Veronica Miller is a plumber on a mission--buy out her dad and the family business is finally hers. One big, handsome problem stands in her way. And it's not a clogged toilet.

Jack Reid is the boy she mooned over in high school. He's back in town, but he's no longer a boy. Ten years ago he broke her heart, skipped town and never came back. Now he's a big shot lawyer in Florida whose uncle feigned a health crisis to trick Jack into coming back into town. Upon arrival Jack finds his uncle is gone, he's homeless, and forced to be roommates with the one woman he could never resist.

Jack discovers his lust hasn't cooled for the sexy Veronica, but neither has her heart forgiven him. A sex-toy educational party, romance novel writing gone awry, Goldie's meddling, an escape artist snake, a strange stalker in a fluffy pink coat, a house fire, plumbing gone awry, bitter cold, and a smart-faced garden gnome all conspire to force Jack and Veronica to work through a decade of baggage, disappointment, and unrequited lust while figuring out the mystery behind the stalker. Hilarity ensues on every page of this sequel to Gnome On The Range.

The second book in the Gnome series and still fun. h/H had a thing for each other but h's sister kind of sabotaged it. Now he is back in town, after some angry words the misunderstandings are cleared. We also have someone following the series. I have been enjoying these light-hearted reads.

Montana Ice is the second book in the Small Town Romance series. Veronica has just about everything she’s ever wanted, working her dream job, her own home, and just when she’s least expecting it, her high school crush comes waltzing back into her life and she bashes him over the head with a spanking paddle. Both are hung up and hurt about their past, but are thrown together in a hilarious journey of redemption, adding in a stalker, a gnome, and ten years of pent up love and lust. When the time comes, though, will Jack choose to stay with Veronica, or will he head back to his life in Miami?

Talk about laugh out loud moments mixed in with some heart grabbing scenes, and some serious ten years of repressed emotions exploding out. I absolutely loved how fresh and honest Veronica was, and I loved how quickly Jack became her rock and even her muse! They definitely had a second chance feel, even though it was their first real chance of having a relationship together. I loved seeing Goldie and George again, and absolutely loved how they played a role in getting Veronica and Jack back together. The stalker was also an amazing part of the story, and it definitely added many of the hilarious parts to the book. I loved how the ending played out and honestly just really loved this book! I highly recommend this series and am already so excited to see where the next book will take us!

I am loving this new series by Vanessa Vale. This small Montana town has some funny residents and I am loving them the more I learn about them. This time the book was a second chance romance. The main characters had a past that took their lives in different directions for years. But now, unique circumstances have brought them back together where they have to deal with not only their past but also some unusual happenings in the present.

Montana Ice has all the right elements for a really good relaxing read. It was funny. It was well paced to keep things flowing. As I read, I was pleasantly surprised by the twists and turns in the plot. It was a standalone so I didn't feel like I was missing anything with this being book two of the series. And I just loved the characters and was invested in what was happening with them. It was overall just an excellent read.

This book is hilarious! There is absolutely no other word to describe it. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard when reading a book. Book 2 in the series, it is completely a stand alone. While there a few characters from book 1 that make appearances (including George!) the events are totally new.

Veronica is a small town girl, following her dreams of buying her dad's plumbing company. She's a hard worker, smart, loyal, and friendly. But there is the one that got away.... Jack is a lawyer, who grew up with Veronica, but fled small town life after high school. He is back in town, to help out with his uncle's house remodel, and when he runs into Veronica, the past rears its ugly head.

This book has so much going for it. It's unusual, the characters are realistic, and the character interactions are hilarious. There were several points that I laughed until I had tears in my eyes. From mistaken identity, inept stalkers, and sex toy parties, this book is a light-hearted, fun read, that I would recommend to any one!

Small town Montana, nothing could possibly happen there, right? After all it’s a small town, what would? Then weird things start to happen.

Veronica Miller doesn’t really believe in chances, but things are starting to happen that she just isn’t too sure about. Including the strange fact that her first crush, her first love is all of a sudden showing up at her sister’s house while she is in the shower when he hasn’t been back to town in ten years. Jack Reid wasn’t sure about anything, or even really why he was back in the small town he couldn’t get away from fast enough ten years ago, but back he was. The only question was what was he going to do now that he was back?

