Starla: There are two types of people in this world; the kind that run and the kind that stay and fight. When the shit gets deep, you find out just who people really are. I don’t have anything against people who run, their minds are set on self-preservation. But since the day I was born, I’ve always been a fighter. After reading the first book of the wild heart series from this author getting to read the ladies of Karnage really gives us a chance to see how it all began. I liked seeing how the love story began for Starla and Jameson. We see this in a small part in the Wild Heart book but to see it all was so good. Even if you have not read Wild Heart you can read this book. In this book we meet Starla and find out what actually sent her to Ireland and how she met the Kings of Karnage MC. We also meet some of the men and woman from the MC for the Ireland chapter. Finally we find out what really brought the MC to the United States. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It is a great love story and about finding out the strength that a person can have.

At first I didnt think I was going to be interested in it but after the first chapter I was hooked. Starla is fresh out of high school and she wants to go visit Ireland after doing a school assignment. Well now she and her friend Joni heads over to Dublin and stays in a mom & pop kind of hotel with ere is a bar next door full of MC bikers. Starla hits it off with the bikers but her friend doesn't at first but warms up to them. Starla and Joni were invited to a MC party but there are new guys in town from the head MC charter and here comes Jameson, well Starla and him hit it off and felt their connection. All the time that Starla and Joni were in Ireland the two love birds connected more until the night of her last night when these two confessed about their feelings. Starla stayed in Ireland and moved in with Jameson in Cork at their MC headquarters. Few months pass she has a unexpected surprise and brought them even closer.I dont have the first story but I had no problem in this one just at first I didnt know who Ani was when it popped up a few times until later in the story but I believe I found a new series to read.

I fell in love with Starla while reading Wild Heart and was thrilled to find out that Jennifer Culbreth would be giving us the background of Starla and Jameson’s love story. Their story is proof that sometimes life doesn't always go as planned.

Starla goes to Ireland right after high school graduation, as a last getaway before going off to college. She meets a local MC her first night, and her life is forever changed. We find out what will eventually bring the MC to the U.S. and fall more in love with the members of The Kings of Karnage MC.

I don’t always enjoy novellas because they are short and sometimes I feel like I don’t get to know the characters well enough. That is NOT the case with Starla. I loved the fact that I could read this in one sitting and it only added to my love for the characters in Wild Heart. I look forward to getting to know more of the Ladies of Karnage.

No spoilers this is a must read,

In Wild Hearts we experience the beginning of the story of the two main characters, which I love, Knox and Ani, With all the great characters, I loved that Jenniffer Culbreth, decided to write Starla's story one of the strongest characters in this book. I loved the story of how the group came to be, It gives a deeper insight in this MC group, and their motivations. I loved it, It was an easy flowing and an exciting read, I'm really hoping that with so many great characters in this series we get to read more of the stories behind who each and everyone really is, and how they became to be part of The Kings Of Carnage. Waiting to read what adventure is in store for this amazing group and their characters.

I recommend this awesome Series to all who love an edgy read.

I am in love with the Wild Heart series so when I heard there were going to be spin-offs of some of the featured Ladies of Karnage MC club I was ecstatic!

First up is Starla. Starla is like the clubs mother hen in Wild Heart and knew how to keep everyone in line and this book allows us to see how it all started! A once in a lifetime trip to Ireland with a friend turns out to be more than they bargained for.

Jameson is amazing! Hot, confident, rugged, and THE ACCENT...yep he can make me mashed potatoes any day! *WINK*

My only complaints was it was some editing issues, but for a novella I thought it flowed nicely.

5 *WINK* READ

I really enjoyed reading Starla. I read it after I read Wild Heart, and I think reading them in that order is important. Yes, Starla is a complete story on her own, but her story is much more complete when you have read Wild Heart. And in all honesty? After I read Starla, I went back and reread Wild Heart! It made me feel like I knew Starla a whole lot better. As much as I enjoyed her character in Wild Heart the first time, I enjoyed her even more the second time, after I had read her story! Great job, Jennifer Culbreth!!

I enjoyed Wild Heart and I'm glad this book provided background on how it all started - but it was just an okay read for me because it was hard to follow with so many characters being introduced and honestly, I was more interested in Ana & Mcgee. BUT... I will read more books from this series in the future. :)

This was such an amazing read that I could not put it down. You cannot help but fall in love with these characters and you want to see them overcome everything in their way, the story keeps you interested from the moment that you start reading and it moves along at an amazing pace.

This is definitly worth adding to your must read list. You will not be disappointed.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed the quick pace. I liked that the book was written as a memory (almost like someone reviewing their diary and remembering the emotions that have passed).

It was great to learn how Starla and Jameson met, and to get a look into the early days of the club life back in Ireland.
