An archeologist knows he should be focused on the safety of his dig, and not on the tough, beautiful security specialist sent to protect it.

Long, tall, and deadly Morgan Kincaid enjoys her job at Treasure Hunter Security. Raised by a tough Marine father, she loves her guns and knives, and never backs down from a fight. She’s yet to find a man who can keep up with her and after a string of first dates, she’s not feeling hopeful. Assigned to an underwater archeological expedition on the trail of a long-lost shipwreck, Morgan finds herself protecting the very hard, delicious body of a certain globe-trotting archeologist. A smart rogue with a wide smile and a boat-load of charm.

Dr. Zachariah James has information leading to a shipwreck filled with history and treasure. After growing up with nothing, he’s forged a stellar career for himself, but history is more than just a job, it’s his lifeblood. So Zach is amazed to find himself as excited by a woman as he is by his dive. Dangerous Morgan fascinates him, and he’s eager to see what she’s hiding under her tough exterior.

As they dive the azure waters off the coast of Madagascar, they uncover a sizzling attraction and clues to an impossible artifact, but soon they are under attack by dangerous black-market thieves. Among betrayals, kidnappings, and ancient temples, Zach and Morgan will need to put everything on the line to have any chance at surviving.

Well Treasure Hunter Security is back and it's the turn of female member Morgan to step into the limelight. She has been an interesting character in previous books as she is as tough as the guys , strong and brave but perhaps not the cuddliest heroine! Yes Morgan has proved her worth and fully deserves her place on the team but she is someone with no time for romance and frankly isn't really looking for the long term thing with a white picket fence!
So the almost instant connection between the wary Morgan and passionate archaeologist Zach clearly gives Morgan pause but it's a job right, nothing less but what if Zach wants more? Thrown together in Madasgar whilst discovering a long lost ship it's hard not to notice the air sizzling between them but the passion Zach is feeling for Morgan is only matched by his feelings for the history he is uncovering. Yet you know it's all about to go pear shaped as yet again Silk Road are dogging their footsteps and this nemesis of THS will do their utmost to outmanoeuer the team and steal the treasure.
Ok I'm starting to see a pattern here but honestly I don't really mind too much. I enjoyed learning more about Morgan and her past and seeing her hackles go down when faced with the almost nerdy Dr Zach was fun. Yes I was expecting those thieving Silk Road peeps to show up but it still felt like an interesting story. I think what elevates this series is the authors use of history with its myths and legends and I sometimes feel like I'm in the middle of a lesson in natural history! Never boring or dry but fleshed out with amazing and often preposterous ideas which just help entertain. Now if only we could jump to Darcys book I'd be over the moon as it's clear her love interest is a little more starchy than usual but alas I think the author is holding her story back to keep teasing the readers.
My final thoughts are I liked the two lead characters here, the action and adventure had a good pace and it's an entertaining read with spicy moments but did seem a little formulaic .
A copy of this was provided for me which I have voluntarily read and these comments are my own honest opinion

3.5✨ (Rounded up to 4 for GR)
1.5🌶️

Anna Hackett continues to prove why Treasure Hunter Security is one of if not the best of her series, in my humble opinion, with its latest installment of Unfathomed, Book 4. This one follows agent Morgan Kincaid, a badass raised by a Marine father, whose death by senseless murder she's still grieving from. Morgan's found her job home and found family in THS, but her luck in love produces less of a connection, with Morgan never wanting to move on past the first date. She just doesn't sense they can keep up with her. Enter Dr. Zachariah James, archaeologist and adventurer extraordinaire. It's lust at first sight for both, but when Zach hires THS for security on a top secret job diving a shipwreck for treasure, the time they spend with each other both in and out of the water threaten to unlock feelings that may be better staying buried, like the shipwrecks they explore.

Morgan and Zach had a great connection. I love how after the initial push and pull, once they realized their feelings, they gave in pretty quickly to temptation, instead of fighting their attraction. Although with Morgan's trust issues due to lingering trauma from her dad's murder, the fight for her heart and her trust is a little harder for Zach to earn. They are very similar to each other too, both with extreme protective instincts, and both badass.

I never want this series to end!

I enjoyed this romantic suspense with lots of fast paced exciting action and some sex thrown in. The hero's pursuit of the heroine from the beginning made the relationship more realistic even when they got it on while hiding from the bad guys. Morgan is assigned to protect archaeologist Dr. Zach during an underwater expedition off Madagascar.

