Soon, Nicholas and Annie must decide what they're willing to sacrifice, because if they don't, they'll lose everything...including each other.

A unique re-imagining of shapeshifting dragons, Shining Armor is the first book in the contemporary fantasy series, The Will of the Unknown.

The story has potential from the very beginning, a good plot, nice characters and a nice mix between action and dialogs. However it has an uneven pace. All of a sudden we have a badass heroine, then a dull character that fails to read emotional cues and fails for any handsome guy that as you espect is the bad guy. We can try to accept it as an outcome of her unestable magic but it gets tiresome. When the plot switchs to action the badass comes back and saves the day and the book. Its remarkable that the MMC is far more stable and coherent along the book. His character lends some stability to the plot.
It took some effort to finsh the book, but it will be unfair not to remark those good moments.

Shining Amour was a fun read for me. I loved the dragons in your story, and their personality as a whole was captured well. I liked Zab the best simply because he made me laughed. I would love to see more about the dragonchildren. My favorite part was when Annie was getting breakfast before going with Zab and Nick to the testing area. Brain was fun to read about-I can’t help but feel he and the ghost had some kind of close relationship. The Grand Aerie got on my nerves, and I loved how you have other species outside of the dragons. You also shows that dragons have their negative characteristics when they kill off other species because they doesn’t fit into normal or other categories. I also liked how the three words was setup- Dayscape, Nightscape, and Gloaming. In the story, I got a little confused on some parts, but rereading them helped. I’m not happy about this being book one, because now I have to wait until you finished the book(s). The book had a good ending.