Someone is out to get Veronica and on top of that she and Jack have to live with one another for a couple of days while their houses get completed. Is this a recipe for disaster or for a future?

Ms. Vale has done a very good job taking her readers back to small town Montana with this story. She has done a great job infusing something more than romance into the book. While the small town romance series is different than her other series the consistency of Goldilocks and “Goldie” honestly have me intrigued to see how she will continue the threads and she is probably one of the most unique characters I’ve seen in a novel in a long time. This is a great short by the pool kind of a novel.

I received a free copy of this book from the author.

This is the second book in the Small Town Romance series but you can read it by itself. In Montana Ice we meet Veronica and Jack.  These two were classmates through out school and then Jack moved away for college and remained there.

Jack's uncle called him back home to help with the renovation on his home under false pretenses. Which is quite funny once you read this revelation in the story.  :-)  When he gets there he finds this house uninhabitable and so his uncle says to go to this cabin and where the key is, so on and so forth.  Well...this is where Veronica comes into the picture.

Despite their rocky start Veronica and Jack are forced to be around each other for several days.  Which helps them clear the air about the animosity they've been feeling towards each other.  Of course you have some meddling secondary characters which make this part of the book quite funny.

This book is a quick read and will make your heart smile with these characters.  Definitely add to your list of books to read!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, suspense, and heartbreak.

Before reading this story please read the below books first
Montana Fire (Small Town Romance, Book 1)

This is Veronica and Jack’s story. Veronica wants to buy out her father, so she can have the family business, but one man stands in her way, Jack. Years ago, Veronica had a crush on Jack but all he gave her was a broken heart before he skipped town. Now he is back, and they are forced roommates. They want each other but the past is in the way. Can they overcome the past hurts in order to move on or does he just what one night and he is gone again?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

Montana Ice proved to me that I can be pleasantly surprised. Vale pulls out all the stops. She proves that small town romance can be both sexy and sweet. She not only breaks down stereotypes, she steals your heart while doing so. Veronica and Jack get a chance to finally explore an attraction interrupted. In a town where everybody knows your name and your business, romance can be the talk of the town faster than these two can even figure it out. Vanessa Vale proves she's more than a little naughty. A cute read.

Jack and Veronica’s story

This was a funny romantic story, with a little bit of danger and who-done-it thrown in to add suspense. Very easy read with likable and relatable characters. It's a super easy read, and I just loved it.

"Sorry I'm late I was reading a romance novel, you know, one of those bodice rippers, and lost track of time. I was right in the middle of a sex scene, when I should have left. But I'm not one to stop in the middle of good sex." She shook her head. "No, Sir."

How many times has that happened to you?! Me a Million!
after I picked the first up for free on Amazon I went and bought this straight away. I'm so glad I did it was hilarious! No KA hilarious but still very chuckleworthy! It also wasn't as funny as the first book I thought.

This is the sequel to "Gnome on the range."
The story of Jack and Veronica.

Veronica has a twin sister Violet.
veronica was in love with Jack all through school.
When he finally asked her out she was so excited, until her world crashed when Violet told her it wasn't her she wanted. He thought it was Violet he asked out. Not Veronica.

Ever since then she hated Jack.
Funnily enough Jack hated Veronica as well... Find out why when you read it!

Veronica works at Goldie's sex store "Goldilocks" so we do learn about whats going on wit Ty and Jane from the last book.
So Goldie keeps popping up throughout with her wisdom and sexpertise.

Really this was pretty funny and I liked it a lot.
Like when V was giving a sex toy party at a guys house,

"How I do introduce this to my wife?" Tom asked, for once a serious question, or so I thought.
"You say, Bonnie this is paddle. Paddle this is Bonnie's ass!" Joe replied to roars of laughter.