Unfathomed is the fourth book in the Treasure Hunter Security series and what a series it is.

Action, suspense, mystery, danger and romance are just some of what to expect when diving into one of Anna's books. The treasure hunters are called upon when protection is needed and ancient artifacts are sort after but they go into alpha mode when trying to protect.

But let's not forget the sexy, alpha men and women who protect and find their someone else even though they are players beforehand.

A great read for some much needed me time.

I’ve always loved treasure hunter books so this series by Anna Hackett has been really enjoyable for me. This particular book has the added bonus of being underwater treasure hunting and shipwrecks which is one of my personal favorites even though I’m not really into diving myself.

I loved Zack and his fun, charming, and easy going personality. He respected Morgan’s strength from the very beginning and never doubted what she could do or put her down for that strength which was wonderful to read. I’ve been curious about Morgan from the beginning, as she’s this really tough woman who passed the SEAL training before joining THS. So it was nice to have her story and get to see a little bit about her past and who she was under the surface.

I like the mythology of the shipwreck and we got a little deeper into the mystery of Silk Road as Darcy worked more with her “favorite” FBI agent. I would have enjoyed a little more uniqueness from the other Treasure Hunter Security books but overall this didn't bother me. Also dying to know more about the mysterious team that showed up at the end.

I loved Morgan and Zach. Morgan is a strong and fierce heroine and Zach wants her just the way she is. This was another fast paced, action packed romance.

As with the previous books in the series, the plot is basically the same. Treasure Hunter Security is hired to protect a team of archaeologists in discovering some ancient artifact(s). Without fail the organization of antiquities thieves (Silk Road), will arrive on the scene to attempt to steal the mythical artifact and kill everyone. Only, just like every other time, they will fail, and in the fall out the couple the book is about will realize they are in love and live happily ever after.

I hate to say it since I really did enjoy the book just like all of the others, but I think I need a little shake up on the usual plot with this series. And I get it. It’s pretty much what the series is meant to be about. The name says it all, Treasure Hunter Security. Hence all of the treasure hunting in beautiful and remote locations around the world. I think I will be getting my wish in the next book! Hale will be going undercover to infiltrate Silk Road from the inside. I’m pretty excited about this.

Zach and Morgan were amazing. I loved that in the previous books Morgan was a little depressed that she couldn’t find a single man that could handle how tough and badass she was. Let alone love her for her. It was awesome to see her get her wish with Zach. All of her rough edges only made him want her more. And, the man has dimples. Can’t say enough about how much I love dimples.

As with most of Anna Hackett’s books it’s more about the story than about jumping right into the sex. You do have to wait a little bit, but it is more than worth the wait. Once it’s sexy time it’s very hot and frequent. Expertly written, this is another in the very long line of fantastic books by my favorite author.

HEA, duel POV, no cheating, no triggers

These books are so much fun! The length is just right for the fast pacing and I really enjoy the nonstop action. There were a couple things I felt were a little predictable, but they were still fun and worked well with the story so I'll forgive them.

I read the blurbs for the rest of the series and they just aren't really interesting me at the moment, but the author has a ton of backlist for me to pick through while I'm in the mood for these quick action adventure stories. She absolutely excels in this genre.

Really enjoyed the Madagascar setting of this one, and Morgan and Zach were a fun pairing. I liked Zach's confidence, though some of his thoughts/actions made me think of the toxic trait of 'I just have to keep wearing her down and she'll eventually love me', which is not my favourite. I liked how strong Morgan is and how she is excellent at her job.

UPDATE:
I remembered enjoying UNFATHOMED, #4 in TREASURE HUNTERS SECURITIES by Anna Hackett awhile ago. For me, this is a perfect “escape” novel so I recently picked up the audio version & eagerly listened. Voice artist Stella Bloom, again, handled the male/female voices deftly, pulling me into the action immediately. I will be listening again in the future, I’m sure.

