When the boss of a notorious Balkan crime syndicate discovers his favourite diamond is absent without leave, James Brayden finds out that the word on the street is pointing its gun in his direction. As a hard-boiled - some say burnt-out - ex-homicide officer, Brayden has seen more of London’s nefarious underbelly than any good man should and beneath his unruffled exterior the scars cut deep.

At his apartment he encounters a trio of uninvited house guests. Outnumbered and outgunned, Brayden is starting to look like the last member of an endangered species. But Stefan and his two thugs are about to find out that a man like Brayden doesn’t die easy...
