He'll do whatever it takes to protect her. What he won't do...
is fall in love...

Kaylee Wilhelm is tired of always being a good, respectful Southern belle. So when the man she loves leaves town after their steamy kiss, she's done. As a single mother with a demanding singing career, she has no time for pining after her former bodyguard.

Years ago Elliott Alexander disappeared for a year and then came back irrevocably changed. With the FBI still watching, he can't afford distractions. Especially not sweet kisses from the only woman who gets under his skin.

When she's targeted by a stalker who seems to know her every move, Eli is the only one who can protect her. He'll have to stop running from his past and face his demons.

And maybe, just maybe, find his way back home again.

WARNING: This book contains best friends with attitude, blind dates, the reckless use of explosives and a hero that gives new meaning to the term "in the closet". Did I mention this is a really sexy book? Just saying...

Loved it! This is a great continuation of The Alexanders. Kay & Eli are hot and intense. I love to see the characters grow. Minx does a great job of staying consistent, but giving each character their own identity. I also loved that Minx didn't feel the need to follow the latest trend with authors going overboard with BDSM. She got it just right, not to much but enough to keep you interested and curious. I waited for this book and I will keep waiting for the others. The writing and details get better with each book.

Giving all of my friends copies as birthday presents throughout the year.

Eli!! Eli!! Eli!! It is all that I can say after having read this wonderful installment in the Alexander Family series. Lord knows that is one hot and super sexy man!! I need a glass of water to cool myself off just from thinking about him.

Elliott "Eli" Alexander has been through a lot in his life and has made some decisions that, in the end, turned out not to have the consequences he intended, and, thus, he believes that, because of his past, he does not deserve true happiness. However, Eli never intended on meeting Kaylee "Kay" Wilhelm, a singer who happens to be much younger, gorgeous and "just his type" that signed to his brother Jackson's record label, who also happens to be a single mom to a beautiful baby girl named Hope, and who happens to be in danger--again. However, despite Eli trying to stay away from Kay and keep everything as strictly business, he finds that Kay gets under his skin with her kind and caring ways.

And then we have Kay, who is absolutely head over heels in love with Eli, the super sexy, bald, overprotective Alexander brother, who she "knows" has no feelings for her at all, but is charged with protecting her from the newest danger that has come into her life. Yet, Kay does not know how she is going to survive being this close to Eli without going up into flames!!

Ms. Malone has written a wonderful story about two people that are so perfect for each other it is scary and absolutely beautiful. It is the denial of the love and electricity that is flowing between them by one of those individuals and the other one trying to cope with the denial that brings out the humor in the story. I thoroughly enjoyed Eli and Kay's journey toward a love like no other. Ms. Malone is one of my absolute favorite authors, because I know that when I pick up one of her books, it will be well written, thoroughly engrossing, and an abundance of love and family, not to mention filled with hot, sexy Alexander men!!! I love that we always get to catch up with the other members of the Alexander family and their friends. So, I know that I am always guaranteed a glimpse at my man Nick Alexander!! And the best part about this series is that each subsequent book in the Alexander Family series just gets better and better. I cannot wait for the next installment. Please hurry up. Ms. Malone!!! Bravo, Ms. Malone, Bravo!!! Please keep writing and giving your readers these absolutely wonderful stories and dynamic characters, and I promise that I will keep on reading and buying your books. Excellent job.

