I did and I did not like this book.

I will say that there are a ton of steamy scenes in it.

However, it seemed like she was escaping one prison for another, for a time. Every time she wanted to leave, he wouldn't let her. It just wasn't right. And when her life got tough, she just ran right back to him instead of figuring it out for herself. Classic weak woman. It was like she NEEDED him to step in for her, only furthering the lifestyle she was accustomed to from the compound.

I felt like he should have stepped back way earlier in the story for her and let her spread her wings in a safe way. There are PLENTY of places she could go where those guys wouldn't have found her. Their reach isn't all encompassing. If she came back to him (which she would have...I mean, this is a romance), then they both would have known it was right. But the way she came back? It felt hollow. It was like she had no other choice. She had no money and

This book was so not worth reading. First off, Charity is all over the place. And yeah, her name is Charity. She mentions to Russ that in the compound she "grew up in" (her words) she was a troublemaker with a mouth on her. Then proceeded to swear for a few paragraphs and that was it. You didn't get anything else the rest of the book. And the compound she grew up in? She was only there for 3 years so I wouldn't constitute that as growing up in. If she was there since she was 5, sure. I can see that. And for a 20 year old (her mom sent her to live with her dad in a polygamist compound when she was 16 or 17) she sure was dumb.

Then she's all over the place with Russ. Pissed at him for no reason, when she does have a reason she pouts and throws a fit about it. Whines even and the character knows she's acting like she's 5. She was so annoying!! I would have dumped her off at her mom's the first chance I got. And really? After some guy calling Russ "boss" you figured he was the owner's son and not the owner of the ranch? This chick should have been blond with all the stupid shit she did. So Russ is apparently really, really rich. She keeps saying she won't use him for money but then she keeps asking for money. The only good thing she did with that knowledge was have Russ turn his ranch into a safe haven for these women that were in the compound with her. Oh, and once they're there, she refers to them as her girls. Huh?

3rd thing- the pregnancy. Are you shitting me?

#4 there was a ton of smirking going around. For no reason.

Next, I don't care what your kid does. You do not send him or her to a compound full of polygamists especially when you divorced the dad for joining that colony. WTF?

There were other problems with Charity's character but I think I listed enough for now.

Lastly, what century was the author trying to base the characters in? Cuz one minute she's referring to his clothing as I don't even remember it was that stupid. But then it's jeans and a t-shirt. Then she makes the housekeeper all southern like and then she's speaking normally the rest of the book. And the "for I shall" or "for I didn't know" etc. Yeah, enough already. And for a character that had a potty mouth (yeah right) she sure as hell didn't know how to refer to a penis. Some of it was kinda funny but really, really stupid. I'm glad this book was free I just with I didn't finish it.

Having spent the last few years as part of a fundamentalist religious community, Charity has escaped and is now fleeing the cult that wants to keep her captive. When she crashes her car in the middle of a storm, the only protection she can find is with Russ, a stranger who provides her shelter, comfort, and enough heat to forget about the storm outside. But Russ is hiding something and Charity still isn’t safe.

Rustled is a pretty spicy romance with a crunchy coating of suspense, and it is a lot of fun. Charity is very young and inexperienced, but she’s also got a head on her shoulders and determination to get what she wants. Understandably, given her time in the cult, she is desperate to gain control of her own life and develop some independence, but at the same time, she’s a bit of a lost, broken bird.

Russ has his own issues (which I won’t go into because spoilers!), but despite his own past, or perhaps because of it, he is incredibly protective of Charity. He wants to save her and, at one point does take his protective nature to the point of being controlling, but Charity isn’t the sort to let that fly and Russ has to learn that there’s more to her than the little girl he dragged from a lake.

A little bit of control, however, is just what Charity wants in the bedroom. She might be inexperienced, but she’s willing to learn and she wants Russ to teach her. In terms of the steam rating on this one, Rustled straddles (so to speak) the line between romance and erotica, with some very light BDSM and a lot of passion.

I really enjoyed this romance. It is very sexy, good fun, with a little suspense story line to boot.

I was only a short way into the story when I figured out it wasn't going anywhere special. The author definitely knows how to write a love scene, which I think except for taking a moment to eat and sleep, that's all the story was, one non-ending love scene. The plot was very predictable and the character development was weak. If you're looking for a super-light read with graphic love scenes, this is the book for you. If you're looking to learn how to please your partner, this could also be the book for you.

The story was an interesting tale about a girl escaping an religious cult by running away but crashing in a ditch in a middle of a blizzard. In comes a cowboy that saves her life and keeps her warm and sheltered through the storm. Now the keeping her warm was the amazing part.... Yes this has hot sex and your hero is a billionaire. And yes the girl will get on your nerves but you will understand why she is so determined. Storyline (different): 3 and the Heat: 3.5 (too many BJ's).

Silly - luckily this one was free. Liked the beginning in the cabin, but got really hard to believe once they moved to the ranch.

