Must Read

No matter how much History, Good Memories, Loyalty and Love you have for someone. Once that other person break that bond with betrayal and lies. Some relationships can't weather through that type of storm. Amil chose to go back to Kwame after she found out Zeke had an estrange wife April. Zeke withholding that information hurt her and had Amil trying to patch things up with Kwame. In her mind Amil figured her and Kwame have years and history together. Although Kwame cheated on her with Loreal. Amil decided to stay. She felt when Kwame got drafted. He owed her the life he promised. Thing is Loreal hadn't went anywhere. She was still around lurking. Loreal knew she was Kwame weakness. With her vindictive and manipulative ways. She was determined to be in his life. Loreal didn't care that Kwame was back with Amil. As long as she had a piece of him. She was fine with it. Constantly lying and still cheating with Loreal. Kwame thought he was slick not knowing that Amil wasn't a fool by far and she had a feeling nothing about him have changed. Hell Zeke still had her heart. Amil was truly unhappy with Kwame but was trying to make the best of their situation. All the begging, crying and pleading he did to get her back. Kwame games was bound to catch up to him. Kwame had no clue how unhinge Loreal was until her grandmother passed away and he found proof. Zeke really was a good guy with a good heart. You could tell he loved the hell out of Amil. He know he messed up first by not telling her about the paternity issues with Charmaine and by not telling her he was legally married. Something he should have mentioned from the beginning. Especially since he wasn't involved with the two women but omitting it still considered lying. When Jadore went to Zeke about her suspicions with King and April. She should've realize that she needed to tell Amil about her run-ins with April. April was messy asf and bold. I knew she was going to tell Amil that Jadore knew about her. I side eyed Jadore because I know damn well she don't sleep that hard to where she didn't know April crept in the room and sucked King off while she was laying in bed sleeping. King is scandalous. Zeke is his best friend but yet he was screwing April behind his back for years. He was also dumb as hell for pillow talking with April because April didn't get out of prison for time served. She made a deal to set up Zeke. What April didn't know was that Jadore felt something was off with her. Jadore found out what April was doing. Amil being confronted with the truth by Loreal revealing she was still in the picture and dealing with Kwame had Amil running back to Zeke. Loreal crazy side showed up. Garrett impromptu visit to Loreal caused a domino effect of tragedies. His wife Samantha caught them in a uncompromising position. Which lead to Samantha telling Kwame. Kwame lost his damn mind and career when he realized he lost Amil for good because of Loreal. It was a whole damn mess. In the end. Kwame lies, lust, and betrayal dealing with Loreal was the cause of his downfall. Loreal may have some mental issues but it didn't cloud her judgment to the point she didn't understand right from wrong. What she did to Garrett wife was cruel, heartless, and disturbing. That is a guilt Garrett would have to live with. Had Miranda spoke to her son Kwame about his actions from the beginning and saw through Loreal manipulation. She probably could've saved him from going down a dark road.

Whew

This book had me all over the place esp with Loreal and Kwame. That damn April wasn't worth a damn at all esp after all she had done. The quote about “Grass not being greener on the other side,” definitely reigns true throughout this series. Loreal was so hard up for Kwame that she didn’t realized it was tearing her apart piece by intricate piece until there was lil to nothing left. She wound up being the very person she didn't want to be and now she has to live with the consequences of her actions. April and King were definitely doing the most esp by betraying Zeke when all he was, was a good husband and friend to them. Just the mere fact that she was willing to throw under the bus to save herself was enough for me to dislike her. Zeke definitely deserved better ppl around him that's for sure. Amil gave Kwame chance after chance to change but being blinded by lust can have long last effects that one can't bounce back from so easily. I felt so bad for Samantha bc she was innocent & all she did was stay loyal to a man who was cheating and got sucked into a web by a master manipulator. I'm glad Amil decided to stick it out with Zeke and he gave her what Kwame wouldn't but gave to the next person. This was a great finale and even better series. You really outdid yourself and I loved it all from start to finish

