OMFG the movie arc is gonna be so cool i'm so ready to see what the characters are planning and how everything will pan out
one thing i'll never understand is why does everyone seem to be hung up so much on the romance?? the first thing i've ever seen about this animanga was people fighting amongst themselves about who is the better ship. akane x aqua or kana x aqua, and honestly i'm not sure i can see either of them happening.
but also this is something we see in the manga in chapter 9: who knows what aqua truly meant here, but i doubt it would have been added in the story if it meant nothing ofc there have been signs of aqua showing affections to both girls and i'm not saying the option of a romance could be off the table but this also feels like a warning
i cannot wait to come back in the future and revisit these thoughts after knowing the end of this story
First of all fuck the author for even hinting the Ruby x Aqua sweet home alabama shit, i feel like they were just testing the water and I hope the message that fans absolutely don’t like it is clear and they stop it, like it physically disgusted me even now thinking about it again makes want to throw up, but since he wrote Kana being freaked out about it ig they’re self aware. But let’s collectively act as if this was just a horrible joke and move on.
Also the Kana x Akane rivalry. Kana is better sorry! And it is a fact and honestly you’re so superficial if you STRONGLY believe otherwise. Like at first I liked Akane in the reality dating show arc, i was sobbing for her fr but after that she went flat other than her acting skills we don’t know anything about her as an individual, there’s really no depth in her, it always associated with some other more important character (chasing and obsessing over Aqua or rivalry and obsession -again lol- with Kana or coping Ai ) and she just supporting side character nothing more, i kept waiting for her to give me more to like her again but she just fell into the stereotype of chasing after the male lead with no self worth nor respect and we didn’t really get to see her shine and give us her investigators skills to find Ai truths and killer it was all pointless.
Kana on the other hand SERVED, i absolutely relate and feel for her, like yes she loves Aqua but that’s not her entire personality. Her backstory is heartbreaking even more than anyone else in this manga because it’s so realistic, the author really did a great job of showing us in details how a fallen child star could take a toll on someone. It reminded me of Teenage dream by Olivia when she says “they all say it gets better but what if i don’t?”. And Aqua manipulated Akane sure but he truly loved Kana, he had no benefit in Kana yet he’s obsessed with her, she doesn’t need to copy someone else to get him all those she deserves way better.
If there’s a love triangle there then it’s Kana, he didn’t to Akane smile or volunteerily seek her out just for purely her company, he’s always either forced or bored out of his mind or wants something from her even she ( a person who can read people psychologically so well it’s actually crazy) can tell he likes Kana but she chooses to ignore that which makes me not like her because girl have some self respect pls, where it’s the complete opposite with kana so really if you strongly think Akane is better in every regard then you’re obviously not very bright.
A voir.
the volumes are getting more intense and dark and i love it! i wonder how ruby will play her role in the movie, because even tho she really does have lack of experience in acting-she's made for this role🙂↕️ aqua scares me as always, but i think that's what makes him the best character in the series. i love how engaged he is in doing revenge for ai and how he always also remembers about ruby's previous life. i should have expected that ruby's parents will show up someday and i wonder if aqua will do something about the fact that he met the "mother" (fvck her)👹 also☝🏻 aqua also scares me with how easily he manipulates people, for example how he does this to kana. i saw spoilers from i think last chapter (if you didn't then better stop reading here) and i know that he actually loves her so i know he must be suffering inside when manipulating her🥹 (i'm still akane fan but i know they couldn't exist together and it hurts🥲) oh and i hope that aqua and ruby will tell each other who they were in their previous lifes, i need it.👹 looking forward reading next volume soon!😼
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This volume was fine. It continues the trend of the story taking a back seat to industry talk. It's interesting as a palate cleanser but I don't feel much passion for it as the plot has gone away.
I was glad to see some movement towards the twins actually thinking about their reincarnation on a personal level since that has always felt glossed over.