Rustled started out as a fairly decent erotic fantasy romance between Charity Green a high spirited twenty year old young woman and a kind cowboy Russell White who rescues her during a snow storm she’s trapped in when she flees the polygamous religious group she’d been forced to live with for the past three years. But it became very uneven as it progressed. There were points it reminded me of an Americanized poor man’s version of Fifty Shades of Grey. At the start of the story Charity has the courage to flee the polygamous religious group her father had joined before she is forced to become a sister wife to one of the groups elders. But before the book is completed she’s asking Russ whether she can get her long auburn hair styled into a more manageable cut. What happened to her independent spirit? And Russ our hero becomes a total control freak with a kinky side which of course our young heroine who apparently is a closet submissive is the perfect match for. Also, what bothered me was the way one moment Charity acted like she had some common sense despite her youth realizing at 20 years old with only a 10th grade education she had things she wanted to accomplish and experience in her life before settling down even if she acknowledged she loved Russ. But once she realizes she’s pregnant she doesn’t have enough common sense to change her plans of leaving Russ to live with her financially struggling mother in a dilapidated trailer when she has no job skills to support herself and the coming baby? And was the pregnancy really an accident or Russ’s attempt to control her? When she finds out her mother is an alcoholic, hooking out of the trailer to support herself she still sticks around for a month sleeping on her mother’s couch blowing all the money Russ gave her, before calling Russ to rescue her. From that point on she seems more than willing to give Russ the total control over her life he desired and allow him to take care of her. Fortunately for the story Russ redeems himself in my eyes showing how much he trusts and respects her and Charity begins to show a willingness at least in small things to stand up for herself with him. Like I said this ends up reading a little like an American version of Fifty Shades lite.

DNF @35%, laughably bad. I didn't have high hopes when I spotted a major error in the very first section--the heroine gets in a car crash and can smell carbon monoxide coming from her tailpipe into the vehicle, except, you know, that CO is a colorless and odorless gas and that's why it's so dangerous that you need special detectors?

Seriously, shouldn't any editor or beta reader catch that, even if the author didn't know?

Things don't get any better from there. Charity is an escapee from a polygamous religious sect who didn't want to become the umpteenth wife of someone: a trope I've seen more often than I'd like. Too bad she escapes her cult prison only to end up trapped in a snowstorm with a complete stranger who she near-immediately decides to sleep with. Because screwing the first guy who's not a religious nut from your old life is clearly an empowering choice for a woman, right?

Neither lead has any distinct personality to speak of, and the narrative dissolves into so-so sex scenes with no plot to speak of pretty quickly. I didn't have to finish this to know I wouldn't like it.

I enjoy Nikki Sex books. She writes hot, steamy and twisted stories. In most of her stories, Andre is a counselor helping others rekindle a flame, or find love. In this book, he is helping Sofia uncover a sex traffic ring. Knowing this was based on some facts made this book so real. I was happy Andre finally found his forever. He has helped so many others. But to get there was the fun. This story is filled with twists and turns. But as Nikki's books are, it is on fire.

Guillaume Dubois narrates this story. I swoon over his accent for Andre. But that same accent is not detectable when he narrates other characters. I enjoy his female voice. It is smooth and easy to listen too. He brings out the best of Sofia in this book. Mr. Dubois certainly can help turn up the suspense and heat. I loved this narration,

To be rustled

Charity Green is running away from a life she never asked for but what her mother and father forced on her. On the run from her father and his cohorts she steals a truck and runs off the road. She is found almost frozen to death by Russ White, a cowboy who is more than what people see him as. At first Charity didn’t trust Russ and she definitely didn’t believe his story about how he found her and why he had stripped her of her clothes. But eventually she came to rely on him and she awarded him for his help by sleeping with him. Their bond got tighter the more they slept together but once they left the little cabin and made it to the big house everything started to fall apart. In the end things were righted and life found a way of settling old scores.

Flat out I did not like Russ. Every time Charity said she wanted to leave, Russ would say he wouldn't let her. It felt like he was keeping her a prisoner. I get that Russ's ex wife hurt him, I felt he was trying to clip Charity's wings. As the saying goes if you love someone set, set them free. If they come back they're yours, if they don't they never were. I appreciated Charity trying grow, I felt Russ could have guided her more, instead of holding her back. My biggest complaint is I wanted more conflict between RALDS and Russ and Charity. There are a lot of steamy scenes.

Basic bones

There are books you read and the author hasn’t flushed out the characters enough so they remain these flat two dimensional characters. That’s how this story was for me.
I loved the idea of it and I enjoyed the plot structure. The writing and dialogue needs improvement. And if I hear ‘kitten’ one more time. Finally stopped reading this book half way through as life is just too short to read a book where a woman is called kitten throughout.

There's a lot of steamy scenes which I always enjoy. I feel like Charity left a male dominated hell to Russ, a dominating male. I find it odd that she allows him to take charge of her as often as he does without complaint when supposedly that's a reason why she wouldn't/ couldn't deal with her religious community.

X-rated and a storyline

Three stars due to typos. I enjoyed the story, very modern fairytale. There was a timeline issue, but covered over with sex. Don't bother reading if you're in any way inhibited.

I think I would have enjoyed this between ages 15 & 20 when I wanted a guy to protect me from the crap of my childhood. Though even then I wouldn’t have needed all the sex.

