I was enjoying this book until 85% into it. Then....BAM, RUINED IT! Sorry but nope....can't handle that. I don't care WHY it was done. I only care that it WAS in fact done. If you read it, you will understand what I mean. I am so mad right now.
After all this......
I tried to finish this book. Really I did, cause I loved Dominic. But this was such a disappointment that I couldn't make it past the 90% mark because I just do not care anymore what happens. And if I can't finish this book, then I won't be able to finish the Slater Brothers series. Really sucks. *sigh*

#I can’t believe I’m going to say this but…Hell, ALEC is by far my FAVORITE book from the Slater Brother Series!! And that banter between Aideen and Storm was frickin' hilarious!!#
✓ Alec, who we all know as Dominic's perverse, older bisexual brother, takes place the night of Bronagh's 21st birthday (so yes, the same day of where Bronagh, the novella ends) and meets our heroine after an ex-slag of his attacks a friend of hers and Branna's. Apparently, said ex-slag, thought that Aideen (Branna's friend and NOT our book heroine btw) was Alec's latest conquest and got all jelly when she mauled Aideen in the face and rendered the latter incapable of getting herself home.
This consequently leads to prodding through Aideen's cellphone, after Brenna is nowhere in sight to divulge Aideen's home whereabouts, and Keela Daley (*Alec's love interest*), is then called to bail her ailing friend home.
But...as luck would have it, Alec is there (since he was the very one who contacted Keela) when Keela arrives to pick Aideen up, and Alec being Alec, the insatiable manwhore that he is, is his ever charming self and tries to seduce Keela, only to be belligerently rebuffed and shoved onto the ground.
Things all of course change, when Keela's cousin, Micah's, (yes, the b*#ch from Dominic ) wedding announcement is made and Keela finds herself in desperate need of a date++ doting boyfriend to escort her to the wedding without raising suspicions of her judgmental family and scoundrous, backstabbing, ex-boyfriend.
Who could she ask? And could possibly fit the bill?

Alec is everything that Keela could and couldn't want. He's hot, cocky, and tatted, and possesses a sinuous mouth that could melt her panties.
He also happens to be an ex-escort and is the Slater Brothers' most notorious serial one night stander and Cassanova. He knows the tricks of the trade on how to effortlessly charm a woman (or man) out of their pants and does not plan to settle down ever...until Keela.
Trying to distance himself from his escorting days, Alec is reluctant at first to take upon Keela's request, but soon finds himself unable to resist the fiery red head who had literally had knocked him on his ass the very night they met.
Alec agrees to Keela's plea and with that, makes a few rules and stipulations that she must abide by, which includes access to her delectable body, and soon finds himself breaking all his rules with her.
But with danger, old and new enemies try to tear Alec and Keela's budding relationship and a jaded past from Alec's (and his brothers') threatens everything amd everyone close to him, how will everything turn out? After all:
But just how far he (and even Keela) go to protect those that they love? And most importantly, will it be enough?

My thoughts: So as I said before, Alec is by far my favorite of the Slater Brother Series. Not only did I adore both Alec and Keela, I liked how the author brings into light on how we find love in the most odd of places (and situations) and the importance of a person's self-worth.
For Alec and Keela, both experience being set with obscurities of feeling worthy and treated as a person of equal value.
In Keela's case: she grew up in a toxic environment where she was financially stable but lacked love and was constantly ridiculed and demeaned by her mom and majority of her family members into feeling inferior and beneath them.
Whereas, in Alec's case: while he has the looks, grit, and sex appeal, he also happened to come from a hostile environment where an eye for an eye and no debt goes unpaid for.
He never willingly chose to become an escort but was forced to after his brother, Damien, landed in hot water with a madman. In order to protect Damien from imminent death, he then relinquished himself into becoming an escort due to his particular..erm, sexual skills and prowess.
"We all worked for the same man, but they weren't in my...field of work. We were sorted into jobs that our talent and skill set could be of use."
-"What talent or skill set is required to be an escort?"
"I have a big cock, so I guess that is my talent. I can make people come easily, so that would be my skill set. I know how to pleasure the human body."
It's like how Alec tells Keela,
"I guess it was a lonely one…I got wined and dined on by some very wealthy and important people. I even got laid a hell of a lot, but because I was an escort nobody ever really treated me like a person. i was treated more like an object. I like money, and I really like sex but I like conversing with people too and that rarely happened unless they wanted dirty talk while I was fucking them."
And how Keela subsequently questions why he would keep doing such a thing if he was unhappy
"Alec, why would you keep a job like that? The pros and cons do not outweigh the cons. If I knew you back when you still had that job I would slap the shite out of you!"
And ultimately makes Alec feel worth something for for the the first time in his life other than a sex object
"Why would you slap the shit out of me?"
-"Because I wouldn't let you work in an environment that treated you like dirt. You're a good fuckin' man and should be treated with the damn respect that you deserve."
It's a great moment because you can see the versatility and how in this one breaking point both characters are raw, honest, vulnerable, and utterly stripped down for once and where Alec, in particular, lets down his guard to Keela about his innermost feelings and insecurities. It's far by the most touching moment in the book as we see the duology between Alec and Keela's separate backgrounds and upbringings colliding and how despite their differences, they're not as alone and obscure as they think they are.

