It's a compact book, easily fitting inside a handbag or, perhaps, a large pocket. The text is quite small, so have your reading glasses on hand if you use them. This allows for an incredible amount of information to be squeezed into the guide. It's easy to navigate, with lots of cross-referencing, made easy with a map for each area of London. There are tips to save money, as well as which times provide the best value or opportunity to get the best experience. This is no rush job; it's been meticulously researched and compiled. Historical and geographical trivia is dispersed throughout. There are plenty of photographs to bring the reference material to life, though not at the expense of padding articles out. Everything here adds value. Then, the 400 pages of locations and activities are all added to a large fold-out map at the rear of the book. Simply put, this is a fantastic guidebook.