Sigh-worthy Quote ~
> “There is going to be an “us.” Just warning you.” Zach

MY ORIGINAL POST ~
I loved! this latest (for me) adventure in the Treasure Hunter series especially the first portion with the wreck & cave diving. ❤️ UNFATHOMED/bk #4 in the TREASURE HUNTER SECURITY series reads like an action-filled Indiana Jones novel but with 2 protagonists sharing the action - Morgan Kincaid, with Treasure Hunter Security and the client, Dr Zachary James, an underwater archeologist and historian. I also enjoy Clive Cussler novels and scenes in UNFATHOMED reminded me very much of Cussler’s fabulously action-packed, light-hearted/angst-free Dirk Pitt/Kurt Austin episodes. ❤️❤️❤️

Morgan Kincaid/FMC is Treasure Hunter Security’s only female specialist. She has a Navy Intelligence background, is well trained in a variety of self-defense skills including weapons and knives and was the first woman ever to pass the BUDS SEAL training program. When the navy failed to hire her into the SEAL program, Morgan quit the navy and Declan snatched her up. THS’s client is Dr Zachary James/MMC, a 6 ft, 35 yr old historian, underwater archeologist and wreck diver who researches and dives for lost treasures. He’s a focused yet roguish and charming adventurer - a real-life Indy Jones whose resume lists an impressive number of successfully discovered ancient treasures. Dr James is currently searching for a Siamese wreck - the Soleil d’ Orient which sank off the coast of Madagascar with a cargo of china, silver, gold, diamonds, and jewelry including a mysterious amulet - lost during the late 1600’s. Dr James has hired a team of THS specialists to keep opportunist treasure hunters off his site, once it’s been located, and to protect his staff of archeologists and divers from outside harm. Dr James’ team hasn’t even located the wreck before other self-seeking groups begin gathering. After a near fatal attack, it becomes obvious a group is willing to kill to steal the spoils of the Soleil d’Orient.

I really enjoyed UNFATHOMED with its fabulous underwater wreck and cave diving scenes, and the Madagascan “stone forest” hunt. I recommend UNFATHOMED to anyone* who enjoys Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, Relic Hunter or high-sea escapades (like the classic Sea Hunt episodes) and/or who enjoys reading novels with romance*, HEAs, and fast moving action & adventure. UNFATHOMED can be read as a standalone title as there are no cliffhangers and it has a complete HEA but the secondary characters (various THS team members) overlap in books #1-4 and continually throughout the series. IMO, each story is best enjoyed read in order. I look forward to reading UNTRAVELED/#5 featuring a new adventure with the TREASURE HUNTER SECURITY team soon.

Anna Hackett has authored action-adventure romance novels in a variety of genres - contemporary, paranormal, dystopian, and space opera/alien. Treasure Hunter Security is her contemporary romance series - quickly becoming one of my favorite. But I find them all DELIGHTFUL!

Reader Cautions* -

VIOLENCE - This is an action-adventure novel with Bad Guys - with a variety of kidnappings, hand-to-hand battles, and/or gun fights but not described in a dark, gruesome, or graphic fashion. Think Indiana Jones or Tomb Raider.
SEXUAL SITUATIONS - Yes. The 2 main characters’ growing attraction develops into Quite steamy intimacy into the latter half of the novel.
PROFANITY - Yes. Strong language is used occasionally - former military.

Not recommended for readers who prefer Clean fiction or for YA.

This is the most formulaic series I have ever read. I don't love this series but I do like it more than taking a chance on another unknown book or author. You know what you will get and roughly the order it will come in. The MCs meet. They go on an expedition together, if that wasn't where they met, and within 48 to 120 hours they are declaring their love for one another because they are in mortal danger and are afraid they won't get to say it again. And just as they are about to die, some supernatural force or formerly thought to be extinct animal comes in to save the day. (Yes, this is a spoiler if you haven't read the prior books but if you have it isn't a spoiler; please know this happens through this book, at least.) This book is very similar to book three in that the final place they are searching for, which they accidentally find, is under water. And their finds have all had chance play a role. Although, that probably happens in real life, too, with treasure hunters.

The sex scenes all happen at about the same point in the books. All the books end around the 85% mark, too. (I'm not a fan of this. It's so she can have a chapter or two of the next book at the end. Usually, this wouldn't take up as big of a percentage but these books are so short that it adds a fair bit to the book.)

There isn't much meat to the story at all. The author does just enough research to throw out some names of places and some people in history. It seems each book becomes less detailed.

The first definitely had far more than books 2 and 3. This one had a few more details. If the treasure hunting portion of the book wasn't there, these books would not be bearable. The romance portion is non-existent. The characters are not fleshed out. Not much background on any of them. Just some high level stuff. Yes, my dad died when I was a teen. Oh, my dad left when I was a child. That's about the end of the character building.