Okay, Ms. Malone hit it out of the ball park with this one for me. So far away for the others in the interesting storyline for me it felt like I was meeting these characters in a way for the first time. Yet, Elliott Alexander was truly still his Alpha Male self and Kaylee Wilhelm was still the sweet and innocent girl.
Elliot is such an intense character by himself and then you add his trying to be noble and to keep his distance from this very young (compared to himself) Kaylee. His dark past makes him fearful of a future without fear of harming her.
Yet, although Kaylee may not have been exposed to all the dark sides of life that Eli has being a security specialist she is an old soul. She is a young unwed mother of, Hope a soon to be two year old. She basically works two jobs, one working for Eli’s brother Jackson, and a record producer. As well as singeing, writing, and recording music for her new solo album coming out soon.
Eli had been hired by Jackson to protect Haylee from a stalker which they thought they caught last summer. In the midst of her touring with the group she used to be with. That’s when they both became enamored with each other. When the group broke up and she went solo he still was around and Haylee and Hope became more a part of the Alexander family as a whole on the next Christmas there was a big storm in which they were all snowed in at the Senior Alexander’s home this is where Eli showed his first emotions ever to Haylee by kissing her like a man kisses a woman. The attraction could be harnessed no more. But at the first chance he got he turned tail and ran.
He made his escape from his parents’ home after the storm leaving Kaylee to deal with her unhappy feelings and less-than feelings. Kaylee knew it was time to stop wishing for more from her Alpha Male. At the same time Eli knew he could no longer out run his feelings like he could no longer out run his past. The FBI had made contact with him again.
When would it ever be over? At least last summer they had caught Haylee’s stalker. Or did they? A package arrives at his headquarters that tells him otherwise.
Now her brick wall is his brick wall as they are thrown into hiding together. Talking is all there is to do right? Maybe??? 
This has suspense, mystery, romance, comedy, heart and most of love with a HEA. I give this 5 stars.

All I Need is You (The Alexanders, #4) by M. Malone

***Received an ARC of this book from the Publisher, via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review***

Overall Rating: 4 Rockin’ ★★★★

All I need is You is book four in the Alexanders series by M. Malone. This was the first book I read by this author and it won’t be the last. This is a mystery/suspense novel, and I totally enjoyed every page of this book. I traveled through this book feeling a gamut of emotions: hurt, embarrassment, despair, anger, love, joy, and happiness.

The characters are fun, sexy and realistic; there were moments when I felt connected to them--like I knew them. Kaylee Wilhelm is “single mother with a demanding singing career” who makes the mistake of falling for Elliott Alexander, the owner of Alexander Security Incorporated. Elliott is troubled from his past and builds road blocks around his emotions for Kaylee. After Kaylee’s life is threatened, she has the chance to prove to Elliott that she is his one.

In the end, I loved the story and would recommend this book to anyone looking for a happily ever after ending jam-packed with lots of steamy love and intrigue…this book is for you!

Hero – Elliott Alexander: 4 stars
Heroine – Kaylee Wilhelm: 4 stars
Plot: 4 stars
Steam level: 4 stars
Cliffhanger: No
Would I recommend this book: Yes!

All I need is you, is book 4 in the Alexanders series. I loved this book, and the series as a whole is on my favorites list. Each book could be a stand alone, but it's better to start with book one. Each book weaves characters and events from previous books into the story line.

There was a lot of suspense to this story. Kay who we have read about in some of the previous books is being stocked. Eli who is head of his security firm could have assigned another body guard to watch and protect Kay, but no one could see to her protecting the way Eli can. Kay has had a crush on Eli for some time now. Eli likes Kay, but thinks he is not good enough for her. He also thinks he is too old for her. I love it when the two are forced to spend time together, in a stressful situation how the chemistry they share explodes, and the passion begins. I also loved how good he was with baby Hope.

I loved how Mrs. Malone wrapped everything up. In some series, the author leaves you hanging forcing you to read the next book. In this series each book could be a stand alone. Everything is wrapped up by the end of the book. As a reader you want to read the next book to see what will happen, who will fall in love, and to see a glimpse of your favorite characters from previous books. This is a series that I never want to see end. I am glad I have a few more books to read before the end.

I have been looking forward to this release.

Minx Malone has done a great job weaving Eli & Kay's story while maintaining the integrity of the Alexander series. If you haven't read the earlier books, you should.

Eli is the owner of a security firm in the Washington, D.C. Area -- he takes protecting all of his clients very seriously, but especially Kaylee Wilhelm, who is one of the artists that his brother Jackson is producing. When it is apparent that whoever was stalking Kay several months ago is still out there, Eli takes her and baby Hope under his protection. Their safety is everything to him.

