All three books of The Strike Trilogy, in one collected edition.
Tobin Lloyd's life is perfect: he's a senior at Bridgton High, he's one of the funniest kids in school, and his only worry is whether or not his latest prank is going to result in yet another detention.
But when he wakes up in the world of Capricious, a place where superheroes are real and attacks by super-villains are just another hassle of living in the city, all of that changes. Suddenly, Tobin's last year of high school is not going as he expected.
Far from home and pretty sure he's gone insane, Tobin must join a strange group of companions (including a beer-drinking dog and a genius, three-foot-tall robot) as he begins his harrowing quest to get back home to the world of Earth.
However, there is a disaster looming on the horizon: the most powerful super-villains of Capricious see the weak, chaotic planet of Earth as a grand opportunity, and they have a plan for conquest. Together, they are searching for a mysterious creature known as the Daybreaker--a super-villain so powerful that no one on Earth--or Capricious--will be able to stop it.
Who is this Daybreaker? Where did he come from? And what is his connection to Tobin's new friends?
The answers to these questions will lead Tobin down a road he may never recover from, newfound superpowers or not.
Full of action, humor, and superhero adventure, THE STRIKE TRILOGY is the collected edition of STRIKE: THE HERO FROM THE SKY, STRIKE: DAWN OF THE DAYBREAKER, and the epic third book of the series, STRIKE: THE RETURNING SUNRISE.
Good y/a book. I'd give it a 3.5 or 3.75 if I could. I normally don't mind y/a books even though I'm long past that age myself. But I found Tobin, the main character and hero, to be an idiot. I wanted to like him but just couldn't do it. I had some issues with the other characters too. Despite all my discontent with the characters, I did manage to read the trilogy without giving up in frustration. So what does that tell you? Either the book was a good enough read or I'm an eternal optimist waiting for things to improve.
1 is permafree, the rest seem to be kindle unlimited. 3 pack seems to have been free, can't tell if it is still or not.

Tobin thinks that he is nothing special and that his ‘difference’ is a liability. However, his kindness and willingness to befriend others pushes him into a leadership position and saves his world. The finale is a bit light on action, but overall this is a good story and one that an be contacted.
I know that this is really a series for teenagers but, as a proud over fifty with five children, I can sincerely say that I had lots of fun reading the stories. There is loads of adventure with a decent supply of aliens and strange characters toting strange weapons combined with the near destruction of our favorite planet. Have fun reading this.
