This textbook was considered optional reading for my MLS Information Technology course… I disagree. This should absolutely be required reading. Knox's book is fast-paced, but contains incredibly valuable information. Not only does Knox include appendixes with sample technology implementation documents, but she also clearly describes the many aspects of technology implementation (including documentation) with detail, insight, and applicable examples. Knox also includes pointers on when things don't go according to plan (or according to the textbook). An excellent resource for library and technology professionals! I might just buy a physical copy for my personal shelf.

Very practical book for those spearheading a major technology project in their library from inception through to implementation and review. For those who have undergone many large library tech projects, this may be old hat, but for those newer to the process, there are useful tips.