One other thing has popped up in the last two books, pun intended. The women tell the men they have great "stamina" because they are physically ready to have sex again after a time shorter than the women expect. That isn't the correct term. The correct term is refractory period. I realize that isn't sexy and no one wants to read that but stamina is out and out wrong. This is the second book where this has been said.

And then there is the issue with the Silk Road (the bad guys). Firstly, in the US, an entity is treated as singular. So, the "Silk Road keeps..." not "keep." Similar errors are scattered throughout the series. She is Australian and this is correct in British English but when you are writing a series completely in another country with that country's readers as your target audience, it is good form to use their grammar rules. But my bigger point is that they always seem to be one step ahead. They know where the group is going before they get there or even start their journey. If that is the case, why do they need our characters? It would make sense for the bad guys to be following the good guys but they are constantly in front of them. It's a continuous plot hole.

Luckily, all of the characters are likeable and I do want to see Darcy and the FBI agent hook up. You know that's coming and I haven't read the blurbs of future books. Hale is next and I wish we knew more about him. We did know a little about Logan and Morgan before their books.

I do want to ask. What are the readers who are leaving this series 5 stars reading that these are their favorite books? I would like to introduce them to some other writers!

One of my favorite things about this series is Declan's supply of pink bandaids.

Time to strap on your diving gear and head to Madagascar, because Treasure Hunter Security is back and it’s female team member Morgan’s turn to battle the perils of love and danger. The strong, determined woman is about to meet her match in sexy marine archeologist, Dr Zach James, as they go looking for sunken treasure in the Indian Ocean.

That’s the one thing I really like about this series – the locations. I love that each book heads somewhere different, and even the more familiar places are tackled in new and refreshing ways. The archeology here is interesting, and even digs a little deeper into the local history, but I particularly enjoyed when the action went inland on the island for a bit, exploring this wild and most unusual habitat.

The one thing I don’t like so much about this series is it’s repetitiveness. If you’ve read any or all of the previous books you will pretty much know the plot already, because this series has found a formula and it’s tenaciously sticking to it. The gender flip of having our heroine be the protective muscle isn’t as big a change as I might have liked either, since Zach is pretty alpha and just as protective as Morgan.

Which is kind of a shame because if this was the first book in the series I’d read, it would probably end up my favourite. However, because it all turned out exactly as expected (and how the other three went) it wasn’t as fun as I’d hoped. Nor as sexy. Mostly because I knew exactly when they’d be getting it on and since it’s at a really stupid moment I couldn’t have cared less.

So overall this is an enjoyable enough read, as long as you don’t mind plot formulas. The setting is fabulous, the characters are likeable enough and the action is pretty good, I would just prefer a surprise or two in how things turn out. The next book looks like it might be heading in a slightly different direction, so I’ll probably try it, but to be honest the only story I’m really interested in is Darcy and her sneaky FBI guy.

Original review: https://myshelfbooks.wordpress.com/20...

I love quick fixes to cheer me up in normal circunstances. So now that we must be isolated at home during who knows how long, a quick reading that pumps all the enjoyment muscles is more than welcome. In that front, Anna Hackett’s Treasure Hunter Security saga always delivers. Many people may think that writing this kind of book is easy and unremarkable, but doing it like Anna does… I call that mastery! Let’s see which crazy treasure we are about to unearth!

This time the main character is Morgan, the fearless woman and ex-solder that now works for Treasure Hunter Security. She doesn’t trust easily and the fact that she tends to scare most men has made her believe that love is kind of a myth. So, who better than a myth hunter to tame her wild heart? Zach is a young archeologist with dashing looks and unrelenting charm that wants to get in Morgan’s good side since the first moment they met. What better to achieve that goal than hiring THS to provide security for his next dive?

No rest for the wicked or, better said, no rest for the reader. Not a single dull moment in this book. In every chapter, somekind of action scene is taking place. It doens’t matter is if a mission to test the security of a museum, a dangerous dive in Madagascar or a chase through ancient temples of forgotten people. Adrenaline runs wild in this book, which makes the story a very easy-to-read one and with a great enjoyment value. Does it follow the same pattern as previous books? Yes, it is pretty similar in several aspects to other books of this saga. Does that make it repetitive and tedious? Not at all. It is what it works and what Anna does best, so no problem there.

