When the author dedicated this novel to Jeffrey Archer, I should have anticipated 'a twist in the tale'. Though I would have rated this book 5 stars irrespective of that twist.
Told in first person, this story is about a middle-aged person's extramarital affair and his involvement in a crime associated with it. The story moves along on expected lines for most of the time, but it is the sheer smoothness of the narration that keeps you hooked till the end.
Definitely recommended to every marathi reader. If you only remember Amar Vishwas, Dara Buland and Duniyadari when you think of Suhas Shirvalkar, you must give this one a try. You can then see how versatile his writings can be. After reading some detective novels during school/college days, now I am re-discovering his books and looking forward to dig deeper into the treasures of 'Suhas Shirvalkar'.
It’s Marathi adaptation of Jeffrey Archer’s short story “The Perfect Murder” from book “A Twist in the tale”. Author already gave credit to Jeffrey Archer at the start of the book. He successfully re-created same magic as original in this book. Hats off to Suhas Shirwalkar. Very good suspense.
Nice short story about how a man saves himself from the judicial system after committing a crime. Wasn't bored at any point & author didn't drag the story anywhere also.