#A wonderful, addicting, and sensual read!! I definitely can't wait for Kane's book and I'm by chance correct, you will meet his lucky lady in Alec!! Gah, L.A. Casey, you're going to kill me with the wait!!

Even though I quite liked this book I really hated a particular scene no matter what the reason was it just made my tummy curdle and for that reason my rating is lower I just could not get past it.

I am so pissed,annoyed, and disgusted right now! I want to start by saying I loved Dominic LOVED it!! I just got back from visiting Ireland last year and I loved the people and the beautiful country. So when I come back and I come across this Irish author who writes in a way I love I'm super excited. I loved the alpha brothers, I loved everyone's smart mouths and cursing, I loved all fighting! It reminded me so much of my friends and I immediately started passing the word on how great Dominic was and how much I love L.A. Casey's writing style. I posted a raving review on amazon, I discussed it on fb, goodreads, and with my book club. I got so many people to read it because I love it so much.
With that said I obviously was dying for Alec to come out. I have read a lot of reviews and talked to a lot of people about the brother's and I find everyone gushing about all the brother's except a lot of them say they aren't into Alec cause he ..........................SPOILERS SPOILERS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.SPOLIERS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
bi-sexual and an ex escort. I however was never bothered by this. I'm a firm believer that someones past is their past and if you know about it and decide to move forward with that person anyways you can't later throw it in their face. I can get past a lot from my hero's
and I mean a lot I love me some dark read's one of my fav's is Raw enough said. But I absolutely can not get past cheating never no way no how. That is actually a subject matter that a TON of people will decide not to read a book if that is in it. The whole excuse was bull shit. First of all if the uncle threatened his family with death if he didn't make Keela hate him why not leave her in the Bahama's why not never speak to her again? And to fuck her aunt and some dude who was his former lover knowing she is in the closet watching???? Disgusting no redemption DONE for me! And if he really tried to make her hate him cause her uncle would never let her be with a whore then why try to explain and make it up to her? Why try to get back with her when the deed is done? All of sudden your brother's safety doesn't matter cause you can't live without her? And bringing back Marco? Lame and lazy in my opinion. You could have thrown in some danger from another angle to add intrigue.

I was working out on the treadmill right now reading this and I had to fricking get off cause it upset me so much. I'm not giving up on L.A. as an author cause I really enjoyed Dominic but I will be giving her a rest for awhile!!

I can't seem to stop reading this series even though there are parts, that drive me completely insane !!
This book had something different though. For those who want and need to know....

There is an MMF scene in this book that is not between the MC's..... just the hero and another man and a woman. This classifies as cheating, since he fucks both of them, while he is in a relationship. There is a reason for this though, however lame ...
It didn't bother me me, since I knew going in, but I know a lot of people who would mind. So now you are warned ;)
I am jumping into the next one...I just can't stop ;)

I want a Slater brother. They are so great.
This series is so great! It is sexy, funny, well written and the brothers are like people I would want to hang are out all the time! The Slater brothers are all very Hot Alpha males and are an extremely close knit family. They take care of their own and that includes the women each guy brings into the fold. They are handsome, tattooed, tall, muscular and hilariously funny. Alec used to work as a bisexual escort for the mob-like business his Fathers business partner ran after his parents were murdered by the same partner.
Since the brothers got out of that situation, Alec has been between jobs, living on his earnings which are plentiful. When Keela asks Alec to do him a favor and attend a destination wedding in the Bahamas as her Date so she can save face, he agrees. He wants Keela and he feels for her after hearing her story about how the groom used her by dating her to get back at her cousin for cheating on him. Then dumped her as soon as her cousin Micah forgave him.
During the week long festivities in the Bahamas, the two get close and find that they like each other a lot. Similar to the first book, these two bicker a lot and their wars of words are often witty and amusing. The romance is steamy, especially since he is a former Escort and really knows what he is doing. Also I like these books because the guys are really good to the girls. They stand up for them and protect them and show their feelings even when they haven’t yet figured out what those feelings are.

