A good book to read over lent. Gives a detailed study of five key chapters of Johns Gospel that take place in the upper room and helps you to get into the mind set of the disciples and what it must have been like when Jesus starts saying all this stuff about leaving them, but sending someone to help or dying then rising to life again. We read or hear all these verses so often we take them for granted because we see them against the backdrop of events of Easter but to his 12 followers he must have sounded really odd. Well worth picking up for next year.
