Dogs that Make a Difference

Rate this book
From autistic children making a connection and prisoners letting down their guard, to older people finding companionship and accident victims responding for the first time, therapy dogs leave a lasting paw print on the hearts of everyone they meet. These are ordinary dogs, but they have an extraordinary gift that has been recognised by their owner.

Volunteers with the Delta Society share their stories of the people they have come to know, the lessons they have learned and the ways they have seen first-hand how a bundle of soft fur, a wagging tail and a wet nose can make a difference to someone's life. And information from Delta's dog training specialist will help you identify and enhance special qualities in your own dog.

These are inspiring tales of four-legged heroes that help change countless lives every day.

A lovely and heartwarming collection of stories about Delta dogs and the amazing work they do. Each story adds a personal element, introducing new dogs and owners with new stories to tell. I loved the color photographs in the middle, some were beautiful additions to already beautiful stories. Collected by Saskia Adams, a name I could not resist after enjoying her dog books in the past. Highly recommended for dog lovers everywhere!

Beautiful book sharing the stories behind the Delta Therapy Dog program. I couldn't read more than a couple without tears flowing. Such incredible interactions and intuition from such amazing dogs. The difference they have made to so many is immeasurable.