Whew chillayyyy! These characters were something else! Amil was working every nerve I got honestly. There's not that much naivety I'm the world. By time she decided to put her foot down, both Kwame and Loreal had already spiraled out of control! I don't care what no one says, Garrett facilitated Loreal's sick fantasies. Howwww do you voluntarily sleep with a child you helped raised?! I get why Jadore didn't say anything to Amil about April but it still doesn't take away from the fact that her and Amil were bonded for life. For that, she should have told and Amil deal with it how she sees fit! April on the other hand was a coward and a snitch! Sis done set her childhood friends up, one being her own husband, then disappeared into thin air after reading Zeke really didn't want her! Zeke better than me because idc friend or not, you snake me, you can best believe cords would be broken! Thankful for Jadore investigative ways, some things were able to come to light. This was Zeke's and Amil's saving grace. I was happy to see Jadore stand on business with leaving King because like my Grammy used to say, "if it seems too good to be true, 90% of the time that's because it is!" Awesome series

What a read!

These characters put me through it this go round. Kwame just couldn’t leave Loreal alone. No matter how he and Amil tried to reconcile their relationship, he just couldn’t let go of what he had with Loreal.

Even when he made it to the MLB he had to hold on to her and that ultimately would be his downfall.

Zeke, my goodness that man just needed to learn how to be 100% transparent to Amil. Every other day he had something new popping up and somehow skated around the truth with Amil. Zeke was a good guy and all but the man needed to man up and admit to his past and his wrongs.

Amil was playing the fence going back and fourth with Kwame and Zeke. I was so glad when she finally picked the right one to grow with and get everything she deserved.

Jadore was my favorite. She didn’t play about king but in the long run she made sure she wasn’t about to get played. I loved her character and her personality.

Loreal was just a hot mess. Dealing with her mental instability and her deceptive ways, she ended up getting herself into a world of terrible that there was no coming back from.

I really enjoyed this book. The plot, the characters and the message. Excellent read! 10/10 stars!

Phenomenal

This series was everything and then some. Ms Wright you did a phenomenal job with this book and it's characters. I know it takes a lot to pen these stories and get into the roll of the characters to make for a phenomenal read. I loved Zeke Amil worked my nerves. Kwame you are the weakest link. Loreal was something different. Jadore did right by leaving King the things he let April do showed how weak he was speaking of April that snake got off to easy. I'm not going to spoil it for other readers but I I'm going to tell you it's a must read. Thank you LaToya Wright for sharing with us readers with your 🔥🔥🔥🔥 pen game keep up the great work you have a always forever fan in me

🔥🔥

What a good book series. Such a good page turner. It tackles lies, hate, friendships, deception, feistiness, betrayal and the great accomplishments. April was playing a dangerous game, I just wish she would've got her karma. Loreal was definitely nutty, and needed serious help. Kwame took Amil for granted and couldn't stand seeing her move on to a better man than him. Zeke thuggish with a heart. King didn't dthuggish with a heart.eserved the good woman that Jadore was, and I'm glad she ended up finding someone better than him. He just got his karma for betraying Zeke. He also got burned by April. Zeke & Amil balanced each other out in so many ways & they prove that love knows no time. This was a great continuation of the story.

Amazing Series‼️‼️

Yess that's part definitely ended the right way...I really felt bad for Kwame a little but he chose to continue to want his cake and eat it too🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️..Loreal she needs to be right where she's at and it said a poor little girl have jacked up parents..Im so happy that Amila wake up and seen where her heart truly lies...King and April were so wrong they didn't have to do Zeke and Jadore like they did..Zeke got the love he long for and Jadore found someone to love her and her only🥰🥰..I really enjoyed this series definitely had alot of jaw dropping moments and full of twist and turn 🤣🤣...As always another good one‼️‼️‼️🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Definitely wouldn't mind hearing from them again!!!

