Hi, my name's Rachel (author name R S Holloway), I'm one of the writers over at Interracial Romance World. I enjoy righting all sorts of stories, although I tend to go towards the black woman white man genre with a paranormal twist. ;)
I'm still new to the whole publishing thing, but I've a lot of great stories to tell which I've stockpiled over the years. I'll be releasing them for you soon, so enter your email address at http://www.paranormalromanceclub.com to see when they're out. And please, leave me a good review on Amazon so I know you want more. :)
I am quite boggled by the number of reviews and praise for this book. There is nothing to it. It has very common, cliched, paranormal romance tropes, e.g. instant love, juvenile dialogue, vague characters, nonexistent plot, etc . It is unfinished, literally, not just my opinion. The author asks for reviews and ratings for her to continue the story. It is rushed, the entire story (the meet, date, sex, 3 day hiatus, pregnancy speculation and discover, vampire reveal, acceptance, love forever declarations etc.) happens in about 10 days. WTH? You are writing a book not a movie . You have all the time and freedom you need to really tell your story and develop your characters. But no, we get superficial cliche BS, per usual.
The only thing I like about this story is the explanation of how the pregnancy happened. It was simple, clever and probable. BUT other than that, SKIP this. Its not worth a read, even if you can get it free.
The book started out good but to publish only part of a book is aggravating to the reader. I hate when you get only part of a story and not the entire novel. Aside from this huge aggravation the author writes well. Character development ok. The plot was different, interesting exploring different subject matter but it was just wrong to publish only a portion of a book.
Lucas is a crazy character. I feel Michele and Gavin story is not complete. What happens to the baby? Does Michele carry the pregnancy to term? Who else founds out about her pregnancy? Does Zacharia stumble across Michele pregnancy? How much danger is Michele actually? This story is far from over.
Michele and Gavin against the whole paranormal world
Loved this book. I could picture this as if it were on television. Ms Esther Banks wrote this story and made it come to life…like I was watching it on television! My only regret is that I can’t find Book 2 to complete this and to see what happened to Gavin, Michele and the baby. We didn’t get to see the First Born!
This was a good read for me, though I wish there was more to it. Something seemed like it was missing or maybe I just got spoiled and compared it to other vampire/paranormal stories I’ve read. I will check out book 2 though, I have to know what happens with them. Great storyline, love making scenes and I’m intrigued.
Chose this rating b\c this story had me hooked from the beginning. Loved the main characters & the secondary ones, well fleshed out& not just half way written props.I hope she writes more w\these characters.
I like it need book 2 asap what is awaiting for them is life really going to be hard or is these just the beginning to the real fear please give me more
This book was ok, I like the plot and characters. Good read for a rainy day or a quick bed time read. Gavin and Michele, met on a chance outing and Gavin wanted her on sight, but Gavin has a secret. He is a vampire and even though he wants her he holds back. Enter his buddy and fellow vampire Lucas who steps in and next thing you know they are on a date. Things get hot and heavy really quick when Michele finds out she is pregnant. At first Gavin doesn't believe her as there hasn't been a vampire born in the last 200 years, then he realizes what this means and how it could be very dangerous for her. feeling the need to protect her and their baby,he reveals himself in hopes that it will convince her to let him protect them. Gavin and Michele where cute and there romance was sweet. I will have to check out part two and see what happens next.
I loved the summary and was immediately interested. Unfortunately the book itself didn't hold up to the summary. It was way too short to even begin to deal with what was supposed to go on. It took less than an hour to read it and that includes interruptions. They got together too quickly. I was way more interested in Lucas and even that was mild. To top it off, it ends with loose ends. And instead of waiting anxiously for the next book, I don't care about it.
I usually don't get into interracial love stories but this one had me hooked from the first page. It reminded me a lot of the Twilight series which I love. The love between Gavin & Michele is amazing, Esther Banks did a great job capturing immediate attraction to each other. I'm hoping for a part 2 & more books to come.
This was a short read, but it had great character development, I love the vampire focus, but I gave it 4 star, I held back one star because not enough information on vampires. I want more on gay vampire, want more action. Like them as a couple catch fire. Need more love between the lead character, how will they move forward. I want more.
3.5 stars. Okay, it was a cute start, then it went, What, Huh, WTF, OH, Hmm, interesting. Loved Lucas and Gavin attitude, but overall it was not a bad story. Not sure if I continue with the series, because I need more. Again, I offended anyone, I apologize.
I wouldn't mind seeing how this story ends and maybe find out how these vamps came to be. This is a pretty good spin on a age old story. Would also like to find out what's up with Luke's relationship
Not bad at all. Great plot and good twists and turns. I would like to see a continuation. Ms. Banks left the door open wide enough for a strong continuance that should hold our interest.......
I like the book as it shows a lot of promise. I absolutely fell in love with Gavin and Michele and am very curious as to what will happen next. My only complaint is book 2. Where it at? Esther wrote this book in what...2014? It's now 2017. That baby is 2 maybe 3 years old now. How long do we got to wait? It's gonna be going to school before we know it. Heck, its probably already in school!! Hahaha But, seriously, can we get Book 2 already? Just saying. Don't leave us hanging!!
