Can't find a certain book? Maybe it's too hot for Amazon! Don't worry because titles like Bad Bad Bad, This is War, Baby, The Wild, and Hale can all be found for sale on K's website in both ebook and paperback format. Website: https://authorkwebster.com/
Didn't your mother tell you to wear clean underwear in case you are an accident? Mine did. I keep wondering if you would not have been more interested in the EMTs saving your life than examining your panties, but hey, I've seen some of those firemen I would not mind showing my panties to. But I digress....wearing underwear is important. I think we can all agree on the need for undies.
Andi has been hurt. Badly. She walked in on her fiancé screwing someone else. With enthusiasm. Not the walking in...the screwing was enthusiastic. That was 5 months ago. She has been in a fog ever since. A fog of drinking, picking up men, and lying to her therapist. Her roommate, Pepper is trying to hold her together and get her to quit the above mentioned vices. But Andi is trying to forget her broken heart. And she is not subtle about it either.
Man-Killer Mode:Activated
Jackson is a tall, dark and super sexy. He has a reputation as an asshole. A well deserved reputation. He is an asshole. With a warm funny brother and a good looking bar owner best friend. More about them later hopefully.
When Andi picks up Jackson....or is it Jackson picks up Andi? More sparks fly than either of them were prepared for. And the Undies? Andi really did not get the memo about wearing them. She "forgets" her panties a lot. I mean A. LOT. I don't really get the not wearing panties with a short skirt. But I am not dating a sexy moody hottie. I am more in the Spanks frame of mind.
There are not only missing panties, but also reappearing exes (several of them), sushi, back seat sex, sassy roommates, sweet moms, and several episodes of not knocking on doors. Learn to knock people!
There is the promise of more of the brothers and their gals to come. But this is a fast paced, super sexy, first in the series. Enjoy it. Just for the love of God...wear your undies!
I hope everyone falls in love with Andi and Jackson like I did. When people ask who my favorite book boyfriend is, it's hard not to say "Jackson"! This book was exciting to write and I liked that it put a different spin on two broken people finding love. Hopefully everyone will look forward to Pepper and Olive's books coming out in March and April. Can't wait to share their stories plus continue on with how Andi and Jackson are doing!
I just finished Broken, and I did enjoy it, but it wasn't the strongest book I read of K. Webster.
The book starts with Andi wanting to surprise her fiance Brayden. When she walks into his room in sexy lingerie she finds him having sex with another woman. And it completely destroys her. She falls into drinking and eventually almost killing herself. With her therapist she finally starts to crawl out of that deep hole. And she finds comfort in sleeping with a different guy every weekend. It's fun, no emotional attachments and exactly what she wants.
Until she meets Jackson one night. They have a connection that she has never felt before. And they are sexually perfectly attuned to one another. But 3 days is 3 days. So she leaves him Monday morning and rushes to her new job. She is a little late but her boss Jordan doesn't mind. They have to wait for his brother and when he walks in she is shocked. His brother is Jackson. And that is where the tension starts. Jackson is a completely different man from the one she spent the weekend with. There is a huge push and pull from his side. One moment he is kind and warm and the next he is pushing her away. But throughout the book we find out why that is. And I loved the journey they both went on.
My copy also had some bonus chapters at the end, and I absolutely loved those. It is such an enjoyable book.
But even though I enjoyed it. I did miss some hot connection. I just finished Daddy Reed by K. and even though that is a novella. The lust and love just consumed me wholly. And I didn't have that in this book. The characters felt a bit bland in some parts of the book. I didn't feel the sex scenes in my bones. And that felt like a huge missed opportunity. At times it even felt like K. didn't write this one. It was written very distantly. I feel like I am not expressing myself that well. But yeah, I just missed some K. magic I think.
But in another way I loved it. I love how the book sets up the love stories of Pepper and Olive. So it is not bad. But I just missed that totally consuming feeling that books like Hale, the Wild and Heath did have.
Ok, ok... That's not my review! But seriously- if Jackson exists, I'd be SUPER excited if he'd call me into his office. I'm pantiless and ready for work....
Alright- now the review.
I loved Andi and her outlook on life, even when she was a mess. From the very beginning, Jackson is like hot liquid alpha male injected right into her veins. LOVE that. I loved the flashbacks at the end of each chapter so that we got to see Andi's descent into and climb out of depression. I love Andi's friend Pepper- which is great because she's the next book up!!
