What effect might this book have had on the denouement of the VietNam war? A crystallization of eight terrible years of war into a few days. Expertly done by an army officer who served there. Wonderful prose style. Chapter 21 is a must-read.

The book takes you through the stories of many military soldiers who fought in the Vietnam War. I really liked how the stories in the book are very clear to the reader and you can actually picture what was happening at the moment on the book. One of my personal favorite characters is Lemmings, Lemmings is a very brave leader that is not scared to take risks. Overall the book is a action packed story with many life lessons and astonishing stories. Through this book I learned a lot about the Vietnam War and how it took place through the eyes of an actual soldier. If you like Historical books that tell a story this is the book for you!

interesting perspective of war as a series of cogs in a wheel. As is usual, the PFC is the product of the process.