As in all my previous reviews of this saga, I must mention the thing that makes these books much more special: those little bits of cultural knowledge about ancient kingdoms. This time, apart from learning a little bit about Madagascar, we are presented with a bunch of facts about Constantine Phaulkon. Yes, the author throws a bit of fiction over his life, but she does it in a way where she gets to teach the reader some real fun facts about the historical character. As I said other times, this saga is a Trivial Pursuit training in disguise!

Nothing noteworthy about the character. Morgan and Zach fill the roles they are giving quite nicely, but they won’t leave a permanent dent in the reader’s memory. I enjoyed quite a lot that Morgan resists Zach’s charm for the most part, which makes the archeologist to up his game. I have to admit that reading him courting the hard as nails ex-soldier has been a great time killer. Even though the initial hesitance, the romance happens quite fast (it is not a long book, so…). But I wouldn’t consider it far-fetched in that field. More unbelievable is Zach’s mighty stamina, which is quite average for the genre, though. Their first round of naughty encounters is extremly weird. They were supposed to be hidden and as silent as possible, so several bursts of monkey sex don’t seem the most stealthy tactic; but how could I know? Maybe they did that to create an awkward situation for the bad guys and get more time for the rescue to appear. No one wants to step in the middle of such display of hormonal need…

So far, this saga hasn’t let me down in any of its stories. I will gladly add the next one to my TBR list. I’m changing my reading tactic this year in order to avoid starting sagas and forgetting about them during years. My goal is starting as few as possible and finish the ones I have already begun by reading at least one of their books every couple of months. We will see if I can keep my word…

As in most of the series Anna Hackett writes, there is the lone badass female character who can hold her own with the best of her male counterparts. In walks, Morgan Kincaid, accomplished (the only woman to pass the SEAL training but was not allowed to join due to her gender), highly trained, and dangerously beautiful (her legs make a person get whiplash)! Morgan enjoys her job but has yet to find a man that can keep up with her. One night while on assignment, Morgan meets the extremely handsome and wicked sexy Dr. Zachariah James (Archeologist and University Professor) and soon finds herself his protector as Zach hunts for a famous shipwreck loaded with treasures and a mysterious medallion with magical powers. What I enjoyed about this story is that Zach is not afraid of Morgan. His rough upbringing has shown Zach that he should go after what he wants, and he WANTS MORGAN!!! Morgan has a different story due to her tragic upbringing (you'll have to read the story to find out). Zach finds Morgan exciting and wants to find out what lies under that tough exterior. Once again, as I have written in most of my reviews, I love action-adventure romances sprinkled with ancient history. Treasure Hunter Security is an "Indiana Jones meets Navy SEALS" romance series and I am here for it!!! The only suggestion I have concerns the cover of THIS book. This is Morgan's story, so should there not be a female displayed on the cover? Morgan is a part of the team; thus, I believe a strong female person should be front and center on the cover. There are several fabulous women who could be used as the model for Morgan. Something to consider.

This is a spellbinding addition to the THS series. Characters are likable and well developed. The storyline is believable, pacing and world building are good. I very much enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one, it can't come out soon enough. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and these comments are my honest opinion.

Treasure Hunter Security has been hired to test security for a priceless emerald on open display at a Denver museum. THS co-founder Declan Ward is well known and is being watched by the museum's security team, but the museum doesn't know about others from THS who are also on site. In fact, archeologist Dr. Zachariah James only sees Morgan Kincaid's legs, not her muscles. But that's why Dec uses her for events. She is not just a stunning diversion, she worked in Naval Intelligence before passing SEAL training. When she was told she wouldn't be assigned to the teams, she left the Navy and Dec hired her. Morgan now has the emerald in her possession, much to the chagrin of Dr. James. He accordingly hires THS for an artifact recovery from a shipwreck and Morgan is assigned to the security team along with several former SEALs. They don't think Silk Road will be a problem on this job, but past experience requires caution. As it turns out, that alertness is well advised. And Morgan and Zach find themselves fighting for their lives and each other as the modern day pirates close in.

I needed something easier to enjoy during the day before committing to the labyrinthine puzzlement and darkness of Harrow the Ninth at night before bed, so I turned to my good friend Anna Hackett (not my actual friend, FYI, but I'm sure she's very nice), bringer of undemanding romantic action and fun.

This was just what the doctor ordered, a fast paced adventure with plenty of romance in between running away from the bad guys (sometimes inappropriately timed, but I'll let it go), and a nice surprise at the end for a nod to her other works.