Jackson's issue... really made me sad. I felt for him. Giving nothing away, I will say that his hobby was SO FLIPPING HILARIOUS that I almost wet myself. Good one, Kristi!!
Jackson & Andi have chemistry for days, right from the very beginning. Kristi knows how to write hot sex.
Unbelievably bland and forgettable. One of those books that if it wasn't for Goodreads I'd never remember I read. (Or made 1/3 of the way through anyway.)
The sex is bland. The chemistry is minimal. The plot is predictable, what little plot there is. It's mostly just boring characters having boring sex. Most of the characters are underdeveloped and have all the emotion of soggy cardboard.
I'd be wasting my time trying to finish something I'll forget existed in a week, tops. There are better books on the horizon.
I understand what the writer wanted to do, but it didn`t turn out well. It was pretty bad actually. It was readable, but I didn`t even enjoy it and that speaks volumes. It was a mess.
I felt like a psychic sometimes as I read this because it was so damn predictable and cliche. Andi caught her fiancee cheating, tried to kill herself with pills over it and basically became a whore to cope. She sleeps with anything with a penis. Then she meets Jackson. Literally every other scene with them is sex of some form throughout the whole book. I'm not even kidding. It's not even well written sex. It's boring and predictable. Jackson is closed off because he's been hurt by his ex too (shocker) and so ensues chaos when she starts her new job and discovers Jackson is her new boss (again, shocker) and her cheating ex is her new co-worker (really original, right?). You can see where I'm going with this. The writing was horrible as well. No abbreviation at all, and the characters address each other by name in almost every sentence. It was beyond annoying. If this book has not been free I would be returning it for a refund instead of just deleting it.
Broken by K. Webster is the perfect combination of jaw dropping shock, gut wrenching angst, and unrestrained passion. I absolutely fell in love with these characters and was enthralled by the story line from start to finish!
Andi’s perfect bubble is popped when she catches her fiancé having sex with another woman. In an attempt to shut out and numb the pain, she constructs walls around her heart and becomes promiscuous. She refuses to let her ex’s infidelity break her and instead manipulates physical intimacy as a tool to leverage control in her out of control life. Her flings only last a weekend before she cuts the guy loose and moves on to the next. This allows her to not get invested and have the power.
Her plan was working perfectly until she jumps into a weekend of fun with Jackson. What starts as purely physical quickly develops into something deeper. Something she’s been avoiding since her heart shattered. Jackson penetrates her physically and emotionally; leaving her to second guess the façade she’s spent so much time building.
This story was a roller coaster. K. Webster wastes no time diving into the action as Andi’s hopes and dreams are crushed early on. Enter Jackson, a slew of plot twists and turns, and a passion between the characters that is undeniably delicious. I don’t want to give away the juicy details, but I will say this book is a sinful treat.
Indulge in Broken by K.Webster. It has heartbreak, drama, and plenty of steamy scenes all pieced together in a fantastic read from beginning to end. I cannot wait for the next installment in this series.
I don't think I have to tell most of you how very much I love K. Webster. From her sweet, erotic contemporary romance to her dark romance to her taboo reads, she continues to captivate me one book at a time. But this book... nope. I couldn't do it. I'm so glad her writing and her ideas have become so much better because if this was a taste of what she had to offer, I'm not sure I would have read from her again. I'm ecstatic that I'd already fallen in love with her amazing ass way before this.
The heroine: ick The hero: no idea The plot: seriously? The heat: on point
While I did like this book, it was kind of all over the place and a little too over dramatic for my taste.
I felt that some of the content could have been edited while a section of it reminded me of Gideon Cross and Ava Tremell's relationship from the Crossfire Series.
Reasons being...
To me, due to the trauma's that Andi and Jackson had been dealt with, they seek homage in purely sexual exchanges in order to interact with the opposite gender. In fact, 90% of how Andi and Jackson ever communicated was through sex.
While there was no means of rape or childhood upheaval, this book included a f*cked up revelation about Jackson's dad that reminded me of Gideon's father EXCEPT the bit.
It's now weird to admittedly say that I'm actually looking forward to Pepper and Jordan's story and even follow up novel which portrays Olive and Andi's unfaithful ex-fiancee, Brayden. Whaatt?! How did "Oliden" happen?! Straaannge. *ponders*
Until then friends! Enjoy: Man-Killer Mode turned Sex Galore/Panty fetish Meets In closet Harry Potter nerdness!!
