This is would have been a very informative introductory to the new First Lady back in 2001 when first published. Unfortunately, since it covers none of her time in the White House I would not recommend this for a new purchase in libraries or classrooms. However, there are lots of details covering her life before Pennsylvania Avenue with particular focus on her charity work.

A junior biography. Neat woman. I'd enjoy reading even more about her. I enjoy her love of learning (especially reading) and her sense of family.

Good basic juvenile bio for research. Nothing more; Nothing less.
