One cold winter night Nina's life changes forever. Her husband is dead and she is left alone to raise their new baby girl. After several months Nina feels like she can't quite move on because she wasn't able to go to the funeral of her husband Alex. She doesn't understand how a healthy man could drop dead. She start to ask some questions, which some people don't want her to do. Someone is experimenting with a new Alzheimer drug the problem is people are dying in order for this to happen.

This was a great page turner. It kept my interest from the first word until the end. The plot was interesting since Alzheimer's is something most people are familiar with. The character development and the plot twists were well done.

I might just have to check out another book by this author.

I would have given this book 5 stars except it was slow and not the ending I expected. But overall I did want to finish this book as the story held me to the point of curiosity....how would you feel if you were about to give birth anyday and live in a neighborhood that is unnerving to say the least.

She meets up with a local reporter who finds strange things happening...that young men and women all over town are dying of "heart attacks". Is this what happened to Alex? Nina's husband? The book explores the world of brain research and how it affects the town and what lengths some doctors will go to in order to finish their research....