I've read a few books by K. Webster, (War & Peace series - freakin' amazing), which I totally enjoyed, but this one didn't measure up to her awesome standards - aka... Nutjob Benny (Pretty Little Dolls). The beginning was amazing, but as I saw the end in sight, I just couldn't deal with it. I started skimming. And that's not good. Couldn't stomach Jackson and his all over the place nonsense. Sorry. Andi seemed to be a better fit for me. And, Pepper??. Can't wait to read her story! But, this was not the K. Webster that I'm used to. Too many coincidences that just didn't impress me. I will, though, give the next book in the series a chance...
The prologue was captivating, but K. Webster sped through it. The one part I was really sucked into was rushed. After that, I had a hard time not allowing my mind to wander as I read.
A lot of this book required reality suspension. Or maybe I just don't hang around people who act like this.
However, there was real promise here. The prologue set it up, but I think if Webster scaled back on some of the reactions, it may have been better. Some of it was a little too over the top.
The title should be "Wrecked" not Broken. Yes Andi's heart is broken by Brayden's cheating with another woman, but sex with one stranger after another is not the solution. Neither is swallowing pills with a vodka chaser. Yet Andi insists she didn't want to die, it was an accident. Really?????? Any of those guys she took home, 5 minutes after meeting them in a bar, could have killed her as well! Too many sex scenes and not enough story. Both she and Jackson needed more therapy not more mindless sex.

Eeeeekkkk this book is so hot !!!!!... so good! i loved it!!!
K Webster writes a sexy debut novel that should be one-clicked by anyone who loves a sizzling read! It's fun, sexy and had me turning pages until the very end. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series.
I really can't fault this book. It takes you back in between the chapters to Andi's darker days and makes you feel what she is feeling and you really get to understand why she has decided to change herself the way she has, but honestly, I love her. But Jackson - oh my - Jackson... this guy just drips sex! You will love him, I promise!
I don't really like giving reviews where I go into the story and explain what parts I liked etc, I really just want you all to read it but this book was sent to me when I really needed a read that didn't have me thinking too much, I wanted to sit back with a glass of wine, just relax and dive into a book that I enjoyed - and this book was just perfect. I really didn't want to put it down until I finished it.
Congratulations to K Webster on such a fantastic debut novel. I am so excited to read the rest of this series!!!!

I downloaded this book as a freebie. I have read K. Webster a few times, but it was very interesting to go back to one of the first books she had written. This book screams with angst. It starts us off in the fucking dredges of Andi’s life. As it splitters apart. Jackson has issues that have issues. Their connection is off the charts, but so is their damage. It somehow draws them together. Andi is ready to let go of her past and let Jackson in. Jackson struggles to reconcile his past for a future with Andi. This book will drag you down with them as they navigate the demons of past relationships.
Andi Dalton thought she had her life mapped out. College Graduation is coming up. Engaged to the love of her life. Then she finds him in bed with someone else. And, her world is shattered.
Now five months later, loads of therapy, and reality checks from her best friend she is moving on with life.
Relationships are taking a back seat to her full proof plan of weekend only endeavors.
Out on the town the weekend before she begins her job at Compton Enterprises. Landing a job as an assistant at an architectural firm is a good start to her career.
Then she meets her stranger, Jackson, and her weekend is looking pretty good.
Until she meets her new bosses, one of whom just happens to be her sexy weekend bed partner.
And, he is the complete opposite of the man who rocked her world all weekend long.
Just as she is settling in, accepting the situation, another revelation rocks her- her ex-fiance. Who just happens to be the junior associate and someone she is expected to work closely with.
Jackson runs hot and cold. His damage runs deep, but then so does Andi’s.
But, when Andi comes face to face with his damage she realizes his secrets could be their breaking point.
I’m a little biased with this one, y’all! K Webster happens to be a friend of mine! :) But with that being said, this book is HOT! I’ll tell you that erotica is not my typical genre, but what kind of person would I be if I didn’t read my friend’s debut novel?! I’m so glad I did though, because I loved it! These characters are so bold and it’s quite refreshing! Andi is one feisty little lady who isn’t afraid to go for what she wants, even though most people that have been through similar situations would be. Typically you have one outspoken lead character and one laid back, more reserved lead character. This is not the case with Andi and Jackson. They are both eccentric and they come at each other like a tornado meeting a hurricane! Andi has been burned and she just can’t handle another heartbreak so she creates this game. For a while it really helps her. Enter Jackson. The game changer! He’s got some serious baggage, but when he’s with Andi he’s a whole new person. They spend an amazing weekend together, and they are both physically and emotionally saddened that the weekend is over. But neither of them want to be the first one to break the rules. Oh and did I mention how much DRAMA! is in this book?! Picture this. You, your ex-fiance and your new, sexy play toy, who also happens to be your boss, all working together! Then throw in his ex-wife for a little spice! Yeah, you already know you want to read this and if you’re not completely convinced then I’ll let you in on a little secret… Jackson is a closet nerd and your definitely not going to want to miss out on discovering what his favorite books are! ;) You’re welcome! You did such an amazing job, Kristi and I CAN’T WAIT FOR MORE!!
