A Novella Prequel to Damian

Meet Damian Castillo. The man, the legend, the heartbreaker.

The only thing that matters in his world is his "little black book": his large black shoebox filled with hundreds of phone numbers from the nameless women in his life. He knows what he wants: mind-blowing, no-strings-attached sex. And as the hottest bartender in San Francisco, he never has a problem getting exactly what he wants when he wants it.

But sleeping with every hot woman that throws herself at him can sometimes lead to unexpected problems, and Damian discovers this when he finds himself caught in the middle of his two recent conquests. Will his manwhore ways get him into more trouble than he can handle, or will this heartbreaker manage to get out unscathed?

The Heartbreaker is the prequel novella to DAMIAN (book #1) and TAMING DAMIAN (book #2). These three books make up the entire The Heartbreaker series, which are all currently available.

Jessica Wood writes contemporary romance.

While she has lived in countless cities throughout the U.S., her heart belongs to San Francisco. To her, there’s something seductively romantic about the Golden Gate Bridge, the steep rolling hills of the city streets, the cable cars, and the Victorian-style architecture.

She loves a strong, masculine man with a witty personality. While she is headstrong and extremely independent, she can’t resist a man who takes control of the relationship, both outside and inside of the bedroom.

She loves to travel internationally, and tries to plan a yearly trip abroad. She also loves to cook and bake, and—to the benefit of her friends—she loves to share. She also enjoys ceramics and being creative with her hands. She has a weakness for good (maybe bad) TV shows; she’s up-to-date on over 25 current shows, and no, that wasn’t a joke.

And it goes without saying, she loves books—they’re like old and dear friends who have always been there to make her laugh and make her cry.

The one thing she wished she had more of is time.

*Snort* My poor Damian!!!!! I love him!!! Such a man ho! But we got to see a glimpse of him that I think is safe to say we all knew deep down. He's an arrogant ass right down to the bone but oh how we love him!!!! I'm going to love watch him fall. He may still be cocky and arrogant but it won't be the same!!!!! We all know she will bring him to his knees!

I love his 'black box' his 7.5 on a hot scale to 10. Amazing to know that he apparently doesn't have one below that number!!!! Then there his issue for the way he is and its because of his mother. I was pretty stunned from his reaction to her and how he turned out to be and why. Thank you Jessica I can't wait to read TAMING DAMIAN!!!!! He needs it badly in more ways than one! I see people saying it was too short but I didn't think so I love little novella's like this!!!! If you loved Damian part one then you will definitely love this side of him!!!!! Its a shocker to say the least he's straight and brutally honest! I can truly say that if he ever said anything like that to me up front I would walk away lol cause I would be to embarrassed or not strong enough to keep my emotions in check but well, hell so did the other women he was just that damn good!!!!! I'm still snickering at some of the parts geez!!!!

This was just random women he had “fuck sessions” with. God, just creepy AF. I could never get with a guy that called it that. *gags*

And apparently his rando chicks use it too!!!

What is this?!?!?

70’s PORN???

Quote (H/OW1 encounter #3…major spoiler at end):
“Not exactly,” she began. She swung her arms around my neck and pulled me down to kiss her. When I pulled away, she continued, “but you owe me a fuck session, remember? So I’m cashing that in tonight.” She gave me a seductive smile as she purposely rubbed her breasts against my chest.

“Sure, I’m free tonight. And a fuck session is the perfect way to close out the weekend. Give me a few minutes to finish a few things here and meet me upstairs, okay?”

“Of course.” I saw the excitement in her eyes and I wondered if she forgot that I wasn’t interested in a relationship.

Twenty minutes later, I had Jill completely naked on my bed as I grinded my naked body against hers without entering her. I had owed her a fuck session, and I was going to make this a memorable one for her. I wanted her to scream out my name until she lost her voice. So before I was going to fuck her hard, I wanted to tease her with my cock until I was ready to drive it inside her—until she was begging me to put her out of her misery.

***(((O.o)))***
Mind. Blown.

YES, I red the whole series.