UNTIL I COULD GET BACK TO YOU

The second story in this new, Small Town Romance series was another page-turner, and yes, it has the sex shop, Goldilocks and the owner, Goldie, in the story. The story has many laughing out loud moments, some angst, anger, misunderstandings, troublemakers, and then throw in identical twin sisters and the pot gets stirred with problems.

Veronica Miller is the girl who followed in her father’s career, and has trained as a plumber and even has bought the business from him. On the side, she works at Goldilocks for Goldie. Due to a fire in her home, she is staying at her twin sister’s house.

Jack Reid will get a call from his Uncle telling him he needs help. So Jack will leave Miami and return to Bozeman to discover he can’t stay at his Uncle’s home but a message that he is to stay at Violet’s and the key is under the mat.

The plot will have Veronica hear someone coming into the house, and knowing that Violet is away at a conference. All she can see is that it is a man and grabs something to attack him. The wooden paddle may have knocked him out, but then she sees who it is, Jack Reid. There is so much angst between Veronica and Jack after what happened at the end of high school. He asked her out then ditched on her and went out with Violet.

The story will have a strange woman following Veronica around and watching her; she will even break into Violet’s home while Veronica is at work. A confrontation will have the woman accusing Veronica of trying to steal her husband from her, but nothing makes sense. When two people talk about the past, they discover that the same person did both of them wrong, but now ten years have passed, and hard feelings have clouded their judgment.

“Don’t rub the lamp if you don’t want the genie to come out.”

If you read Montana Heat, you know about Goldie, and also that she has her helpers do home sex toy parties. Veronica will host a party for a group of men, and Jack will be present. Also, the gnome will have a starring role again in this story.

Will Veronica and Jack be able to address the past and talk about the present? Is there a chance for them with a future, or will he just be leaving again to go back to Miami? Have ten years dampened the love they had as teenagers? Jack is leaving, but they have this night, do they avoid what they want or give in to the love and passion they feel for each other?

“He’d still be in my heart. But this night, this time together, was ours. The outside world—Violet,
Crazy Lady Lorraine, lawsuits—was just that. Outside. Here, in my bedroom, it was finally, once and for all, just me and Jack. I saw love. Lust, too. That combination, knowing he wanted me, body and soul, was the most amazing feeling ever. Knowing he felt it too made it even better.”

Veronica Miller has never been like the other girls and she’s okay with that. She’s a successful plumber and about to buy her father out of the family business and be sole owner. She doesn’t do relationships though . . .not since her heart was broken in high school. When the person she thinks is breaking and entering into her sister’s house turns out to be her old highschool crush, Veronica’s in for the ride of her life.

Jack Reid couldn’t wait to leave town ten years ago after graduation when the one person worth staying for broke his trust and his heart. Facing personal and professional issues in Miami, he still hops a plane to help out his uncle, only to be knocked out, literally, by the only woman he’s ever really cared for. When meddling relatives and circumstances force them into being temporary roommates will their highschool crush finally be realized or are there too many hard feelings keeping them apart?

Montana Ice was a fabulous second chances romance. Veronica and Jack were unknowingly pulled apart by a prank pulled by Veronica’s twin sister back in highschool. Both thought the other had blown them off and neither realized Violet’s trickery until fate brings them back together ten years later. Their chemistry picks up right where it left off a decade ago, but both are afraid to get too close, as they now live worlds apart.

I loved how intense their feelings were, even after so much time apart and how Jack immediately stepped in to help Veronica when she needed him most. I also adored how Jack comes to realize he can be the guy he once was when living in a small town, rather than the man he became working a job that bordered on the wrong side of morality.

In true Vanessa Vale fashion, the quirky town of Bozeman comes in to play with meddlesome characters such as Goldie, the 70 year old adult toy store and town gossip, an incredibly unlucky stalker and Jasper the snake. The book is a fabulous mix of romance and humor that keeps readers laughing and wondering what could possibly happen next. 4.5 stars for Montana Ice!

