Not the best book to read if you want to know about the drugs of abuse, it's very old and outdated, in several points I had to check the NIDA website and each time I did I would find some mistakes in the book.
I don't want to be so harsh, it can give you a good general idea about drugs of abuse (but not a very accurate one), the language is nice and simple, the figures and tables are very helpful and I very much liked the quotes at the beginning of each chapter.
This is just another reminder for me NOT to read an old medical book, science changes so fast and it's always best to read the most updated books.

This gave a good insight into different drug interactions and the symptoms associated with drug abuse. Obviously this book is relatively old so some information is out of date, but I still feel the information was useful.

No, don't ask me why I read this one. But it was informative and clear.