20 years old? Really? Acts more 15-17. And sex doesn’t equal love.

Full of bed scenes, but the story was satisfactory. Nothing amazing or new. Also, the guy can be too good to be true. But despite that, I'm still interested to read the second book lol.

You would think this is an ordinary story. You would think these are characters like any others. Well, let me tell you. You would think wrong.

I laughed, I cried, I was impressed by the narrative style of this author and I fanned myself when I got to heated by the sex scenes. So, there is nothing ordinary or plain about this book.

We have Charity, a beautiful young woman who has been through a lot. Yet, she is not damaged, she is not like any other heroines. She is strong and she fights for what she wants.

[image error]sexy woman photo: Sexy Woman 00913elenabarolomatrixgqy3.jpg

Then we have Russ. He is incredible. Hot body worked on outdoor activities, young but wise, rich, but not ostentatious. He has a way with words and treats women like ladies.

I would like for nothing more than to summarize this book, but I think it’s worth to read it and find out for yourselves what this is all about.
I will tell you this, though, the author knows how to capture your attention. You will want to know more and you’ll not leave the book until it’s finished.

Oh Charity got to love you girl, "oh, yeah? Then why am I naked and you're naked and wrapped around me like a boa constrictor. Get off." My shrill tirade sounded weak, even to me." And the way she makes situations funny, "his warmth soaked into me almost immediately. Ohm that was nice! But something was coming between us, that damned erection again. "Seriously, does that thing stand up all the time?" And Russ that boy is just so laid back, "as soon as my hand slipped between Russ's chiseled abs and the waistband of his shorts, a quickly indrawn breath warned me that he was awake. "What are you doing, Kitten?" he growled. Somehow, the Kitten evoked a softly-purring ball of fur, rather than the spitfire he originally described." And Charity knows how to distract her man, "to distract him from the conversation, I squeezed the half-erect shaft in my hand, causing him to gasp. "If you keep that up, we'll never leave this bed, woman."

This was just so so. Told in the POV of Charity an immature sheltered woman that had just escaped from a polygamist sect it does try to offer you something new. However, the one dimensional characters seem flat as a pancake. I never cared for Russ or Charity no matter how much he did or what money he threw around. The fact that he was all domineering to her knowing how she just escaped that same twisted type of environment was just odd. Every problem that surfaced was solved with his money or he would just spank her if she gave him lip about something. Never really showed much of a development of the characters, they had sex and that's how they communicated, alot!!! The way she was waked back and forth with her feelings and being too proud to not caring was indeed stupid. Most things were handled with out much detail and issues cropped up and disappeared quickly. It had it's moments few and far between.

I bought this book sometime last year, but never got around to reviewing until now. This was the first really romance-y romance novel I've ever read, and it turned me on (pun intended) to the entire genre. Maybe it's not the best novel ever written, but boy oh boy did I enjoy it! Russ is pretty much my favorite type of hero. Strong and steady, and loves Charity unconditionally, in spite of her very complicated life and past. I've since started writing my own romance stories and the dynamic of their relationship totally influenced the ones I've written. I have to stop now. I'm getting overwhelmed by all the feels. They need to turn this into a movie. Ugh. Just thinking about it, I need to read it again. It was THAT good! Bravo, Natasha. You made me fall in love with a book for the first time.

I sincerely enjoyed this book. It grabbed me quickly & kept my undivided attention to the end. It even caused me to sacrifice sleep, which is a sure sign of a good book!

I thought that the premise of the story was extremely interesting. It was well-written with characters that I sincerely cared about. The story line really had me thinking. It was the first book that I read about this topic. A topic that I've been curious about. It was fascinating for me. I LOVE a thought-provoking & emotional journey with my steam. This book hit the nail on the head.

I highly recommend "Rustled" to adults who want substance with their erotica. It's a good book that's totally enjoyable. Write on, Natasha Stories. I'll be back!

Predictable but still lovable story with...NO cliffhanger!

Was this story a little predictable? Yes. Is it still worth reading? YES! I really enjoyed the way the author continually gives out a little at a time about our main characters, especially Russ. It's also great to watch how Charity grows emotionally and sexually. The sex scenes are HOT and the romance is beautiful. I am also happy to report that it has a wonderful HEA ending!

I almost DNF'd it at about 30 or 40%. Charity really, really, really got on my nerves. Her constant pushing him away when she really wanted him to crawl all over her was tiring. I honestly was sticking it out for Russ, he had a tender heart, he really just wanted to love her despite what his ex-beezy did to him. And this Kitten surely permanently froze 3/4 of her brain before the rescue because all she knew how to do was fuck with his head and play mind games. Not Brain Games like on HBO just juvenile immature mind games. The End.

On my Cowboy Scale of Hotness: 3 stars (Russ sounded sizzlin' hot!) Endearing story albeit highly unrealistic and unlikely. However I needed to read a romantic fantasy and this one fit the bill. I liked the idea of Charity and Russ together as much as I like Cinderella and Prince Charming. Although Charity was the most hapless soul, male or female I've ever read, Russ in any other story with a "partner" would have been the ideal mate. Thus, the 3 stars are for Russ alone.