Montana Ice is the second book in Vanessa Vale's Small Town Romance series. In this book, we meet Veronica Miller and Jack Reid. When they were in high school, these two were attracted to each other. Then Veronica's twin sister, Violet, plays a prank and goes out on a date with Jack. Unfortunately, her prank estranged Jack and Veronica's relationship. Veronica thought Jack played her just to get to her sister. Jack thought Veronica put Violet up to it. This misconception lends itself to years of discontent leaving emotional wounds. Then one day, Destiny brings these two together. Will they get together and find happiness? How will they ever heal their emotional wounds? Can they trust each other? Will Violet's role in their breakup be revealed? To learn the answers to these questions you must read this book.

Ms. Vale penned a suspenseful character-driven plot. Both her primary and secondary characters are unique and play pivotal roles in moving this well-written plot along. I love the way she interjects suspense in this story with her secondary characters. There's the inanimate ceramic gnome, George. The Vietnam Vet neighbor suffering from PTSD and assumes a protective role when it comes to Veronica. There's Veronica, herself, who has a non-traditional career as a plumber. Yet, she works part time in a sex story called Goldilocks because she loyal to the owner. There's the owner, Goldie, and the psycho-stalker, Lorraine. These unique characters add excitement and humor to her plot.

Ms. Vale uses literary devices such as dialog, dual point of views, and descriptive language to move her plot along. The banter between the characters is hilarious. It had me laughing out loud. Through the dual points of view, we got a complete picture of our lead characters, Veronica and Jack. This book is a definite read. Enjoy!

Once again, I loved every word of this small town romance. Sucked in from the very beginning, the endearing characters living in Bozeman, Montana are delightful, quirky, and I just can't get enough.

Did I read this while at work?  Maybe...but once I began reading Montana Ice I absolutely hated to put it down.

It's been record breaking temps right now and I didn't need to turn on the fans because I could feel the chill rolling off the pages. Vanessa plucked me up and dropped me off into the frosty winter of Montana. As much as I hate cold weather, I love when an author can transport me into their world.

Veronica Miller has dreamed and thought of Jack Reid for ten years.

The one that got away.

Or more like.....

Slept with her sister Violet and now Veronica dreams of revenge.

Sweetly maiming Jack Reid if she ever saw him again.

So when she whacks him with a paddle over the head and possibly kills him, okay so she didn't kill him, but he did break an entering into her house. Well technically it's not her house it's her sisters, but that's besides the point, she still whacked him with a paddle, hard enough to knock him out.

He could have been a dangerous intruder.

He didn't even knock.

And he slept with her sister.

It was ten years ago, but time doesn't matter, he still deserved it.

Why does he look so good lying there unconscious?

Why is he back in Montana after disappearing ten years ago?

Why is he back in Violet's house?

Maybe she should whack him again.

Second chances, unrequited love, a crazy stalker and George the gnome returns. This book will have you LOL while falling in love. I promise.

The second book in the Small Town Romance series starts off with a freaking hilarious bang … upside someone’s head!

MONTANA ICE takes two people with past interactions and throws them together in a wild romp that had just as much hilarity and situations as the first book in the series. Veronica Miller is totally awesome. No girly girl here! She is a girl that always knew what she wanted and that was to be a plumber, and Jack Reid. But things happen and she only gets the plumbing company, that is until Jack walks back into her life and she knocks him on his butt, literally.

Jack and Veronica together are like a matching being thrown on a flame … combustible! They spark off each other very well and are so perfect for each other. But there is always something that keeps them apart. But boy do they break down the wall and get to the bottom of the past, but now they have to figure out what the future holds for them. What ensues for our intrepid heroine and hero is a series of calamities that are off-putting and hilarious with misconceptions and love in spades.

Definitely a great edition to the series. Goldie is awesome like normal and even a gnome makes a visit (gotta read the first book to understand that tidbit). All in all, a good and funny read!

