Molly Everhart Trueblood and Jane Yellowrock try to discover if a local house is indeed haunted. But the problem that they discover is far worse than a ghostly haunting, and far more difficult to solve.

Faith loves orchids. Her favorite time of year is when several are blooming. Pictures can be seen at her FaceBook page. And yes, she collects bones and skulls. She has a fox, cat, dog, cow skull, goat, a boar skull, a deer skull, (that is, unfortunately, falling apart) and the jawbone of an ass. Her prize skull is a mountain lion (legally purchased from a US tannery) hit by a car in the wild.
Her latest love is Japanese maples, and she has managed to collect over thirty.
She and her husband RV, traveling to whitewater rivers to kayak all over the Southeast. This was very short and very cute. It is from Molly the Witch's point of view and she is pretty awesome:-). Molly is hired to exorcize a ghost or a haint, which is a ghost who is attached to a person instead of a house. What seems to be a simple job turns out to be much more complicated. And Jane and Even got her back. Also, Angie baby shows up long enough to sweeten the story up:-)
This story is nothing special but has a few easter eggs hidden here and there. There were some fun moments. I was hoping that it would finally show me why Jane loves Molly so much and that for once since it's from Molly's POV I would see some real affection from the witch. Alas that didn't happen and left me even more annoyed.
Another clever short by Faith Hunter. In this addition Jane works with a witch to solve a mystery that keeps rearing its gruesome head in a haunted house. I know it is a short but I wished it was longer.
HAINTS is one more reason why vampires and witches shouldn't mix. o.O
This one is told from Molly's POV, which is awesome b/c we get to see Jane through her eyes (ALSO b/c Molly). Evan is on hand as well, and as he's not hating on Jane, that's fun, too.
Two word summary: WEIRD magic.
ALSO, there are several Easter eggs hidden for true Jane aficionados.
A story told from Molly's point of view, about a haunted house case they tackle together.
After investigating past events, they find out that .
Engaging story that strengthens Molly and Jane's friendship, after , reveals that and introduces Brax, whom I'm sure we'll see more of in future books, starting with Signatures of the Dead next.
It was an interesting story. I loved that we got it from Molly's POV, and that it had so much magic. I also liked the whole idea with the curse! I really like the dynamic between the characters. Not to mention the ending, which is cute and fun.
Haints is an audio short story from the Jane Yellowrock series written by Faith Hunter and read by Khristine Hvam. It takes prior to Skinwalker, the first novel, and centers on one of the first team-up missions of Jane Yellowrock and Molly Trueblood. It was first written and collected in the Have Stake, Will Travel anthology.
Haints centers on the team-up between Jane Yellowrock and Molly Trueblood. They are to investigate a haunted house in the neighborhood, but find out that it is far more dangerous than just a simple haunting and just as difficult to solve. It wasn't a place that was haunted, but a person.
Haints is written rather well. It is always nice to read scenes where Jane Yellowrock and Molly Trueblood are working together or just being the wonderful friends that they are. It is a fun and quaint moment between two best friends, which is told from the perspective of Molly Trueblood and contains many Easter Eggs that is found in the core series.
All in all, Haints is a well written, but more importantly, well portrayed short story about one of the earliest stories about a great friendship between Jane Yellowrock and Molly Trueblood.
Again a longer story that is about Jane and Molly. Molly's husband also plays a big part. Interesting story and insight into Molly's abilities. A nice little shout out to WeSa and the Lumber King that you might miss if you aren't paying attention. This book cements Jane and Molly's friendship and it was a good story.
I have to say, I'm enjoying Faith's short stories and I have a new paranormal heroine to enjoy. I'm using Faith Hunter's suggested reading order and I have one more story before the first full book, Skinwalker. Looking forward to this journey.
This is an ok little back story. But, the audio should have had a different narrator as it's tough to keep in mind it's not Jane's POV when she reads it all in the same voice & pronunciations she uses for Jane.
One of the better shorts in the Jane Yellowrock series, fleshing out the relationship between Jane, her witch bestie, Molly Everheart, Molly's husband, and adorable daughter Angie.
That was a magical twist and a half which had me invested. The humour, manipulation and interactions between all the players had me giggling a few times despite the seriousness of the situation. Molly is just such a pushover in many ways but it was great to see her have a few realisations yet grow to love her friend more. It was also nice to see how Jane protects those she loves in her own special way.
This series is one of my absolute favorites! So much so that it made a place on my book themed tattoo. I loved getting a view into character lives before the beginning of the story!
Told from Molly’s point of view, the reader gets to see Jane from the witches point of view, gets to spend time with the Truebloods and see Jane trying to be “human” but others accepting her Beast
