Everything feels off—especially me. I’ve returned to Katmere Academy, but I’m haunted by fragments of days I have no recollection of living and struggling to understand who, or what, I really am.
Just when I start to feel safe again, Hudson is back with a vengeance. He insists there are secrets I don’t know about, threatening to drive a wedge between Jaxon and me forever. But far worse enemies are at our doorstep.
The Circle is caught in a power play and the Vampire Court is trying to drag me out of my world and into theirs. The only thing Hudson and Jaxon agree on is that leaving Katmere would mean my certain death.
And not only am I fighting for my life, but now everyone else’s is at stake—unless we can defeat an unspeakable evil. All I know is that saving the people I love is going to require sacrifice.
Maybe more than I’m able to give.

So, this one is still just as cheesy with some cringe parts, but I still ate it up. Listen, I was a Twilight girl, a little bit of cringe can't run me off.
And I am a Hudson stan so far I think, idk. There are so many parts of his story that seem off, I think he is innocent and I love his developing friendship with Grace. Jaxon constantly just going off about his brother but not actually offering much insight is becoming intolerable. On to part 2.
Alles voelt vreemd.
So I have to say, book 1 I found to be really cheesy. - but so far book 2 is actually pretty good! I just finished part one. Waiting to get me hands on part two :)
So I did the graphic Audio for my re-read. And while Hudson sounds like a 40 year old man who is mad bunnies are eating his garden 🙄 I still love this book. And this time around I’m gagging along with Hudson at all the Jaxon scenes 😆. One minor detail tho…. When Grace gets tacos that are supposed to be just like her favorite street tacos from San Diego, you hear a “crunch”. Obviously no one in the editting room has had street tacos 🤦🏼♀️
I’m absolutely loving this book so far! But Hudson? Jackson? The drama?! I’m kind of starting to like Hudson 👀 but also can’t help but feel sorry for Jackson. 5/5⭐️ read 100%.
This book follows what happened after the first book and omg. I was kinda disappointed but also kinda happy about where the book went. I like it but also, poor Jackson! Are we having a Tamlin moment? I guess we’ll find out! Grace is back and now has to figure her whole Gargoyle thing out while Hudson lives in her head. And another problem starts creeping up, Hudson not being so bad at all times to have in her head.
This book so far doesn’t follow Jackson that much which makes me wonder if we’re changing MC? No clue! But my suspicion is pointing towards either her having a changing of mate or two. 👀 guess we’ll have to wait and see!
Crush is the second book in the Crave series and it picks up months after the ending of Crave, the first book in the series. I just loved getting to reenter this world and see what is currently going on. I am just absolutely loving this world. The characters are just so great and I just love that we got to meet some new ones and that a family was formed. There is just so much going on in this story and the ending. Oh my goodness. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
4.3⭐️ better than the first. It has a same vibe of ACOTAR where I think Jaxon is the Tamlin of the story and fuck I hope that is right because I don’t like him lol he is too much of a dump right now and I’m not vibing with it. Meanwhile Hudson is an annoying, arrogant asshole that doesn’t coddle her…. Ugh 😑 love that though. Hahaha 😂 so we will see how the second act goes.

I enjoyed this more than the first book. Don't really like the male voice narrating as Jackson. Makes him sound really old. Otherwise, I love everything else.
📖 Summary: Grace wakes up… and everything has changed. She’s back at Katmere Academy after a missing two months, only to discover she’s no longer entirely human—and she has no memory of what happened to her. Jaxon is distant. The school is on edge. And then Hudson—Jaxon’s equally powerful, possibly psychotic brother—returns from the grave with a connection to Grace that neither of them can explain.
This first half of Crush unpacks the fallout of Crave’s twist ending while amping up the drama: love triangles, blood bonds, and magical politics that start to boil over. It’s darker, sharper, and just as chaotic as ever.
💖 Character Reactions: Grace is understandably wrecked but still sarcastic and defiant—she’s not just rolling with the punches anymore, she’s throwing a few. Jaxon’s walls go way up, and honestly, the miscommunication gets frustrating—but Hudson? Hudson is the dark star of this book. Cold, clever, and constantly throwing Grace off her emotional axis, he steals every scene he’s in.
🔥 Smut Level: 🌶️🌶️ – Still YA-sweet with a side of heat. Some heated moments, jealous tension, and supernatural closeness that sets the pulse racing without fully crossing the line. #SmutTags: #BroodyVsBrutal #AmnesiaAndAttraction #DarkPrinceEnergy #MateBondMayhem #TensionTensionTension