Montana Ice by Vanessa Vale was a great book it was fun, exciting and quite hilarious. This was a well written book that hooks you from the start, there’s a bit of mystery, some suspense and definitely some fun characters in a small town in Montana. Veronica lives in Bozeman, Montana where she is buying the family business from dad, due to a unfortunate circumstances she is staying at her sister’s while she is away. Jack has been summoned home by his uncle who says he needs him, his uncle tell him he will have to stay somewhere else due to the fact his home has no running water. This is where the real fun begins when these two characters come together. There is history between them and maybe just a bit of heartbreak. This was a real page turner and a must read, a book you won’t want to miss. I absolutely recommend this great story you won’t be disappointed if you love a great romance with a strong witty woman and one hot sexy man. There is also a character who will have you in stitches, a gnome who gets around and something that slithers. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and I absolutely loved it.

I truly enjoyed Jack and Veronica's story. Not only did I enjoy the second chance love story but I enjoyed the humor as well. Poor Veronica and Jack learned that a misunderstanding between the two of them (with a third person causing their hurt) caused years of separation and misplaced hatred. I'm really glad that they were able to clear the air and find their HEA but I wish that we could have gotten more of that background story and why the whole situation happened (and please tell me that the stained shirt wasn't the real reason). I loved the Lorraine situation as well. I feel bad that she had to go through all of that and that poor Veronica had to deal with it but I couldn't help but laugh at the whole situation. Oh and the gnome! I love his cameo!! Jack as a great guy who was dealt a bad hand but he was wonderful with Veronica and he kept a big smile on my face. I'm looking forward to more in this series and seeing who's next with their HEA. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*

January in Montana has never been hotter!

Veronica lost her high-school crush, Jack, to her twin sister years ago but hasn’t ever really gotten over him. Jack comes back to town ten years later to help his uncle with his remodel project and finds himself crossing paths with Veronica again. At first the circumstances that split them up keep them at each other’s throats, but eventually secrets come out and nothing is as they thought it was.

This beautiful story is so much more than a romance. Veronica and Jack still have a lot of things to work through, and Jack is still trying to find his better self after years of selling his soul for his career. Side stories include Veronica’s sister, the local sex-toy shop, and a deranged yet sympathetic stalker. There’s so much fun packed in this story. Every bit flows together, tugging your heart strings even while you’re laughing your head off. It’s the most fun a book can be, and I’m looking forward to more books in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Such a fun series!

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the first book in the Small Town Romance Series, Montana Fire, so I couldn't wait to get started on Montana Ice. Though some of the same characters from book one make an appearance in this story, you can still enjoy book two. Seriously, though, if you haven't read book one, you're missing out on a really great story. Lots of laughs with a fun story line.

Montana Ice is more of a second-chance story between Jack and Veronica, two people that have a past together from back during their high school days. Now that they've been reconnected, how will they embrace their new found friendship? The story itself has some pretty good laugh-out-loud moments but there's also a really good story line as well.

I love that Goldie and the Sex Shop are back. Oh my, she cracks me up but it's such a welcome addition to the series. There's never a dull moment in either story and I guarantee you're going to fall in love with Vanessa Vale's style of writing. Five stars!

Another fun read in this series.

This time we meet Veronica and Jack. They’ve known each other for years, but for the last 10 he’s been out of town. Veronica had a crush on him back then, but after some heartbreak, he left town and Veronica was left to mend her heart.

Anyway, now they have to live together for a few days and things get awkward for a while there. It was fun seeing them trying to live together without rehashing the past. However, they really needed to do that, and boy did it change things for them.

I have to say, I REALLY disliked Veronica’s sister, I found her to be really selfish (even when she did some selfless things, I just didn’t buy it). And OMG, I didn’t like that stalker woman AT ALL. I just couldn’t believe Veronica didn’t call the cops on her. It does speak for the woman she is, but come on! That woman was crazy.

Still, it was fun and funny at times and overall an enjoyable read.

*Thank you to L. Woods PR for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*

Ahhh, another fantastic Vanessa Vale novel! I throughly enjoyed Montana Ice, the second book in Ms. Vale's new Small Town Romance series.

We're back in modern day Bozeman this time getting to know the moody and mysterious Jack and the strong independent Veronica!

Veronica, an identical twin, is a well respected professional plumber who happens to work part time in the town Adult Store. Veronica finds herself in some in some nteresting and compromising situations; unlike many of her counterparts, in the world of romance, she is ready to handle these situations head on.

