I think this book in the Book club series is my favourite so far!
Sarah is exploring the world of BDSM after all the happenings in the books before and it doesn’t always go smoothly! I loved going through her journey with her as she discovered more about herself and what it is she wants.
Reading about the things she had to go through made me feel so many emotions, anger being one of them! So many people in reality go through what Sarah does and Ali clearly did thorough research so it could be written about in a way that raises awareness but also has you on the edge of your seat wondering if justice will be served! Sarah is one of those characters you can’t help but love..one you’d want as your best friend, one you’d do anything for!
James had me feeling mad then falling absolutely in love with him. To see him willing to do anything to get his girl melted my heart and seeing the man he becomes melted other parts too 🤭
As if the journey these take wasn’t hot and steamy enough in walks Mrs Jones!! All I am going to say is that if she ever comes my way hubby will have a fight on his hands!
This book will have you feeling so much and have you immersed in a world you didn’t know you needed!
Spicy without being cringy and so beautifully written this book has to be read by any fans of romance that’s so spicy it’ll make your eyes water!
I highly recommend reading the other two books, Imogen and Lucy’s story because although this is a standalone the characters are connected and the story unfolding across all three books is one you’ll want to know the whole of!
Ali is an auto buy author for me..if she writes it I will read it. I’ve followed this series from the beginning and followed Ali’s journey and couldn’t be prouder. Not only is she an awesome author but she’s also an amazing human being!

As always Ali produces greatness !
The third in the series will seriously grip your attention from the get go. This can be a standalone but I would definitely recommend reading the first two stories as the flow will just make more sense.
Sarah will capture your imagination as James sweeps in and takes your heart. It’s an amazing read that divides your thoughts and feelings as you sink into the depths of a realistic and believable storyline of both characters lives.
You will find moments that will resonate with your own thoughts, feelings and desires. How much would you be willing to learn for the one you desire ? Some lessons in life are worth a little discomfort and pain ….right ?

This story follows Sarah and James, who we’ve met in books one and two and seen their on again, off again relationship. Sarah discovers she needs something different in the bedroom and James was initially ignorant and reluctant to understand. But he realizes he’s needs her so his buddies help him by making him read the books the book club reads, and take lessons from Tom, the expert pleasure Dom.
Sarah has a traumatic experience while learning the ropes of her new kink and becomes a shell of the spunky firecracker she is. James is the ever constant support beam for her.
They each go through some great ups and downs while working their way back to each other and it’s very VERY hot!

Sarah’s Story took me by surprise - I’ve been a fan of this series since book one - Imogen’s Story - and I’m not gonna lie, Sarah has never been my favourite character in this friend group. The OG Imogen is my fav and that’s a hill I will die on. However, reading Sarah’s journey of kink exploration, the highs and the lows, really made me connect to her in a way I wasn’t prepared for. By the end I was rooting as hard for her HEA as I was for Imogen and Lucy.
At the end of Book 2 - Lucy’s Story - a traumatic event opens Sarah’s eyes to the world of kink and longing to explore her desires, she’s forced to make some hard decisions. The man she thinks could be her HEA is not prepared to explore with her so she breaks her own heart and leaves to start fresh in London. With the help of her best friends she starts a new career and begins her journey to try and safely explore all her desires.
However, trusting the wrong D0m nearly destroys her.
James… now where do I start with James. First - he’s mine… I stake my claim on him now. This man has a character arc that will make you believe that inside every player is a man who will do anything when he finds his soul mate. The way Ali writes this man is truly spectacular. There are times I wanted to reach into the pages and grab him by the stuff of the neck and give him a good talking to… but by the end I wanted him to be jumping out of the page, and doing the same to me… holy hell this man HAWT.
This is a beautifully executed second chance romance… James’s character growth and Sarah’s self exploration offset each other perfectly. Ali navigates the gut wrenching subject of revenge p*rn and the treatment of healing from trauma through sexual self discovery in a truly masterful way.
At the end of Book 2 - Lucy’s Story - a traumatic event opens Sarah’s eyes to the world of kink and longing to explore her desires, she’s forced to make some hard decisions. This book is going to stick with me forever.
Sarah's Story is book 3 from the Book Club Series by Ali Fisher.
If you have read the first two books, Imogen's Story and Lucy's Story, you will have already met Sarah.
Something happens to Sarah in book 2 Lucy's Story that changes Sarah's views on smex, which set the course for a lot of heartache, spicy, tensions, chemistry, and so much more.
James grew so much in this book as well, and I'm here for it.
Mrs Jones, she's a formidable woman, and the scenes with her and a certain lady we've already met blew me out of the water.
This book hit me with all the emotions possible.
What Ali does best is take real sensitive, serious, and relatable topics and portray them in the most beautiful and respectful way. If anyone who has experienced what happens to Sarah in this story, will read this and say 'yes this resonates with me'.
The spice in this book will set you on fire. The 🐝D$M scenes at K's are hot hot hot.
This is more than a highly recommend from me. It is a must read.