I was looking forward to this book, but I am kinda bummed after reading it. Don't get me wrong- it's not a bad book at all, but some things just didn't sit right with me. I look forward to the next installment of the Slater Brothers though...hopefully a Kane and Aideen story...*crossing my fingers*
Just an FYI, there is a f/m/m scene in this book that I wasn't expecting... (mainly due to the fact that the author said "No menage storyline, don't worry ;) "- so this is schemantics- storyline: No, scene:Yes) it's not my thing so it kinda turned me off the hero. But if this is your thing, then it probably won't change your opinion of him too much.
Also there are "cheating" elements as well. I am not a fan of cheating, and what took place in "that scene" I consider cheating. I felt that if our hero Alec, were honest with the heroine, Keela, then it could have been avoided. Furthermore, the fact that he knew she was there and could see it happening kinda sickens me...
Keela is great!! I loved her character. She is strong, funny, and doesn't take any crap (unless it's from her family). Plus she has a cool ass dog and best friend.
Alec... Alec, Alec, Alec. Not sure about my feelings on him yet... I liked him until "that scene" because I felt that his acceptance of that situation without trying to get out of it was just a huge failure. There are times in the book where he states that he is so possessive of her that he doesn't share...
"...I won't be sharing you with another man or woman. You're mine and I don't share. Ever."
He literally says this hours before he does the unthinkable. He was manipulative, and cruel the way he went about it-
I didn't buy the whole "I needed a pill" excuse. Just saying.
Overall, it was ok. I liked Dominic better, and I want an Aideen and Kane book really bad.

I felt that if our hero Alec, were honest with the heroine, Keela, then it could have been avoided. Furthermore, the fact that he knew she was there and could see it happening kinda sickens me...
Keela is great!! I loved her character. She is strong, funny, and doesn't take any crap (unless it's from her family). Plus she has a cool ass dog and best friend.
Alec... Alec, Alec, Alec. Not sure about my feelings on him yet... I liked him until "that scene" because I felt that his acceptance of that situation without trying to get out of it was just a huge failure. There are times in the book where he states that he is so possessive of her that he doesn't share...
"...I won't be sharing you with another man or woman. You're mine and I don't share. Ever."
He literally says this hours before he does the unthinkable. He was manipulative, and cruel the way he went about it-
I didn't buy the whole "I needed a pill" excuse. Just saying.
Overall, it was ok. I liked Dominic better, and I want an Aideen and Kane book really bad.

first of all I dont mind menage scene if both MC are in it and its concensual but the way this was written for the shock value I hated it first of all it was not needed because after he was done he ran to explain it to her if he was gonna do that why do it in the first place also he knew the heroine was watching and still did it thats just so low and you supposely love her sure! Also the heroine after he explain to her why he did it she just forgive him easily girl close your eyes and remember him sucking another dude and also having sex with a woman who made you feel like shit all your youth...and no matter what explanation you have its still CHEATING!!!

I read this a while ago, and I'm still upset about that awful scene.
Alec was one of my favourites, I really loved him but that scene ruined this whole book for me.
I still like him in Aideen but (he's somewhat soured in my mind now) and I find it hard to believe that he and his brothers could not think of one single way to get out of that situation without him having to do it. Sorry, but between the lot of them they could've come up with something. The fact that they let Keela be hurt really bothered me. Can you imagine Dominic or one of the others doing that to their own women? Not a chance, they would've come up with SOMETHING but they all just allowed it to happen and expected her to understand, really? I found their lack of regard for her brutal. I can't get around the fact that they all just let it occur. I wasn't happy with any of them.
And the whole situation made no sense??? He was forced to have that 3some because he had to make her hate him or his family would be killed but then immediately after he's explaining everything to her so that she would be with him again? What was the point of going through with the 3some then and in essence cheating and making her go through it if straight after he's blabbing the whole thing to her?
It also bothered me that she forgave Alec so quickly and just moved on from that mess so easily, I don't think so.
And finally, the way she just forgave her repulsive degenerate vile uncle and still "loved" him after what he did is FUCKING BEYOND ME! Complete bullshit. That totally soured this story further for me.

