Blakeshire

Rate this book
Drake desires one thing—to claim the only woman he has ever loved, but doing so places her life, her immortal soul in unavoidable danger. In order to protect her, he must go against his very nature and openly seek a bond with another.

That heart-rending decision will undeniably place them both in mortal danger. For the power lies within two souls made of one. The solution to the present divide lies in the past—a past that Madison Marie is hell bent on uncovering in order to protect the man that brings rapture to her soul and completion to a life that she has longed for throughout eternity.

I'm an obsessive daydreamer. Lover of loud alternative music. I love to laugh until it hurts. Fall is my favorite season. Black is my favorite 'shade.' Strong believer in the saying: there is a reason for everything, therefore I search for 'marked moments' every moment of everyday...and I find them. Life is beautiful!

So here’s another couple who’s sibling is their child! O_O

Finally, to see Drake have his love returned. How fantastic.
Can’t wait to read more of the series, see where things go.

I’m a little perturbed... I see some of myself in Madison - I too am a Scorpio. But I don’t think I’m that bad. Yes... I have a hard time letting things go... but if the person is reasonable and explains things as Drake did, then I would be okay. Or maybe that’s just my wishful thinking. Hahah

Finally Drake and Madison's story

I love that the players are starting to figure out more about what is at play in this war that they are fighting. Drake and Madison were amazing, as I knew they would be, but I wanted to see more of the other players. I realize that there will be other books that will detail their plight during this time, however, I still would have liked to see more of them here.

Once again with this reread, Madison and Drake proved me they were (still) my favorite couple of the web. I don't know if it's the regal setting, the part they have to play or how their love story unfolds but I ADORE THEM.

They both show a tough exterior, Drake because he has to, y'know, to survive... And Madison because she feels she has to. But when they're vulnerable with one another, the stars just explode.

I loved seeing Madison's journey to opening her heart to him. I loved that they both created tests for the other to pass, that they bantered and debated like the obsessive spirits they are.

Madison's courage in this book is obviously remarkable (when you're stripped of fear, it's suddenly easier...). Her dialogue with Donalt was juste priceless, I remembered this hilarious scene (and that's saying a lot from someone like me with a poor memory).

I really enjoyed seeing the place of Drake's brothers in Esterious, and meeting Zander. These guys have Drake's back and I felt so proud of them, seeing where their story started, it's a huge improvement.

And let me tell you, I had butterflies in my stomach when I realized how in tune all the people from the web were getting. I really hope Jamie will continue this story because I'd BEG to see these young gods and goddesses get all powerful together and crush their enemies with a nod.

I did not remember Madison's locket and oh my, it also gave me butterflies, the story keeps unfolding!! Jamie is a genius and plotted a whole origin story happening before our eyes. All the ingredients of a great story are heightened with such high stakes and the characters she created make you want to root for them for eternity. For me, Blakeshire is the perfect illustration of this, which is why it's my all time favorite book in the series.

**Some small spoilers, so don't read if you haven't read the book!!

I really enjoyed this book! But... It left me wanting more!!! My mind is racing about what is going on with the other couples, and I still really want to know about this whole Landen and Drake being secret childhood friends thing. Also, what is this so-called object the fated kings touched that led them to be able to sense each other? And now we have five of the fated plus the current Sovereigns of anger (who will end up being the guiding lights), so who are the members of our final two couples??

I really love Madison and Drake, and I'm really happy they finally worked through their stuff. Learning about the connection between Preston and them was really nice as I had wondered about it a little when Madison first joined the picture and then more when I started this book. Overall it was great and I can't wait for more!

Madison and Drake

In this installment of the Web of Hearts and Souls series, Madison must overcome her insecurities to find her true heart's desire. Drake must help her move past her preconceived notions about how he feels and show her that he was always searching for her. Madison must face her fears to find her true path and purpose in the Web. Drake must learn to trust her and have faith in her choices, as well as finding his way.
This story was wonderfully written, and gave the reader a better understanding of both Drake and Madison. Jamie Magee has enchanted her fans and leaves us all wanting more. I eagerly await the next installment of the Web of Hearts and Souls series!

I've been waiting to read this book for so long it feels like, and I was most definitely not disappointed. The plot and storyline was rich, with how the main male lead is wooing and proving himself to his female lead and the mystery and secrets she must uncover to rewrite a horrid past. The trials and discoveries the characters face is romantic and consuming, very excited and hope to finish reading the rest of their story.

Love the series

I can't stop the area's well written the only complaint I have is when they talk back and forth between characters the author doesn't acknowledge who's talking so you have to stop and figure out who said it, but the story unfolds for each characters through the series. Love it

FINALLY - since the very first book in this series, I have been waiting for this book - I fell in love with Drake the first moment I 'met' him and Jamie Magee brought him to fruition just as I imagined. LOVED this book. Exactly where we needed to be in the series.

I loved this book like all of Jamie's books. However, this has been the most gut knotting one of all for me so far. I love that in a book.