Sarah’s Story was raw and emotional for a few reasons. It showed how easily one’s power can be taken away and shattered into a million pieces in one night. But it also showed how trusting the right people can become your salvation and give you back your power. It also explained how BDSM isn’t about chains and whips it’s about so much more when done the right way with the right person/people. You can find your own personal control. As Sarah said in the book with one word she had the control over the scene. Having that control gave her back the power that she had lost.
On to the characters…
Sarah…oh Sarah, I wanted to slap her a couple of times but only because she didn’t see what amazing people she had around her. In the end I was happy that she found what she was looking for and that last scene was 🔥.
James was absolute perfection! 1000% book boyfriend material. He saw what needed to change and didn’t waste any time. He did what most girls fantasize about and became what Sarah needed and did it to perfection!
Mrs Jones and Roxy well what can I say other than where do I sign up to be in the dungeon with them? Mrs Jones has a way of seeing exactly what Sarah and Roxy need and even James she saw it all so effortlessly and made the scene so delicious. And Roxy with all her excitement and eagerness to please well that just added the 🍒 on top.

I was lucky enough to read this as an ARC and I think I fall more in love with this series each book, if you haven't read imogens story or Lucy story then please do as its such a brilliant series.
I loved Sarah when I've met her in the previous 2 books she was just feisty and such a good side character, and James was someone I couldn't wait to find out more about.
Sarah & James have had a sort of friends with benefits situation which came to end because of something happening to Sarah I'm book 1 and her wanting to explore more of the BDSM/kink scene and James not understanding anything about it.
Sarah becomes the victim of revenge p**n, and we see how she navigates this along with her relationship with James and the kink scene.
As always, Ali writes characters so well and thoroughly thought out. The spice as you expect is on the point, and I especially love the references to book boyfriends.
I think James is now 1 of my top 3 book boyfriends (just saying).

It good
I started the series by this book and early on realised I would have to read the previous ones.
Just because of the feeling that Sarah's character needs more to share but is not included in her own book. I hope reading about her on her friends book will answer my doubts about her.
The gang is good. Their friendship and behaviour are awesome 👌

Wow I'm in love with James and Sarah
Well holy crap, I did not expect how this book made me feel!
Not only did it make me extremely horny at times but I also felt empathy, sadness, joy and anger at various stages. Anger towards Dominic!
Mrs Jones is fucking fantastic and Roxy, well I think we all need a Roxy lol and possibly all need a Mrs Jones too lol.
James and Sarah have been through so much together, all the stuff with Cameron and Imogen, the stuff with Lucy and Tom. All this while they had an on and off situationship.
But to watch Sarah finally after everything find herself and her release was truly amazing. James struggles so much at the start of this book and part of you will want to reach out and hit him a slap lol, or give him a good shake and tell him to wise up.
I literally devoured this book, please please when you read any of these books, check your triggers and definitely listen to the soundtrack at the same time. It really does add to the experience.
These stories are about self discovery, they teach us how not everything is black and white! Not everyone is the same nor is everything we are portrayed in movies true.
We really do need to make sure we are truly informed on the safety and dangers of different experiences we may or may not have or want to have in life 😉
I am now dying to know what Ali has in store for Jess's story.

