a great book on women's oppression under capitalism and the women's movements throughout the decades. the chapters on the 60s/70s and the decline in the movement afterwards was particularly useful both for understanding the impact feminist ideas had on the different left groups and to the development of more individualistic conceptions of fighting oppression which now dominates today

excellent and useful book on women’s oppression, the family, marxism vs feminism and the women’s liberation movement. my fav parts were the chapters of the family and the chapters detailing to the shift away from class struggle and into more autonomous organising