*hangs-head-in-shame*

SPOILER:
OW1 is 20. Written as a total bimbo. She’s encounter #1. Encounter #2 with OW2 is a cougar from a dating service where drinks and appetizers are served in pitch dark to get to know your date through different senses and fewer inhibitions. H/OW are thrown out having sex. They go to her house for many “fuck sessions” and pass out. Hubby comes home in the morning interrupting their sex and is oblivious. H realizes OW2 is married. He’s pissed and makes her suck his cock while hubby makes coffee. That night OW1 comes around (above quote). And during their “fuck session” OW2 stops by. He invites her for a threesome with OW1. They head to his bedroom only to discover the women are Mother and Daughter. I guess it stopped being porn their cuz everyone freaks out and he tells OW1 her mama is a whore. They both leave the H hangin’ LOL. Encounter #4 with OW1…they meet the h carrying her luggage to her apartment. He’s immediately attracted/smitten and helps her with her luggage. Don’t worry, in the next book he still goes on to fuck OW1 in detail for 2 hours after meeting h on the stairs ;)

Good lord this novella was hot. We get this from Damian's point of view. We get to see how he operates, the smooth operator that he is and what happens when he met Alexis. Whew. hot stuff. Good lord. So this novella sets the pace and the mindset for book one, Damian.

The heartbreaker

Damian mother cheated on his father, and Damian found out at the age of nineteen that his father wasn't truly his father. His mother didn't know who his real father was. That's why Damian can't be in a relationship. So he loves the ladies with no strings attached. Great read couldn't put down till I was finished.

In this prequel we meet Damien Castillo. Not sure how you are going to feel about Damien after you meet him in this book. He is a man-whore. He does not do relationships. He does not date. However, he is honest. He tells the girl upfront that he only wants to have a good time with her and that is strictly to have sex with no strings.

I wasn’t sure if I should read this prequel before I read Damien. When I started The Heartbreaker I was not liking Damien at all, but I stuck through it and glad I did. There is a reason why Damien does not do relationships or love.
Okay so I have a confession, I love these stories. I love stories of man-whores who just need to meet the right girl and fall in love with her. However, these stories have to have the right girl. Meaning I hate when authors have the girl be a party girl. She does not have to a virgin, but she can’t be a whore herself. So I am hoping that the heroine in Damien is the “right” girl. Sweet, nice, feisty, but not b****y.

Overall I liked the prequel. Some of the verbiage felt awkward, but the story and characters kept my attention. I really loved the last 3% of this book.

The mystery that is Damian. Whatever happened to him to make him be this way with women?

This prequel gives us a glimpse into Damian's attitude toward women. There is a little shocker in there too. Damian will sleep with just about any woman, of any age, as long as she rates a 7 or higher on his f*ck-o-meter.

His famous "little black box" contains the remains of so many encounters. Let's face it, a little black book was not big enough to hold all his mementos.

I find this story about Damian intriguing. His last name should not be Castillo, but rather Casanova. He is so turned off toward feeling anything for any woman except the temporary emotion of sex. What is also intriguing is that he is so unaware of how lonely he is and how devoid of happiness his life is.

I am looking forward to reading Taiming Damian next month when it is released.

If you like fast reads with a tiny turn-around this heartbreaker is for you. 15 minutes non-stop (meaning no food, water, bathroom in between) will prove to be entertaining.

The Heartbreaker gives you a bigger view on Damian’s lifestyle… and the why’s surrounding him from an early age. And incredibly, his standards when it comes to married women getting “attached” to his person. You might find surreal the situation he is on, but by chapter six, the last one, you will bump into a character from Damian book. Yes, big spoiler here.

It's no wonder Damian doesn't want any kind of a relationship with a woman, his mother really screwed him up, not only by taking the only man(father) that he knew, but also walking out on him. I wouldn't want to get my heart broken again either!
Things seem to look up for him when he meets Alexis, but he tries to keep his heart protected by keeping her at a distance, doesn't seem to work out though. Alexis is also weary about love, she lost her parents at a young age, and the one boyfriend she had did not work out, so who would want their heart to get broken again, person can only take so much. Jessica, I think you have done it again, you keep me on the edge of my seat, and I'm so ready for the conclusion of Alexis and Damian.

