This chapter goes back 20 months in time, to when the police first approached Katsu to see if he could help with the serial-killer case. And who is the cop sent to assess him? Well, none other than Mr. Hot pants himself, aka Shino.
I think this is a really genius way to continue with the story, after what happened in ch.8! Now we finally get more into the investigation (yes, I am interested in more than torture porn...) and see how it all started.

And this was the first time I could properly see this other Shino, and could truly believe that yes, he is a good guy! (Although I still don’t know if that is preferable or not…). You never know with mind-twisting series, since like a twister (duh) they can turn on you again!

This Shino is a funny and flirty man who has no qualms of making Katsu embarrassed, by taking Katsu to a „love hotel“ where Katsu can go through the case file;-).
It was great to see Katsu in such a state of mortification, again a new side after the suffering, professional and angry Katsu (ch.1-8), and the emotional, funny and passionate Katsu (prequels).

All in all, a great chapter, as always:-)!

Katsuya and Keiji's first meeting. Wish the present story would continue not a trip the past and some back story on how everyone ended up involved. Keiji seems very laid back and smarmy.