Be Careful of the choices you make

I don't feel bad for Kwame at all. Amil gave him another chance and what did he do? Same shyt he was doing. How you gonna buy yo side chick a house before your woman. He can't blame Loreal when he chose to lie and Cheat. Loreal deserves to be where she at. She was just doing to much. I hate Samantha was a casualty in her world of destruction. I hate April got away, she should have been tossed back in jail. I'm glad Jadore found her someone just for her cause King wasn't it. I'm so happy that Zeke and Amil got their happily ever after. He wasn't coming up off her no way. This was a great Finale!!💝💝

🔥🔥🔥 GREAT REAd

Loved it. Kwame just couldn’t get it together he ruined his relationship and career over someone who had demons she was still fighting from her past. L’Oréal Was crazy instead of getting help she pretty much just want to ruin her stepfather‘s relationship and Kwame even though they’re not the victim. Amil couldn’t catch a break Zeke should told her he was married. April and King was wrong for what they were doing behind Zeke and Jadore back. I’m happy at the end she got her happy ending and Amil to they both deserved happiness.

This was too good

April was just as crazy as loreal I can't with them two women loreal needed mental evaluation from the beginning she must've thought nobody would catch her with Garrett and then she didn't even denie it that was the crazy part I wish Samantha didn't say them things to her face she or turned around so fast she should've start running or something and Kwame really thought he was slick see that karma was catching up to him now he lost everything he wanted and needed so sad

Great ending

Loreal been unstable since she was a little girl, none she’s a crazy adult. Kwame should have known better, but being young and a male all common sense left. Amil was hurt so much, just glad that she was still open to love. Zeke lied by omission but he learned from that mistake quick! April was sneaky, manipulative and a snitch! Everyone got exactly what they deserved in the end.

Whew must read!!!

Like the old saying goes, the grass aint green on the other side. I knew Loreal was pretty much unhinged, but to go the lengths that she did, she definitely deserved what she got. I was rooting for Amil and Zeke, although i thought she was gone turn informant wheww. Kwame will forever thjnk about the girl that got away. When I say LaToya didn't miss she definitely did that!! This book ended exactly like it should have..wish i could give it 10 stars

And The Moral Of The Story Is...

Kwame had everything in life to look forward to: his dream career playing professional baseball, his faithful girlfriend who had been with him since his freshman year of high school. Life was a bright golden path shining brightly. And then Kwame met that Jezebel named Loreal. The grass isn't always greener, and you can never have your cake and eat it too!

Crazy in Love

Author LaToya did an awesome job writing this sequel. It was everything I didn't expect. I couldn't guess what would happen next and that is so important to me and what makes a book a quality read. Loreal and Kwame did the absolute most. I'm glad Amil got her happy ending. April definitely was something and I'm glad she fled the scene . Jail was definitely a setting in this read . I highly recommend this series.

Well dang I didn't see that ending coming for Kwame. That goes to show you everything that glitters ain't gold and the grass isn't greener on the other side. I honestly didn't care if Amil ended up with Jeke or not. Him not being transparent about his situations annoyed me. Loreal got what she deserved even though she needed help really bad. That girl had some demons. I'm so happy King got kicked to the curb by Jacea. That was trifling of him. I'm mad that it seems April got away though🤔

Wow!! This was one book I couldn't put down. It took one night at a party for Kwame's life to be turned upside down. Zeke stood on business when it came to Amil. I'm so glad things turned out for them and Jadore was too good for King and I'm happy she found some happiness as well. Good series...

Wow

This book was a lesson that you really can’t have your cake and eat it too! Kwame really tried it with this double life he was living! I was happy Amil found out when she cud and moved on! It was almost too late but I was happy see both her and Zeke happy! Despite Jadore holding back on a big secret I really felt like she did it with good intentions and to see Amil happy! She was definitely a great friend and I was truly happy to see her get her happy ending! Although Samantha had to go I was happy to see Loreal finally get what she deserves. She was one of the ones who didn’t care about anyone but herself! As for King and April I really didn’t care for them but I was happy to see April did something with others futures involved and King got exactly what he deserved! Definitely a great read and I’m looking forward to more!

Unexpected ending

Nothing prepared me for these two books. The constant not knowing what was going to happen next was intriguing. I never thought it would end with room for a continuation.

This was a good read! I was hurt like it was me that’s how bold Kwame was moving. He blamed Lorel but soo many times he was pursuing her no one was to blame but him she did what he allowed. Amil did just right moving on!

Finale

A real cautionary tell for the Kwames of the world. L’Oréal got a hold on him that he couldn’t break no matter how much love he had for Amil!