I loved this book -- might be my favorite of the series. It has a little of everything -- romance, action, intrigue, hot love scenes and most importantly -- a great storyline. But also a heroine who really is a steel magnolia, who fights for herself and those she loves. We all knew Eli to be a good man, but he doubted himself and kept it all locked away. How it is resolved is what makes this a really book good.

Before you read this book -- go back & read the rest of the series. Not only will it give you the context, but in the process, you will gain a new book family & favorite author.

All I Need is You is the fourth book in M. Malone's romance series: The Alexanders. In this book, we get to read about Elliott Alexander and Kaylee Wilhelm, the good girl that wants to be bad (for Elliott). So, when Kaylee's life is threatened by a stalker, she gets the chance of a lifetime to convince Elliott that she is the right girl for him. This is not just another imitation, romance novel; the series allows the reader to really get to know these amazing characters. They are vulnerable, and through this vulnerability, we begin to fall in love with the story line and the people in it, especially those protective and passionate Alexander men. They demand the attention of their women, and Elliott Alexander is definitely no exception! In this book, Elliott and Kaylee take us along for a thrilling ride of action, romance, and a few scenes that will have you blushing. M. Malone has a unique gift of creating an easy read with complex characters, and making you yearn for more. I can't wait to read the next book in this incredible series. Well done M. Malone! Well done!

I ordered this “steamy and suspenseful novel about second chances” because it had “over 5,000+ five star reviews on Goodreads” and an average rating of 4.22. But I almost didn’t finish this after I got to the part where Elliott “Eli” Alexander, the MMC, is revealed to have a bedroom with a mirror on the ceiling and a closet full of sex toys including a “flogger.” He also had sex with his personal assistant after she discovered that Eli had ordered himself the flogger and had it delivered to work. Although she wanted more sex with her boss afterwards, he put her off and avoided her.

But he didn’t have any problem with HR because he was the president.

I’m no prude, and I enjoy spicy romance novels, but I don’t see anything fun about flogging a romantic partner. And I don’t like romance novels about women being abused and mistreated by men, even if it’s consensual. I haven’t read 50 Shades of Grey and I never will. Playful spanking can be fun, but I’ll never get the fascination with “flogging” and the more extreme aspects of the BDSM world. To each their own, I just don’t want to read about that extreme lifestyle.

But given the stellar ratings for this book (which were far better than Fifty Shades), I thought I’d trudge on. Unfortunately, this is the fourth book in a series and it became increasingly clear that it would have helped if I had read the previous three books about “the Alexanders.”

This book focuses on the story of Eli, Kaylee “Kay” Wilhelm and her young daughter Hope but there’s only a little back story about their prior interaction. Kay’s a single mother and regards herself as being good at being a mother, cooking and singing. Her best friend is Eli’s sister Sasha Alexander. Kay used to sing with Sasha but she cut a solo album with the help of Eli’s brother Jackson Alexander that had “lackluster sales.” She used to work in a restaurant but is now working for Eli’s other brother Nick Alexander. I have no idea what she does for him or what he does either. She’d previously kissed Eli under the mistletoe but Eli disappeared right afterwards. She was confused and hurt, but still longs for him. She’s been too busy to date since the father of Hope abandoned them.

After a dark past as a vigilante in a mysterious group called the Circle of 7, Eli made a deal with the FBI, got out, and now runs Alexander Security Incorporated even though it sounds like he’s just in his 20s. His company is based out of Northern Virginia and provides security to celebrities and politicians. It’s unclear how he became so successful so fast. The previous summer Kaylee had been harassed and required a bodyguard Eli’s company provided. I’m not sure how that was paid for but the stalker was eventually arrested and put in jail.

But a new mysterious threat has popped up that may or may not be related to the stalker. There’s no mention of getting the police involved and again, as if money were no object, and as if he didn’t have a company to run, Eli drops everything to become Kay’s personal bodyguard and personal investigator. And all of the company’s resources are devoted to Kay. The motivation for all of this was presumably spelled out in the earlier books but it made no sense to me.

