After fighting their way out of York our intrepid band of survivors push south. Unaware of the menace that shadows them they continue to battle with the ‘Infected’ determined to reach their families. Lonny Gold has other ideas, driven by a thirst for power and cruelty he smashes a path behind them killing and maiming anything that confronts him. Jake and Angel get split from the group and their passage to hope becomes clouded with death and uncertainty. A helping hand comes in the form of a man with a lust for life, a shining light. When the two forces collide there can be only one outcome. A beach awash with the blood of man shall be the hunting ground of the brave. Who will survive? This is an excellent story. It just keeps getting more frightening and exciting all of the time. The group of survivors had grown a little, but the dangers grow even faster.
Having read The Dust Book One (Blood Lust) last year I was eager to read Pursuit.
Although I found there to be a number of grammatical errors within the book, I overlooked this as the story took up where Book One left it. We join the main characters Roger, Jake, Angel and Lou Pepper as they continue their fight against the Infected, picking up survivors along the way was a great way to introduce them to the book.
Every turn of the page was filled with terror, not knowing who would survive. All I can say is I am glad I have The Dust Book Three Sanctum as leaving it up in the air like that was cruel ;).
Well, Mr. Sharp did it again!! He has continued the story from book one and it was better than book one until I read those fatal two words--The End. I turned the page and it read 'continued in book 3. SIGH
I have really enjoyed reading the first two books and following the story line as the survivors travel to the south of England trying to find family members and friends that may have survived the killer dust from book one.
Now I'm waiting for Book 3. I highly recommend David H. Sharp's books.
interesting take on the zombie genre even if they aren't zombies.I do understand that this story is not taking place in the U.S. but I'm sure that when people speak anywhere they use proper words. basically the author didn't have the book proofread and should have I hate having to re-read sentences and put in my own words so that they make sense.I did not read the first book and I'm pretty sure I won't read the third.
A brilliant and dynamic story of life after a killing zombie outbreak this is the second book in the series and an amazing tale. With some of the content this isn't PG13 or under. But still a great book to read
