This is a short story about Life, death, love and dreams, a story about the companionship between a young boy and his dog.
Everyone knows the saying, a man’s best friend is his dog, but Top Dog is much more than this.
Bobby is the person we all want to be but sometimes struggle to be, he’s caring, loving, optimistic, and the most reliable friend you could ever dream of. After enduring the death of his father at such an early age, all he has left are his memories, struggling to cope with the loss of his hero, Bobby finds his soul mate in an old greyhound at the end of his racing career. Together they attempt to combat all the adversities life can throw at them, knowing that through everything they will have each other.
With the guiding hand of his Uncle Tommy, they attempt to replicate the winning success his father had as a greyhound trainer, with limited funds and little training knowledge, they attempt to win one last time.
Will they succeed, or is success better judged by the lessons learnt along the way.