Kay has a hard time figuring out Eli who shuts down any moments or feelings that spark between them:

Kay: “I’m just saying that even when the guy is trying to let you down easy, it still hurts to want something you can’t have…. I think we’ve already said all we need to say. You’re not interested in settling down. I get it.”
Eli: “Like I said, it’s just not possible.”
Kay: “I think we have different ideas about what that word means. You say not possible, but I say not interested. And that’s okay.”

I guess he’s afraid she won’t understand his freaky side.

I was annoyed by some of the ludicrous plot lines. The rich gay conservative businessman with no political experience running to be a U.S. Senator on a platform of family values, 2 years after getting a woman pregnant and abandoning her and his child, seemed more than a little far fetched. Then again, we live in the Age of Trump.

The secret vigilante strike force that Eli used to be a part of and the Big Mystery Eli was trying to solve just seemed convoluted, unrealistic and uninteresting.

And I never warmed up to Eli, a guy with a BDSM torture closet who “liked thick girls” that he could “control” with floggers. No matter how much the author tried to paint him as this wonderful sex god hero, he just struck me as “twisted” (a description both he and his personal assistant used).

Just not for me.

Sometimes It Is True...All I Need Is You

This is the continuation of the story of Kaylee Wilhelm and her infant daughter Hope. She is a single mom trying to break into the music business. Her parents, Leeland and Henrietta were not as supportive of her career and her choices, seeing she had a child out of wedlock. Her mom had been a jazz singer before she had her and she even recorded some albums. Now, let's discuss Elliot Alexander. Elliot had a company in Northern Virginia called Alexander Security Incorporated. When we left off Elliot aka as Eli had kissed Kaylee aka Kay under the mistletoe at Christmas 🌲⛄ dinner. He was supposed to take her to her parents house 🏡 later. Eli had picked up Kay and her baby Hope where they had gone in a ditch after going to the store to pick up something for Hope. So Eli went out looking for her as at same time she was calling him for help. Kaylee was attracted to Eli and she knew she could count on him. So life goes on we find him in Washington DC guarding a client, Senator Ross Evans. Where Eli's clients use to boy band s and singers, he now had branched out to Senators, Congressman and influential businessman in Washington DC area. His employees were military men such as hisself who served there country and needed a sense of purpose. Tank Marshall was a good fit for his company and someone he really trusted to be there for him and his company. Kaylee was in a group which eventually broke up but she went single and was being managed by his brother Jackson's company and Michael MacCrane. Her best friend was Sasha who sang in a group with her. Matthew Simmons use to be Kaylee's bodyguard and he is Jackson's brother-in-law. Jackson is married to Ridley and Raina is married to Matthew, a real family affair. So this is Elliot and Kaylee's story. There is a couple of twists and turns which brings a lot of drama, but was definitely a good read.

Okay read with likeable enough main characters.
Enjoy the family side of things but the tension between Kaylee and her mum was too easily dealt with.
It was obvious that it was Eli who was being tracked rather than Kaylee.
The BDSM aspect was never utilised properly. Either have it and use it properly or leave it out. Not this partial show and tell.
The way Kaylee suddenly fits into Eli’s bedroom sexual wishes was too abrupt.
Thinking back, I think this was around the time every author was writing BDSM.
Read and reviewed years ago but original review is annoyingly missing.

4th in the series and 1st one I'm listening to but I wasn't lost. Elliott "Eli" Alexander and Kaylee "Kay" Wilhelm have their own unique story and can be read as a standalone. But there are characters and storylines that sounds like they may have ties in with previous books in the series. I did enjoy Eli and Kay's story. There was a nice steady story line with a slow burn between Eli and Kay. Some small twists and a little suspence keeps you holding on but it was a little slow going to get to the end.

