovery as an Elite among the working class, Cyena draws little comforts whenever Kaydon is around. Though Cyena believes that the Elite were wrong in treating horribly the peasants but she cant wish to be among the people where she spent all her life.

But when Kaydon convinces her to take up a mission to go back among the Elite and fetch an information, she realizes all over again why the Elite are not where she belongs truly. Her life takes a major turn when circumstantially, she finds herself mated with Kaydon and finds out that neither loathe the situation.

The best thing was the build-up of the attraction between Kaydon and Cyena in the backdrop of the war and the discovery that Ryker is alive and well... Oh yes!!! Ryker is good to go and a prophecy is at play!!!

At the end, the sisters are still separated but events are turning out to be good....

This book yet again will leave you craving for more and make you long for the next... Can't wait to read Tyana's part and see the finale unfold...

This series is definitely a keeper!!!

At the end of the first book the sister's were left separated. In this book Cyena, desperately waits for word of her sister. She is torn that if she leaves she will not ever know if Tyana comes back for her..

What to do what to do... Kaydon.. mmm There is just something about him that is off to Cyena, she has not quite been able to figure it out. Then in a turn of events that leaves Cyena to choose between one side or another she really feels torn.

I really enjoyed getting to know more about Cyena in this second book. As more of the story unfolds you get a better feel for the character's involved. Of course there is really not much about Tyana in this one I am guessing they will touch more on that in book 3 Exiled that is due out next month (March 2014). Through and through my only complaint yet again was the length, I can't help it I am a fast reader.. I just really love the story and the author's. I am kind of hoping they decide to maybe do more of these as I think there could be a-lot of ways they could go with it. This was the first series, or book i think that was written by 2 authors, that if you did not know it was by 2, then you wouldn't even think it had been written like that. Even knowing that I could not tell in either book. Lizzy and Julia did an excellent job.

Well dang it. I'm on the fence and that doesn't happen often when reading a book by these authors. My struggle is that I think they need to be a little longer to help with setting some precedences...

The book picks up with Cyena living in a village outside the city...she is scared, alone, and adrift not knowing what will eventually happen to her, nor where her family is...if they even survived. She sees Kaydon, but doesn't know anyone else. She will learn there are other elite survivors hiding out, and will be asked to assist with negotiating a deal. Walking in is easy, getting back out is not. When she learns who else is there, and their plans for her, things go from bad to worse.

I did love the change in her relationship with Kaydon, but think it went rather quickly from uncertainty in how much she can trust him to where it ended. However, once it got there, I was disappointed in her choice to walk away. And for those who have not read this book, loved the twist surrounding Kaydon and his family...I'm slowly loving these rebel boys....

So fantastic! It was such an enthralling read that I didn't realize I was at the end of this serial until the very last page....and that is when my heart sunk into withdrawals. I need more!!
Seriously, if you're debating whether to get into this series, don't debate any more. Just grab it and read. It's absolutely phenomenal and the most enthralling series I've read. The characters are so relatable and the storyline has amazing depth to it. The friendship and struggle between Kaydon and Cyena just makes my insides melt in happiness.

If you're read Severed already, this book doesn't really delve into Tyana's story yet (but I assume book 3 will). Trapped delves into Cyena's story and struggle. She doesn't realize how much she loves her newfound freedom until it's taken away and then she will stop at nothing to regain it. Cyena is shy and has been looked down upon her entire life, but beneath everything that was pushed to the corners is a strong-willed woman who cares deeply about both classes of Lemurian

I really enjoyed this book more than the first one because it focused on one sister and there was one point of view to follow, and for some strange reason I like that although, there is one point of view I really wish we could have and that is Kaydon, I really love him and I want to see more of him. Kaydon, he's so loyal, "sensing her slow, Kaydon moved closer. After saving her life atop of the walls, he never strayed far from her." I think Kaydon is teaching Cyena some things, "betray is a strong word." He rose, agitated. "I saw how your kind treated you. Open your eyes, Cyena. This life is better than the one you lived." There's feelings starting to develop between Kaydon and Cyena and Kaydon has the balls to admit it, "I couldn't let him have you," he replied at last. "That's the truth of it." And he gets to showing her he means business, "you are so stubborn," Kaydon growled. He gripped her chin again lightly. He kissed her." I can't wait to see what comes next for this series.