Sorry to say that one scene completely put me off and ruined the whole book. Wish I had known it was going to be mmf before I just hated the cheating aspect. Really didn't enjoy it at all. Such a shame because really enjoyed the first book.

are you freaking kidding me? This book was freaking awesome until 80% in. ##huge spoiler alert##. How is it at all redeemable to screw the h's aunt and the H's ex gay partner in her face then expect her to forgive you. How do you justify that? I don't care if they threatened your family. then you're going to get mad at her cause she wants nothing to do with you. then you blame her for being abducted. No it gets better....then the h apologized to him and then he asks her to marry him. and the idiot says yes. I'm disgusted and I'm Pissed that I wasted good time on this book. ms.Casey, you should have stopped while you were ahead. This book would have gotten 5 stars from me but now I'm just trying to figure a way to erase this shit from my memory

This is the third book I've read in this series. Honestly I'm getting really tired and sick of this series. It seems like all the heroines in this series all act like hardass's but aren't. I hate that. I absolutely hate when characters or people act like something there not. In this book that was a constant irration. Keela is the heroine in this book. She made me so irritated I mean she lets her family treat her like shit. She constantly threatened to hit people even though she would never. She lets her mother boss her around like she's a 10 year old doing chores. And then there was the fact that she always told Alec the opposite of the truth. Lets not forget she barely ate anything in the first half of the book. I was excited to read this because of the book summary. The whole fake boyfriend for a family wedding idea. I was disappointed the plot seemed not that interesting In the end. The Irish English dialogue was easier for me to read in this book, idk why. I liked Alec as a male love interest but he's kinda a whore. The cheating thing and Keela ruined the romance between these character for me. An example would be the majority of the book Keela constantly said how she would never have sex with Alec. Over and over again. Then there was the fact the book was too long. The one component I loved was Keelas dog. I'm rating this book 3 stars as in okay not that great.

I laughed, cried, and "awwww'd" my bloody arse off! I enjoyed reading the Irish lingo because it's definitely a change but a good one. I prefer the first book better however this plot was just as flawless as the first. The relationship was way more tame compared to Bronagh & Nico's. Alec surprised me when I saw the emotional side of him and I adored every second of it! Keela was hilarious and I adored her character; she was a very strong woman. All in all, the story was the perfect length and I would NOT change a thing.
Hands down one of my favorite series .. I know I say that about a lot of series but this one is PURE PERFECTION. L.A. Casey .. seriously where do you find the inspiration for these boys? Because I need to meet these fine specimens. I loved loved loved Dominic and was counting down the days for the release of this book! I was not disappointed however the next one MUST be released soon ... please?

So ... it all starts off with a wedding invitation + a ex-escort + a compromise
One of my favorite parts of the book was Nico's advice to Alec about woman ...
1.) The first word is 'Fine'. When a woman says this during an argument, she knows she is right and that you are verywrong. She is not fine - you're not fine, nothing is fine.
2.) Second word is 'Nothing'. By the might of God Alec, when a woman says nothing iswrong, something is definitely f*ckingwrong.
3.) The third word is 'Whatever'. This is another way for ladies to say f*ck you.
4.) The fourth is a sentence. When a woman says 'It's okay, don't worry about it,' you do worry about it. You worry a lot because she is thinking of a way to make you pay for whatever you did wrong.
5.) When a woman tells you to 'Go ahead,' you do not, under any circumstances go ahead. You retreat to a safe distance and observe the situation very carefully. She is daring you to do something, not giving youpermission.

Okay so from all the reviews you know he cheats. And you know it's for such a stupid reason cause of her uncle. And you know she accepts his apology so easily.

1) he seemed to enjoy it. I've read other stories where the man was forced and the way it was described is like he was in pain.
2) he tries to get her back immediately. Umm what's the point?
3) please for the love of God. This is not love! Stop trying to sell it as such.
But the most thing I hate is that this book yet again shows that this kind of stuff is okay. This just affects young women reading this book that cheating is okay.