There are so many wrong things in this book, I don't even know where to begin. First the characters. We have an immature, selfcententered girl with no self respect and with self destructive tendencies who uses alcohol and sex as a coping mechanism. Then we have a closed off, jerk who can't have a relationship, because he is emotionally damaged. So when these two meet is like a ticking time bomb. They start with a "weekend sex affair", that develops into a dysfunctional relationship and they use sex as a crutch for their unhealthy behaviors and emotional outbursts. The plot is not really a plot, is just a series of over the top events that are as dramatic and asinine as you can get. I felt like the author just tried to think of things to add for shock value to manipulate the readers emotions. Is just basically them having sex after any event or situation. Cliched situations and predictable "coincidences". They meet and have sex, then discover he's her new boss, then her ex starts working at the same firm too. And of course turns out they even share the same shrink. The dialogue is juvenile. The whole book felt like an x rated teen soap opera if that makes sense. Probably not, but then again a lot of things in the book didn't make sense either, so it is what it is. I have no desire to read any of the other books in this series.
Having come from a massive high after reading Broken - I had great expectations. So what a disappointment this one was.
too many pieces missing from the plot or maybe I turned the pages too fast (not in a good way) to try and find out why she was cheated on and why she was the way she was?. Must've missed it because I am still looking for it.
unpleasant female character and a very weak and underdeveloped story.
If you enjoy a very mediocre soap opera, if uninspired rabbit-like sex is your groove, dive on in.
However, if you enjoy authentic emotions. If you like your characters to have delicious texture and layers. If perhaps you like a plot that flows with such masterful storytelling that time slips away from you ... THEN HONEY DON’T READ THIS.
Utterly forgettable. Not even worth setting aside in a spicy erotica category. 😴
This sucked. It felt empty and shallow which is weird considering its about about people who've been through a lot coming together. I'm so disappointed.
Broken is the debut novel by K.Webster and it is HOT! From the moment I started this book I did not want to put it down. The characters of Andi and Jackson are so deliriously sexy you can’t help but to root for them the whole way through! This book is full of fun, drama and super steamy! This book is about how two people who are distancing themselves from even the remote possibility of love can change if the right person comes along!
Meet Andi
Andi is young and beautiful but her once sense of hope at a happily ever after has been lost. After she caught her fiance cheating, her whole outlook on love changed. After regaining control of her emotions, Andi decided never to let a man hurt her like that again. Now, Andi plays a game . . . the kind that keeps her heart safe but her needs met. Andi keeps men for one weekend, 3 days, of fun and excitement then she is done. She gets all the fun she wants with no commitment and no disappointment. Then Jackson happened . . . Jackson is rich. successful, handsome and oozes sex! But, Jackson comes with his own personal relationship drama that has left him scared too. When he hears Andi offering her game up to a stranger in a bar he decided to play along. He is completely down for a weekend of fun with no emotional attachment at the end. The weekend started out super hot right from the start in the club office . . . But it does not take long into their 3 days for you to be able to tell that what they are feeling is more than sex. When the weekend ends and they part ways you desperately want more for them. When life throws them back together can they get past their past baggage and work on their present? This whole book had me enthralled. I loved watching these two characters develop both individually and together. The flashbacks from their darker days really helped shape the characters for me and gave me great insight into why they handled things the way that they did. I though that K. Webster did a phenomenal job at producing a strong debut and I cannot wait for the other two books in this series!
For once, a heroine who is not a white goose, it's good. Except that if Andi's reasons for sleeping with different guys every weekend are understandable, her psychiatrist should have indicate that for her level of self-esteem, it's not good!
The positive side: Andi is a modern woman who assumes her sexuality and lives well going commando. She doesn't wear panties at the office and know how to please her boss...
She acts like a man playing with her sexuality by her own rules. Again, the inequality of treatment between men and women is blatantly unfair. Andi is less well perceived that Jackson who did exactly the same thing ...
