I love ancient laws where death is a common punishment.

Very little is dedicated to the Twelve Tables themselves but it does give a good reference on how they were translated.

A very interesting look into Roman law. This is a reconstruction of the Twelve Tables, but it nevertheless demonstrates the culture of ancient Rome, during both its republican and imperial governments.

After reading this, I can see how the American Founding Fathers were highly influenced from Roman philosophers in creating a republican form of government in the United States. I think this is valuable to know.