Same as with the previous installment in this serial, I adored this! This isn't overly technical (most scifi authors obsess on the technical and alien details, totally suffocating their stories and usually bore me to tears even though I am a fan of the genre on TV and in movies) and there's a lovely blend of romance amid the action. Cyena is a vibrant character. She has her flaws, such as not knowing her mind, wanting to rely on other people, not being able to move forward, not having confidence, but she does grow during this installment, which is utterly fascinating to watch. I love her relationship with Kaydon and I definitely hope to see more of the both of them together in coming serials. And I loved the direction the story took with her having to face the harsh face of her elite people and make hard choices with who she should side with. This is such a fantastic series and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes a dash of romance with a flavor of science fiction.

After the last book I couldn't wait to read the next. I was glad this one only focused on one sister Cyena because I don't know if I could have handeled waiting a chapter or more to find out. I like that you find out a little more about the proficie but not fully. I also like you find out more about the characters. Its going to be even more interesting to see what else comes next. And if they will be able to get to earth to the other sister. It was great finding out a character I previously thought had died hadn't and was really kaydons brother. Kaydon is awesome and loved him even more after this one. I was glad Cyena finally did something other then mop and feel sorry for herself, I kept wanting her to get going and be strong. I know she can be but she wouldn't and finally did once Kaydon came into the picture. I'm excited to see what happens with Cyenas sister.

I really liked this story. It was short, which I was sad about, but it is part of a serial series so, the next one will come soon!!! I liked the better look at Cyena. She's really a strong person and tries to give her people a second chance. Those same people that had shunned her for her whole life. She does what she knows is right for the betterment of her people even though she knows the consequences may be high. And, Kaydon???? I can't get over him. He's a good man, he saw things in Cyena that her people were blind to. He took a chance with an uncertain outcome to protect Cyena. So strong and compassionate, willing to wait. There was an added twist (and bit of happiness after the way the first book ended!!!) when we meet Kaydon's brother. A lot to look forward to with the next installment!

So I have mixed feelings about these novellas/serials. I feel like they need to be/could be longer. It's like I'm just really getting into the story again and it ends. I know that even with a series of novels you're left wanting more but at least with those you're given more before being left hanging.

Despite my frustration with the length I do enjoy the story. This second installment picks up with Cyena and goes through what her life is like now that the elite capital has fallen. There's some surprises and twists that keep you reading. I don't want to say much more because I hate spoilers. It was a little dissapointing to have heard anything about Tyana but I'm assuming that the next installment will be about Tyana.

I love the direction this book took. This book was all about Cyena and what has happened to her since the fall of the city. She is still dealing with being an Elite in hiding and the loss of everything she knows. Her sister is missing she doesn't know where her parents are or even if they are alive. She is drawn to a Warwalker named Kaydon and he is the only one she trusts but how much can she trust him. When she finds out that there may still be Elite alive she goes in search of them at the request of Kaydon and the freedom fighters. When she does find them she is forced to make a choice between leaving or saving the other Elite. I was so enthralled I could not put it down from beginning to end you will not know what is coming. I can not wait for the next book in this series!

I really liked that they decided to focus on Cyena in the book she is hopeful that she can save the few remaining elites that are in hiding and she trys very hard to do so. She then realizes that these people are still saying that she is still not worthy to be an elite since her abilities are not more greater that those of a servant. We then meet Hywin who appears to go off the deep end and is crazy and is still trying to get Welon and him to mate. I think it is crazy that he is in denial and is convinced that the rebellion will just blow over and that the people with him are dumb enough to follow. I cant wait for the next book in the series and will be eagerly waiting for it to come out. This is an awesome book well worth the read !

I can only say that Julia Crane and Lizzy Ford always dilivers!!

This second book in the Starwalker Serial focuses on Cyena. The City has fallen and the rebellion has taken over their world. Cyena must find her self strength, and courage to help those that are held captive by One of the Elite's, a madman bent on power drawn over the edge by all that has happened. I love how Cyena's romance develops with Kaydon. This is such a exciting read I love, love, love, It!!! I can't wait for Exile My BABY IS BACK!!! Yes Ryker!!

You all have to read this series, it's just so addictive, trust me you will be hunting Lizzy Ford and Julia Crane for next book.

This book was amazing just like the first one and it starts off where the last one started. In this book you get to see Cyena and what she is going through. There is a lot of drama and action in this one. We get to see Cyena evolve into who she is and gain her confidence. We also see her relationship with Kahdon evolve. This story reveals things that we didn't know before but still leaves questions unanswered for the next book in the series. This book was a great read and I would recommend it for anyone who likes romance or books with a paranormal aspect. I can't wait for the next one to come out!