BUT. Something about the Treasure Hunter Security series doesn't quite resonate with me in the same way I fell head over heels for Eon, Team 52 and even the Galactic Gladiators and Cyborgs. Maybe it's an earlier series and shows the author's development, maybe it's the lack of any major sci-fi elements, but I think my main issue is the alpha macho stuff not reading quite so well these days. There's a wonky power dynamic with Zach and Morgan - she's technically in his employ, he is technically not as strong and skilled a fighter as her, and the initial consent felt dubious, I'm not sure the right balance was ever quite struck. Compared with how beautifully this similar-ish dilemma was handled in Brooks and Callie's book, Zach and Morgan were never quite getting my full throated cheer.

Still, I'm going to keep going with this series because ZOMG I need to read the final book, all the setup crumbs are delicious and I hope the payoff is dynamite.

Cold and calculated Morgan Kincaid never thought she could feel more than a sexual attraction to a male. After a hard upbringing shaping her into a strong, decided and lethal woman, it had been difficult (rather say impossible) to engage in a relationship. But the Treasure Hunter Security new mission had brought her and the client, Zachariah James, closer than she had expected. Her defenses had been low? Dr. Zachariah James had his own baggage and searching for undiscovered treasures made him feel excited and accomplished until he met Morgan Kincaid and a new thought filled his mind. Strong chemistry between this two and the decided Dr. James seemed to gain ground. Adventure, exciting scenes, interesting characters, action, suspense, intrigue, betrayal, hot sex and danger at each pace. Love the legends and the historical information that pique my interest and I had to look for more in the Web. I’m waiting for Darcy and the FBI agent story because with so many clashes between this two it would not be a surprise that they story will be juicy. Love these stories that keep my imagination overworking. .

Action, adventure, romance - this has it all!
Treasure Hunter Security has been hired by Dr. Zachariah James to provide security on his trip to Madagascar to hunt for underwater treasure. I love the camaraderie and sense of humor the diverse THS crew has with each other.
One of them, Morgan, is a self-reliant young woman whose skills are often underestimated. When she meets Dr. James, she feels a spark of attraction.
She's not good with relationships, though, and she puts Zachariah off. His response: "I like adventure, Morgan, and I like a challenge. I've made it my motto to pack as much of it as possible into life." Game on!
I appreciate the amount of research that has been done to bring the history and legends of the area to light. The author's attention to these details lets her weave the story through the legend with exceptional plausibility.
This is quite an amazing adventure with many facets of search and discovery. Danger abounds. Love reigns. And, that legend? Maybe...it's real!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader's copy of this book.

I love all the exciting, action packed adventure in the Treasure Hunter Security series! This fourth book takes us on an underwater adventure off the coast of Madagascar, with Morgan and Zach. Morgan is an ex Navy SEAL who continues her adventures working for Treasure Hunter Security. She is on the team protecting Dr. Zachariah James and his crew on his quest to find a long-lost shipwreck filled with exciting history, and treasure. Zach is falling for the tough, prickly, and soft hearted Morgan. Morgan is drawn to the nerdy, passionate archaeologist but is afraid to risk her heart. When the antiquities thieves, Silk Road, become involved, they are in a race to find the ship before all is lost, including their lives. This was a breathtaking adventure with intriguing legends and history that kept me totally captivated from the very beginning. I loved Zach and Morgan, they were drawn to each others strengths, made a great team, and their chemistry was on fire! It was fun catching up with the rest of the Treasure Hunter Security team as well as learning more about Silk Road.
Stella Bloom's fabulous narration continues to make us feel like we are right there in the middle of all the action! She delivers all the excitement, emotion, wit, and steam, bringing these characters and story to life, beautifully. This was so much fun, I can't wait to listen to the next books in Treasure Hunter Security series!

Treasure Hunter Security is back with Unfathomed and the hunt for sunken treasure is on the horizon. Morgan Kincaid uses her skills of charm and subterfuge as she proves to Dr. Zachariah James that Treasure Hunter Security is the best firm for the job. Flirting with Zach is just a part of the job; distract him whilst she swaps canapés for a large emerald treasure recover on his last expedition. So smoothly done that it takes several minutes for him to realise that it has the emerald is missing. Zach needs the best team for security because the treasure he is diving for on this expedition is legendary with the prize being a jewel believed to be able to control the minds of others. Morgan is sceptical of the myth of the jewel, but she can't deny the excitement of diving for sunken treasure or the attraction of the man in charge of the expedition. Danger lies below the waves as well as on board. Someone wants the jewel for themselves and has no problem killing to get to it.