Jack is back in town after 10 years, with a chip on his shoulder. Unlike Veronica, who I loved instantly, I took some time to warm up to Jack. He was a little rough around the edges but as his story unravels his true character emerges.

Jack and Veronica's story is laugh-out-loud funny and oh so sexy! This is most certainly a perfect summer beach read! Cheers and four icy stars!

Great funny addition to the series. I liked how a few characters made repeat appearances especially George. While little girls were planning out their weddings, playing with dolls and having tea parties Veronica was following in her father’s footsteps and wanting to be a plumber. With only one more payment Veronica is going to own her father’s plumbing business. She also works at Goldilocks the adult store run by Goldie and Goldie is a hot mess in the best of ways.

Jack moved away years prior to become a divorce attorney and is now back to help his uncle. They both were in for a big surprise when Veronica is staying at her sisters house because repairman are repairing her house and Jack shows up to stay at Veronica‘s sisters house also. He moved away because of a misunderstanding when they were in high school. Coming back into town dredges up old memories and feelings for Jack. Well Veronica and Jack get their happily ever after? The woman stalking Veronica is in for a big surprise also.

This series is a totally new direction for Vanessa Vale, and I LOVE IT! I'm a huge, longtime fan, and I have read every single book she has written and never been disappointed. When I saw this series, and read the blurb, I decided to give it a shot because that's the kind of fan I am. I am so, so glad I didn't turn my nose up at this one. It is sweet and sexy and has a real honest character to it. It isn't the menage that I'm used to getting from her, but it is almost sweeter because of that. I love the small town Montana setting, being a Utah native makes it easy for me to relate to that feel, I love the quirky support characters (hello, Goldie), I love that the characters are imperfect but have good hearts. I love the humor, the heat, and the HEA. I could seriously go on and on, but I'm sure you get the point, so I'm just going to say that this is a book all readers who are a romantic at heart should buy today. I know you won't be disappointed!

4 Stars!

Vanessa Vale is back with the second standalone in the Small Town Romance series and much like book one, it was an easy, softer romance with realistic characters and page-turning plots. Montana Ice was another good, solid romance packed with heart, heat, fire, and second chances that left me smiling, swooning, and very much in anticipation of book three.

She has a plan and unfortunately he's a big complication in it. And it's not just the business on the line...now it's her heart. She might have had a crush on him long ago but that moment has passed..or has it? Her body cannot deny the magnetic pull but her heart...well is complicated.

Veronica and Jack's journey... it's totally unforgettable and completely undeniable in every way.

If you like your stories feel good, lighter, fresher, and packed with heat then this is the romance series is definitely for you.

Yeah, I definitely recommend this book.

Loved Jack and Veronica’s story! Veronica is a plumber (like her Dad), but she also works part time in the town’s adult toy store! Temporarily, because her own house is being renovated, she is living at her twin sister’s home. In comes Jack, her high school crush (who she thinks rejected her back in high school)… with his back turned, she thinks he’s a burglar, so, she knocks him out!! From there, things get messed up, resolved, tangled up, smoothed out… There are good people, questionable people, and downright crazy people… mistaken identities, hospital emergency rooms, misbehaving cars, sex toys, and even an escaped snake! And that gnome is still wreaking havoc! In between the “laugh out loud” moments and the definite “sexy” times, I worried for their hearts, I waited patiently for resolutions, and I thoroughly enjoyed the read. Couldn’t put it down! Can’t wait for the next book!

With each new read, Vale makes me and even bigger fan. I fell in love with this series with the first book and was anxiously waiting for this one. And I was not disappointed. Vale gave me a sweet sexy story, that was not only set your kindle on fire hot but had me laughing out loud as well.
I am a sucker for a good second chance love story and this one had everything I look for. These characters are a hoot! Their crazy antics and the situations they get themselves in had me unable to put the book down because I just had to see what they would do next. I fell in love with Jack Reid and could not help bur root for him to find his happy. And Goldie, my fave from book one, is just as fantastic in this one!
This series is now one of my all time favorites and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book.