The only thing that made me literally go berserk is Jackson's sentence after a single night spent with Andi: "Shhh, baby. I'm clean. Are you on the pill?" And the girls is such a horny moron that she agrees
There, I found the woman acceptance to be an enormity. I even confess being shocked! A book on woman taking her sexuality into her owns hands can be interesting but only if she played it safe. For me it was a huge mistake that reduce immediately my reading pleasure.
Beyond this misstep, I liked the flashbacks that intersect into the narrative. This gives a better understanding of the adversities the main characters have experienced.
Surprisingly, despite all my criticisms, the novel has piqued my interest and made me turn the pages. The story is well written, lively and the ending is great. Jackson's past is a real surprise. I like to be caught off guard by an author and then the final revelations were very well put!
I also liked the wounded souls of the characters. They are so fucked up that their defense mechanisms are strange. This gives the material and reality of the story.
As for the secondary characters, they are funny, touching and full of strange behavior... It makes you want to know more about them in future stories.
Reviewed for BareNakedWords.co.uk Broken (Breaking the Rules #1) by Kristi Webster 4**** This is the first book by Kristi Webster. I love the way it is written in the present but we get flash backs to her past. Andi is broken……. cheated on and left devasted by Brayden, her fiancé, she struggles with depression. Fighting her way out of it with the help of her blunt but caring best friend, Pepper, she finds solace in men……..a different one each weekend. But she has rules, they get 3 nights, 3 nights of hot wild fun, then on Monday it’s over…….and she readies herself for the next weekend……..
Jackson! Jackson is completely into the game……
“So three days. We’re agreeing to just three days, right? I can’t start this game without knowing that we both fully understand the rules.”
It suits him down to the ground.
“Woman, you are so fucking sexy. We just finished and I’m counting down until we can do it again.” Or so he thinks………….
“Fuck Andi, I don’t deserve you” “You’re my girl, not his,” he growled
Andi’s new job brings one or two complications, and some rather hot sex (I’m clearly in the wrong job!). I literally devoured the 2nd half of the book as I followed Andi and Jackson’s story!
I’m looking forward to more from Kristi, I’m sure Peppers and Olive’s stories must be forming in her mind ☺
Didn’t enjoy both MC's personalities and the writing style.. Standard storyline, it's like the author tried to make an angst story with lot of heartbreak, but ended up giving too much drama.
First Why do you need to mention their name in every conversation? It’s not like there were another person in the room. Even a kid would know they were talking towards each other.
“Jackson, I need to leave but we can certainly meet up again tomorrow. It’s been fun,” I assured him, smiling.
“Andi, it’s late. Please, stay here tonight,” he said, the frown still on his face.
“Jackson, I only live about ten minutes from here. It’ll be fine.”
UGH. And this happen not in only one scene, but in most scenes..
Second I know I’m not really good at english, but the grammar really bugs me..
Third And drama.. like wanna be Korean drama, which in this settings did not match with the culture, at all.. Seriously, Andy acted like a pro actress with the everlasting tears coming from his eyes.. such a drama queen.. If you add that with Jackson's asshole tendencies, there you go, a fucked up relationship in the making.
Want to gave the 3 star at the beginning because I thought the storyline has potential. But as the story continues, I can’t help but just ended giving this 1 star..
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This book started out somewhat promising, but then the writing took a turn, and the main character, Andi, suffered for it. For whatever reason, the author thought that making Andi wish to continue a relationship with a man who goes from extremely "hot" to an extreme "cold" where he calls her derogatory names would be a good story. Andi came off as desperate at times and
This book could have been break, but instead of making Andi a woman who realized she didn't need a man who either cheated on her or treated her like Jackson did-- she was made into a character who could only survive if a guy was sleeping with her (Ignoring that he would sleep with her and then call her a slut, and then flat out ignore her at other times).
This author is a favorite on BookTok so I guess this is a misstep. The characters were so annoying. Jackson was in love with Andi one minute and the next (immediately after a blow job) he is telling her to get the hell out of his office as calls her a whore. He acts like a 5 year old most of the book. Andi is not much better. She’s supposed to be an architect but goes to work in short skirts and no panties. I don’t want to even start on the cheating ex-boyfriend who shows up as the new associate or the conniving estranged wife who shows up naked to seduce Jackson. The sex is constant and became ridiculous. Sigh, I have spent more time on this review than the book deserves.
