I think it was the worst book I have ever read!!! It is like watching a bad porn movie but in a book! WTF?? How can anyone say this is a 5 star book?

Maybe something is wrong with me...I am so confused....maybe I shoud stop being good and I will work as a bartender in a private club that doesn't have a bar... and I will stay in this "club" for three days among several young women who don't know what they are doing there and what will happen after the tests.
There is a hot guy, the owner, who wants to have sex with me but I don't want to but I will 'cause I think he is hot and I cannot help myself....WTF????

I thought this would be another multi shortie series that would irritate me, but I was pleasantly surprised. I have officially been drawn in..I want to know more about the club, what happens after the 3 days training, there's more to little doe eyed Nancy, and most importantly want to see more of Greyson *sigh*

There is a link between The Private Club and Katie's love Brandon. Meg discovers this immediately as she is interviewing for the job. But... what job is she really interviewing for? Greyson, the owner, will not say. With his suave and electric charisma he has Meg over a barrel!
Girl, I say run before you find out what he has in mind for you! Too late!!
These are some of the most erotically, mind-f***ing scenes I have ever read. There is a new shade of Grey here... and it is just as titillating!

Don't bother.
I have no clue what this book is about. A lawyer needs a job so she applies to be a bartender at a private club. She get a hired but has to stay at the club (apparently she brought extra clothes to her interview?) and gets a new name no one calls her by. She thinks there's something sinister about the place, so she stays and occasionally makes out with the club owner while - no, I can't go on.
The writing is bad. Really bad. A 25 year old Ivy league grad who calls a man's penis "your hardness" is just... stupid.
Seriously, just pass this one up. It sucks. To top it all off, it's a novella and there's a cliff hanger ending. But since I haven't th foggiest notion what the check is happening here, I won't bother with part two. I wouldn't. even if it were free.

OMG this book has so many twists and turns, but I loved it! Meg is out of work as a lawyer so she goes to an interview for a "bar tending" job! Once she gets to the interview she realizes something is not right! Enters Greyson , the owner who somehow knows Brandon, her best friend's boyfriend. She quickly realizes that the job is not for bar tending and decides the best way to find out how Brandon is associated with Greyson is to take the job! This is the first book in a series! You will not be disappointed!

First installment of a 3-part series.....i am falling in lust with Greyson already!!!! This book has alot of mystery surrounding it and i cant wait to see how it goes! Meg is an out of work lawyer and thinks shes applying for a bartenders job...but isnt quite sure what shes applying for after she gets there. Greyson meets with her and the chemistry is off the charts hot!!! This book kept me guessing and at end i wanted to jump in and find out what was going on!!! Get this series...you wont regret!!!!

These are short tasty little Intense stories with mystery, intrigue and some angst leaving you to wonder what in the world is gonna happen next..It's well written and has me glued wanting to know more of the hot mysterious bad boy owner of this club- umhmm:))

Like the The Ex Games series, The Private Club series by J.S. Cooper is another trilogy. It is also a spin-off of The Ex Games series, however, the reader does not have to read it before reading The Private Club. Although, I would recommend that they do because it makes the reading experience richer, and gives the reader an introduction to some of the characters.
Installment one of The Private Club, we meet Meg Riley. She is Katie Raymond’s roommate. She has been through thick and thin with Katie throughout the seven years. She is smart, quick witted, strong willed, and has a zest for life. She is an attorney and had landed her first job in a good law firm. All seemed to be going well until she was fired for no apparent reason. When she was let go, the firm refused to give her references. She has to support herself, pay school loans and wants to keep saving for her ultimate dream trip. She is forced to look outside of her profession for work. She decides to pursue bartending because the money is good, the job is easy and it will be easy to walk away from when she’s ready to pursue her dream. She answers an ad thinking it is for a bartender for a private club. Once she gets to the interview she discovers that this is not for a bartender position. Yet the position that she is applying for is not really explained. The only kind of explanation she gets is that she will have to go through three days of testing before they decide if she is a real candidate for the position they are hiring for. She is intrigued, reluctant and the lawyer in her has questions. She also feels manipulated. But she needs a job, she needs money and she is curious about the mysterious owner, Greyson Twining. He is the sexiest and most intimidating man she has ever encountered. She agrees to stay for the trial testing.
As the trial testing begins, she discovers that the Private Club is harboring secrets. A girl has gone missing. The very same woman Brandon Hastings was once engaged to. She is determined to stay and find out what’s going on for her friend Katie’s sake. Also her attraction to Greyson is growing. She wants to unravel the mystery of this man.
I liked The Ex Game series but I do have to say, I was really drawn into The Private Club series. There is an air of mystery, debaunchery, intrigue and secrets. I loved how strong willed Meg is. I think she is going to unravel the secrets of The Private Club and be the one woman who brings Greyson Twining to his knees.
I highly recommend this series!

curious if the authors are fans of Twining tea? (too me adding this later book #1 does have more steam than they other books but don't let that get you silly, it doesn't mean the other 2 do not have steam, just 1 has tons more??!) they all came out in Feb 2014, I am shocked that they didn't work as 2 books, I am not sure how they decided to break it up into 3 books? I love the mystery side of the book, not that the other parts are not interesting or do not pull you in. They do for sure. I love Greyson, I tend to like the characters that most don't ...he is a totally jerk, but he doesn't tell you otherwise, u like it or don't??! what you get it there, there are no hidden mirrors. Now why I say there should be only 2 books, it seems you keep hinting around the point and where the book will head but it ending of each book kind of makes you think? Okay will I ever know the point? So glad for me personally that all 3 were out so I could see the ending. It is there. promise. If you are one who can wait, please do. so Worth IT!! I am totally new to J.S. Cooper and Helen Cooper ... not sure what they are? sisters? brothers? same person? hubby & wife? does that ever happen? that would be a cool team of writers? I will have to do my research. I am so glad I did find them and can not wait to see what else they do write. Book #1 was free at the time ...how I was sucked into the whole set. Must read. Loved it. And I would say that ending that mean book #3 has a HEA ending. check it out! ( :

I think it was both bad and good. But seriously, what is the story here??? It just somewhat confused and very strange. I mean, how do you go to place, you realise it isn't what you expected and just hang out there? What really is this girl's problem, she should have left. There wasn't even anything about money being the biggest attraction here, just bad choices. I think Meg could have just left and handle finding out about Brandon in another way. Maybe it is just me, maybe it is the book. This was not at all reasonable.

Meg and Greyson's story happens in three days and its full of secrets and twisted plot just like ex game series.
Plot was not as thick and intense as it was in ex games but had that impact that i completed the whole book in one sitting.
It's really good story for a fast pace love at sight romance with witty ass humour.
This story is also connected to ex games so that was a plus.
Story was filled with secrets and intense emotions with really good ending.

This book had potential but so much time was spent building the mystery that the story is kind of muddled. There were some steamy scenes and I will like read the rest of the series just to figure out what the hell was going on

I would have given a higher rating but the female heroine is TSTL, pathetic and weak. I didn't believe she was a working lawyer and the guilt over sleeping with someone so quickly - seriously so what, she is 25 and most people that age have a much more relaxed attitude to sexual partners than I do so I didn't really believe it. Overall I did enjoy the book but she let it down.