Wooooo! *fans self* Sarah's story was a ride!
This follows the story of Sarah exploring her kinky side, becoming the victim of image-based SA (aka revenge porn), coping with her MH following this and coming out of it the other side. Her MMC is James, who goes through his own journey, overcoming his own prejudices and becoming the man he wants to be to Sarah. From that, you'd be surprised to find I thought this was less drama-fuelled than the previous two books, but no less dull.
This nearly had a (half) star dropped because of I figured on balance, there was very little about this book that I didn't like, hence the full complement of stars!
It takes A LOT for me to award a full 5 stars, but each of Ali Fischer's books from this series have received one. I love the characters she has created as well as the balance of steam and plot. I am gutted I have to wait another 7 months to read about Jess. I might have to have a new year marathon of the other 3 books in anticipation of it.

I have loved Sarah from the start, so I knew I was going to love hers and James's story, and once again, did Ali deliver. Oh yes, she did.
Following an incident in a previous book Sarah decides to give into her most inner desires and into the world of BDSM leaving behind her job and on/off relationship with James behind and moving to London to explore something she has never explored before.
James struggling to understand why a woman would want to put herself through pain decides to dive into her world by doing his own research and becoming our 1st ever actual book boyfriend 🥵 whilst on his research journey he discovers something about Sarah that is going to alter both of their paths forever
This book had it all I loved seeing more from the men and their banter really complimented the story and having the MMC reading and experiencing the books that a stereotypically written for women just goes to show that these books are written for everyone 👏

Sarah is a queen in every sense!
I dont know how to review this book without a million spoilers, but what I will say is that what Sarah has to go through is something that I think a lot of us women have had to deal with - and the realism of the outcome both broke my heart and made me feel so much empathy.
James is swoon-worthy, and his character development from boss-with-benefits to a fully developed MMC (and he would love being called that too) was just one step on the 'ladder'.
The kink world was described with love and responsibility, which is refreshing, and what made this book (and the others in this series) really stand out to me is the wholesome love of the male characters for their women. I really cannot wait to read the next one.

This book is written really well it shows that the world isn't black and white and that people do like to be adventurous in the bedroom by going to sex clubs, or joining sex parties at people's houses. But I also love how all the characters in this book all link together from book 1, through to book 2 and into this one

Such a fantastic book .. loved how we see how confident Sarah is through out the first two books but when it came to her story we get a more vulnerable and not so confident version of her. . Such a fantastic book .. loved how we see how confident Sarah is through out the first two books but when it came to her story we get a more vulnerable and not so confident version of her. . I really liked some elements of this and I absolutely loved James, but struggled with Sarah’s character and tendency to hide away. I didn’t feel we got the depth of her, but it might be because I have not read the first 2 books!
Nevertheless I loved the kink aspects and how James evolved and developed an understanding in a safe way.
I need a book on Mrs Jones - is there anything better than a Domme ?!
There was also some hilarious one liners. Finger guns anyone?!
Most of all, I absolutely LOVED the ending!!

I mean, when the MMC reads romance novels to better his game, he's a keeper, right? I loved the depiction of kink in this book and that people don't always get it right or make the right decisions. The relationships in this series are heartwarming and the friendships give me the feels. Definitely need to be ready in order even though they are technically standalone but there's major spoilers so please do the right thing and start at the very beginning!

I love Ali as an author and this book has some very funny moments. The topic is very well handled and the spice was a lot more than expected from her last books. I did it was all wrapped up with a bow at the end and a little cliché but theres nothing wrong with that and i love this series and will read anything from Ali. Cant wait for the next book 😍

What a great addition to this series! Sarahs story did not disappoint. Really well thought out and developed Dom/Sub trope with attention to detail in these scenes. A little FF thrown in there too which was lovely. Everything I could want in a book boyfriend. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an easy to read spicy book!