This book is all about Cyena! When we left her in Severed, Tyana had starwalked to another planet and left Cyena. Cyena was saved by Kaydon. Now she must learn how to hide her Elite blood, blend in with the rest of the people who survived. Thankfully she has Kaydon to lean on, although she doesn't see it right away. Cyena has to face some harsh truths about her family, the Elite and commoners and her feelings for Kaydon. Cyena has to depend on her powers to try to save some people who don't necessarily want saved.
As expected in a book from Lizzy Ford and Julia Crane, nothing is obvious or expected! I really enjoyed Trapped and OMG for Kaydon! He is definitely swoon-worthy!

WOW WOW..... This was one amazing book and I loved every bit of it. There was so many things that shocked the hell out of me like I couldn't believe two people were brothers I wAs shocked. I cyena is one strong person she has been through so much in this and the last book and she keeps going no mater what and realizes she writes her own fate and can live her own life the way she wants it. I just want to beat the crap out of almost all of the elites. Big cliff hanger btw but this was a really good book but also I want to warn y'all it is a short book so don't get disappointed. Lizzy ford rocked it

Trapped was as great a read as the first book in the series. The action is non-stop and will not be able to put the book down. Cyena is put in a position by Kaydon to go to the elite and get them to compromise, but what she gets from them is more rejection than she has ever experienced before and the hatred from Welon’s father is hatred in the physical form. Kaydon risk his life to save Cyena but when it comes down to it Cyena must save herself. An unexpected person shows up and reveals a secret but there are more hidden secrets that will be revealed in time. I look forward to reading the next book in the series; the only bad thing about this series is that the books aren’t long enough.

was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

This segment of the series is focused primarily to Cyena and her “path” so to speak. Cyena is found by Kaydon, on the destroyed grounds of the only home she has ever known. She is propositioned to help the resistance and is torn between loyalties to her people and whether Kaydon is being honest with her about the world around her.

This book has amazing twists that I did not anticipate in the least. We are introduced to new species of elite that have gifts thought to have died out. As far as I see it this segment in the series is flawless and I cannot wait to read book three. I give this 5 fangs.

I received this book from Barclay Publicity in return for a fair and honest review.

This is the second short installment of the Starwalkers series and this novella concentrates on Cyena and how she tries to cope with the changes the war has brought and her sister's disappearance. You really feel for her as she finds a group of elite only to find out that their view of what is happening is skewed and once again, she is made to feel inferior to them. There is more between Kaydon and Cyena too and I am really hoping for a happy ending for those two.

An excellent installment, still short but full of action.

The second part of the Starwalkers series picks up where part one left off, with this having more of a focus on Cyena. Throughout this novel Cyena must figure out who she really is and how to surivive with everything going on around her. Not knowing where her sister is or if she survived Cyena is doing what she can to survive in the hopes of meeting up with her sister. I truly enjoyed her relationship that she has with Kaydon and the direction in which the story is going. The authors put together a great mix of romance, action and sci-fi I look forward to reading book 3 of this series!

Book #2 in the Starwalkers serial. This was an awesome book - loved that it started where Severed left off. If you haven't read Severed yet, please do so before reading Trapped.

Learning more about Cyena. Cyena is trying to figure out what happened to her sister, parents and the rest of the elite. Kaydon is keeping an eye on Cyena and asks for her help. Can't say anymore or it will give the plot of this book away.

Received a copy of this book for an honest review.

This was a really great sequel of the book Severed. I love everything about it but most of all, I love Kaydon. He was the perfect example of chivalry! The way he treated Cyena was simply heart-warming. Determined but not imposing...a very distinct characteristic I love about Kaydon. I can't wait to see how this story will unfold but it is suffice to say that this short installment of this great series will really be worth your while! Cyena and Kaydon rock!!!!! :)

I was definitely NOT disappointed! Lizzy Ford and Julia Crane delivered again. Everything that Cyena goes through in this is challenging, testing, emotional, shocking, and in parts very much a tease for where the rest of the story will go. Cyena had to think very quickly on her feet as she had to fight for her life to survive the insanity that seemed to be prevalent with some of the elders she encountered. I wish #3 Exiled was already available!

The two sisters, Cyena and Tyana are separated. Cyena is in hiding as a servant on her home world and Tyana is in hiding on Earth. Kaydon, a member of the rebellion that destroyed her world is protecting Cyena. I liked Cyena and Kaydon together. She is very naïve and sheltered but she is sweet. This was a good follow up to the first novella. I am eager to read the next installment to see how Tyana is doing on Earth, since this novella was only about Cyena and Kaydon. 4 stars.

I truly enjoyed the first book in this series, and loved the second even more! Trapped picks up just as Severed ends and follows Cyena's journey after her city falls.