Somewhere in the universe there is a rule that romance stories must have Alpha Hero's and can have feisty, kick ass heroine's (at least that's what I assume since 98% of romance stories have that in them)... Anna Hackett gleefully blew that rule into smithereens, her h's are notoriously strong and feisty, but every now and again she creates one that is so very much more, like a Harper, or a Saff, or Nissa and of course the absolute best of all Nera Darc.
Which brings me to Morgan, I have an extreme case of hero worship going for Morgan Kincaid, she's what I want to be if I'm ever reincarnated.
It doesn't matter that she's more Alpha than Zach, which is the wonderful gift Ms Hackett has, normally one would think that a strong h would mean an XXL H to match, but no, this is not necessary. Zach is no less magnificent, and every bit the perfect match for Morgan.

A chance to provide security for a team searching for a sunken ship full of treasure has Morgan Kinkaid's juices flowing. She definitely up for the challenge. She's as formidable as any member of the THS team. Dr Zach James is an adventurer at heart but more than that he wants to preserve the antiquities of the past. Losing himself in history and ancient civilizations was a saving grace in his abusive childhood. When he discovers that Morgan pulls one over on him, he's not only intrigued but he's smitten. Diving off Madagascar is no hardship but having someone trying to sabotage the search is untenable and that someone is more than likely Silk Road. Kidnappings, attempted murder, a possible traitor in their midst and deadly creatures as well as white hot romance really make Unfathomed an outstanding read.

One thing I love about books by Anna Hackett is that each book comes into their own.
This is the 4th installment of the Treasure Hunter Security Series, and we are again taken on an new adventure with a different setting. I would say though that Unfathomed is not as fast paced as her usual books, but it had a really good consistent steady rhythm of discovery.

Both main characters were very likable. Morgan is part of the THS Team and we are introduced to a new hero, Zach. They were both written with a sense of realism, and I loved the way their relationship grew. It felt right on point to their characters. Something that Anna Hackett writes so well at.

A very solid 4.5 stars.
Look forward to re-reading this book, and all the future books in the Treasure Hunter Security Series.

Great action and romance

This story has action, adventure, and romance... treasure hunting at its best! Zach is a fascinating character and so was Morgan is a great security expert. We get to revisit some familiar faces from previous stories, but thee bulk of the story is Zach and Morgan. From the way they meet to the ending, you find yourself rooting for these two. They both have issues to overcome, but watching them grow close, while dealing with all sorts of things is as great time. The action is intense at times and we already know the start of the next story. Thankfully, it won't be much longer. Read books 1 through 3 before you read this for the best experience. Enjoy!

Deadly Morgan meets Zach!

I loved the opening of this book! How to pull off a jewel heist in the middle of a party with security looking on! Sounds unlikely but this is exactly what THS does at the request of Dr Zachariah James.
Zach then hires them as security on an archaeological expedition to Madagascar to find a long lost shipwreck. Once again they run you of the black market antiquities thieves, Silk Road. This becomes a far more complex mission than anyone had expected. The Silk Road teams, as usual, are well prepared and not frightened to use lethal force.
Morgan and Zach find themselves in a grim situation that they may not survive.
Great romance and adventure with a twist.

SO. FREAKING. AMAZING!! This series just keeps getting better and better! I love that with every new book i still see snippets throughout the story from previous main characters which is so different from the other series I've read. This series by far is my favorite!!
Morgan and Zach is perfect for each other! Badass female bodyguard? HELL. YES. I've always enjoyed reading books with kickass female leads. Zach was so passionate about his work that you could feel it through the words. I enjoyed how the author keeps you addicted to each and every page. My favorite part is when they say 'I love you', that gets me every single time, the chemistry, the love, how they look at each other like they are their world? HOT. DAMN.

Loved it. I think this may be my favorite yet of this series.
It just goes to show what a difference a few more pages can make.
Loved Morgan and Zach. They fit well together while still staying true to themselves.
Also, like that we saw more of the full team, not just a sole adventure.
The underwater adventure was so cool. It seems that the series is starting to venture a bit more into SciFi from the previous (more or less) straight up adventure stories.
So much fun to catch a first glimpse of Team 52.
What's with all the waterside hookups? Book 1 - oasis, Book 2 - waterfall, Book 3 - mountain lake, Book 4 - (cave) pool
