Rick and Morty en Enfer

Rate this book

» Adventures In Poor Taste«Drôle, tordu et merveilleux.»    SciFi Pulse

Seriously? I give up. This nothing but media-tie-in cashing-in on a popular series masquerading as existential excretions. The character’s dialogue doesn’t even sound like the characterizations from the series. I haven’t been a huge fan of the other comics, but they’re often just balancing between mediocre and insipid, this was just extremely disappointing.

They really did it this time. It's the end of Rick and Morty...

It smells like week old barbecue and the wait times in this queue are crazy long. Is this the afterlife or an alternate dimension with excessive heat and red skinned people?

Rick and Morty will find out. Well, maybe just Morty.

It was OK. I feel like sometimes the characters didn't act the same way as how they would on the show.

A romp through hell with a mad scientist that doesn't believe he's dead and a kid who is having a mental breakdown almost every panel.

This was a weird little one-off comic adventure that has Rick, Morty, and the whole family somehow in a literal Hell. I wasn't sure where this was going to go since Rick literally starts by denying any of this is real, but their efforts to appeal their case ends up being quirky but not amazingly thoughtful in the same way many of the best episodes of the show manage to be.

This is not to say that the individual issues of the mini-series don't have their share of fun moments and Rick-isms if you will. But as a whole, it didn't quite leave a particularly strong impression - it was just okay extraneous Rick and Morty fare.

Great Story!

I loved the story within this comic! It had a great storyline of what most people expect while in Hell. One theme that stood out most was that Rick couldn’t/wouldn’t believe that he and Morty were actually in hell. Also there were small little connects to the show, like Mr Begeurad, and the meseeks.! This should be an episode in the new season!

I really enjoyed this one!

The entire family goes to Hell, though Rick is convinced they're just on another inter-planetary/inter-dimensional adventure. Jerry's attempts to organize an uprising fail miserably (Way to go, Jerry!), and Morty proves he's got the right stuff to impress Satan himself.

I loved all the cute little demons and devils, but, hell - everybody knows I'm easily entertained.

It does get kind of repetitive with the questioning of whether they're actually in hell. And there are moments when the characters say words or phrases I wouldn't expect them to say on the show. But the journey was pretty good overall.

A well made companion to the show, got kinda depressing reading in one sitting since they were in hell so maybe take breaks? Overall, if you're a fan of the show, you'll enjoy.