Hooked so so hooked

I’m hooked... I am so grateful to have found this series. I can’t put them down. I have like Elliott’s character In the other books but now I’m in Love. I’ve loved the other brothers but he is by far my favorite. He’s so commanding yet slightly insecure. He loves with every once of his being and protects what’s his. Ugh such a good read... and now on to the next one 😉

Kaylee and Eli. A single mother trying to be a good mom and trying to do her thing as a singer. She has known Eli for awhile and has a crush on him and it just gets bigger and bigger. But she figures he is way out of her league. Eli is in security and when there is a threat on Kaylee he is all over it. But he does not want to get too close. He also has feelings but his past is the problem. Is there a solution?

I think I fell inlove with the plot more than the characters. That was a ride I wasn’t expecting, had me on edge trying to figure out the person behind it all.
But
I get it Kaylee you’re not thin like everyone else, and I LOVE representation of women all shapes and sizes but it became a lot when I felt like I read something about it on every single page when there is no mention at all of Eli thinking this way. Quite the opposite actually - he literally STATES the opposite to you.
Love me a broody protector though and the HEA they got.

The Alexander’s

Kaylee and Elliot were just perfect together. The guy who feels he doesn’t deserve a life because of his past wrong doing and Kaylee a single mother and singer who only want to be with the security guy you protects her. Awesome story loved it. I could not stop reading it.

Wow what a book. This series is amazing. Each one of them has found love. Through it all. Telling the truth sets you free. She has loved him for a while. But with his past he didn't think anyone would love him. Great book

This is Elliott and Kaylee's story. Kaylee is a single mom who is also a singer and musician. She has been getting threats on her life and hires Elliott's firm to protect her.

Elliot is hiding some secrets from his past as well and is convinced he is too old and likes things to kinky to be with Kaylee. She thinks he just isn't attracted to her.

They wind up having to hide out together and everything changes between them.

Again, the story is pretty predictable and the threat isn't all that prevalent in the story, but still an easy, quick, fun read.

It was great to learn about Elliott's past. Kaylee is such a sweet girl. When Elliott gets a package that has something from Kaylee's apartment he decides she needs protection and it has to be him to be her bodyguard. Things take a turn when you find out what is happening to Kaylee.

I loved soldier Matt in He's the Man (Swoon at the new cover...but I digress), but I really loved Eli. He's the exact kind of alpha I adore, the ones with a beautiful heart under all the bravado. Kay was the perfect woman to bring out his softness without tempering his strength. And who doesn't love a man with a baby? Yeah, he was fabulous. *sigh* Plus, he was infinitely supportive of her career and her talent. Oh, and did I mention that the man has many, many layers (and secrets!)

As for the rest of the book, of all The Alexanders stories so far, this was my favorite because I really enjoyed the suspense part more than any other. The twist in the plot was extremely well executed and though I think the suspense added to the other stories, it really shined here. If I say why, that probably gives it away. So I won't. But if you liked the other Alexanders stories or if you like romantic suspense, this book was fantastic.

On a separate note, I'm realizing that my enjoyment of romantic suspense is entirely related to how much I like an author's writing and also their attention to characters. Minx creates some characters I love, so it's easy to forget that the story is both a romance AND suspense because the action doesn't detract from the love story or the character development.

And for anyone who worried after reading He's the Man or Christmas with The Alexanders that this book would delve into BDSM too much, don't. We barely gloss over Eli's interests. It's just enough to give you a taste (and fuel your imagination if you like that sort of story), but not so much to bother those who are sensitive about stuff like that. Kay is a novice and Eli loves her enough to forego the kink, if need be. So, if you were hesitant to read this one because of the potential BDSM storyline, don't be.

I'm looking forward to reading about what's really going on with Trent and Mara (teased a little here), and I already dove into the Blue Collar Billionaires pool with TANK, released early in the Alphas After Dark set. And I'm really hoping that, with the cousin stories coming down the line, we'll get down to the bottom of what happened in that barn.

Another hit out of the park, Minx! Now...on to Tank. Rowr!