I loved this short story couldn't put it down. At the age of nineteen Damian and his father found out about a lie that his mother had told them. Hating his mother so much Damian vowed to never love again so he won't get hurt again. Time past and now owner of a bar called Damian's and a ladies man, Damian and his best friend Brian go out for one night stands because they both don't do commitment. When Jill a one night stand comes by for a quicky she and Damian head up to his place, but when they head for the stairs they see a brunette strugaling with her luggage. When Damain sees her he gets a feeling that he wants her and not for a one night stand.

What a dirty lil playboy! Damian and his big black box...

Good start so far. Damian and his insatiable appetite. His mother would be proud. Shame. I wanted to wrap him in my arms when his mom hurt him with her words and confession. It was a good scene to show us an inside on why he is the way he is towards women.
Alexis sounds fun. She sounds like a strong but somewhat vulnerable girl. Loved her feisty comeback at skank troll, Jill. I mean, go get some self respect. Ya nasty!
I'm starting book 1 now.

I'll admit I came into this with not very high expectations. After all, this isn't usually the kind of thing I go for. That being, the 'right' woman changing the man who sleeps with anything with a skirt on. I'm a realist, and that simply does not happen. Anyways, at first I found the story a 'Meh' but when he met this new girl Alexis, now Alexis I like. I like her a lot. She doesn't take much crap from anybody. So it seems. But I haven't read anything else that's due to come. I actually just read the prequel here, so I have yet to see what will come next. Looking forward it though :)

I am in LOVE with Damian! As we all know, Damian is your typical bad boy manwh*re. In the first book he prides himself on the face that he can "do" women and leave them. He has a big black book that fills his every want and need. But then he meets Alexis and the story ends in a cliff hanger!

The author then releases The Heartbreaker, which is a prequel novella that gives us insight into why Damian is the way he is! This is definitely a great read leading up to the release of Taming Damian.

Oh Damian, my love..... Lol

Finally a prequel to Damian... Even tho a short n fast but good read.... It was good to find out more in details about his man whoring life before Alexis. And even more detailed of the blonde he had a quickie w when he first encounter the girl of his dream.

For some reason it doesn't make me dislike him but the opposite. He's like hot sex on a stick. :)

Loved it :)

Usually I don't read prequels or ".5" novellas because they seem to be the same story I just finished, just told from a different POV. "Heartbreaker" is different because it fills in some of the back story of Damian so you get a better idea of what he's like. It also explains some of his family issues. The novella ends right when he meets Alexis so you're in his head when they meet and know how it affects him. It was a great teaser until the 2nd Damian is FINALLY released!!

After finishing Damian i went straight on to read this. I wanted to know more.

I am one of those people who love novella's. Prequels or otherwise. I want to know more, much more.

So we get to know more about Damian and why he is the way he is. Okay, okay yes i felt for him a little, no more than a little.

He had been hurt and felt the need to protect himself and his heart. Which was perfectly understandable.

I can not wait to read Taming Damian.

The Heartbreaker introduces us to the main character of The Heartbreaker series, Damian Castillo. He is a man-whore at heart and just doesn't do relationships. Why would he, when the ladies are willing to drop their panties everywhere he goes. However this can also lead to trouble.

Totally in love with Damian and will be reading the rest of the series. I need to know what happens to this man-whore and his new mystery girl.

4 1/2 Stars

I really wanted to give this book 5 stars and the ONLY reason I didn't was because of the spelling and use of grammar mistakes. With that being said, I loved getting an idea of what Damian was like pre Alexis and finding out a little about his family and why he sees life the way he does. I can't wait for Taming Damian!

Damian is a man whore to say the least. I might feel bad for him when he finally meets the "one" and she discovers his black box. I think he just met her at the end of this book.
Some very hot and juicy sex scenes. A few dramatic moments. This novella will keep you engaged at every turn. Ending will leave you wanting more which you can have with "Damian."

It was free so I said what the heck. Omg it got me hooked. I bought Damian right after haha. It sounds just like my kind of read. Can't wait to read more about Damian. And what happens between him and Alexis. The first book itself has so much sex and drama and it wasn't even that long. Yet it still got me hooked.

Prequel. We get introduced to sexy hot Damien, he has women issues all due to his mom. He meets women all the time. Commitment he wants no part of. So he is basically your hot man whore. Then he meets Alexis by accident and he things she is a 10. He rates all of his women. So let's see in the next book how their story unfolds. R
