Este es el cuarto libro de la serie Kings of Mafia y le toca el turno a Dario, él es uno de los 5 jefes de NY, es el Hacker, rastreador y francotirador, pero también le gusta el arte por lo que posee un teatro de danza en donde trabaja Eden limpiando, pero todos los días cuando todos se van se pone a bailar para descargar el estrés que es su vida y es donde Dario la descubre, la confunde con una bailarina y se empieza a obsesionar con ella.
Es la historia de una chica pobre y el hombre rico, en donde ella cree que él es perfecto y ella no es lo suficiente buena para él, pero Dario no es tan perfecto como parece.
No es mi libro favorito, siento que es el más flojo de los cuatro, pero Dario es el más perfecto y dulce de todos, es muy buen amigo, amé lo tierno que es con su perrita y sus sobrinos y como todos le dicen que es el corazón de la organización. Él es lo mejor del libro y por lo que merece la pena ser leído.
Edén no me desagradó más no es mi favorita.
El final fue bastante dulce y lindo, no puedo esperar para el siguiente libro que es al que más le tengo ganas.

I'm having severe whiplash right now from this... I think this book broke me.
➳ The writing has not improved at all it's still awful and gave off strong wattpad vibes. I was cringing majority of the time.
➳ And the insta-lust gave me severe whiplash like everything happened so fast... YALL JUST MET WITH NO INTRODUCTION YET and 13% in we're already having kisses and almost near to sex. Then fast forward to 25% into the book and they have sex only knowing each others names and nothing else... it was sending me 💀
➳ 45% but I remember it was earlier than that... HE SAID HE WAS FALLING FOR HER BUT LIKE SLOW DOWN BUDDY it hasn't even been a full week yet. Chemistry and connection where? Not here for sure.

This might be a me problem, but where's the freaking chemistry? Insta-love and all that came out of nowhere; they went from 0-100. I mean, what, why, when, where, and how did that even happen?? 🥲 Even though the author said in the beginning that this one is more on the sweeter and romantic side, I still need the buildup. Even if this is insta-love, I still want to see the relationship progress, or at least something close to that. 😮💨
Then around the 40% mark they were halfway in love or already there. Idk when was the exact moment they had that realization for each other. 🤷♀️
Dario (31) is the most laid-back MMC in this series. Unfortunately, this just might be a me case again, but he's also giving me a hoe vibe. 🥴 There are a few glimpses in his POV that show his view about women, sex, and dating. Nothing scandalous or anything, but reading them, I got the impression he doesn't date and only sleeps with them; he probably has occasional fbs too. He said in one scene that he doesn't take them on dates, making it a point to Eden that she isn't just a fb like she initially thought.
Also, the way he crassly talked to her when they were acquaintances at best about how he would fxck her pissed the crap out of me. Others might consider it dirty talk; I might too, in a different scenario, yet I only got irritation from his lines. 😮💨
But I'm also blaming my testiness on everything he does because of how he ruined my mood when he said in his POV that he had feelings for Skylar (h from book 3), however, he let that go when he saw the MCs fall in love.
Look, I don't want my MMC (or FMC) to catch any feelings for any leads in this series. That's just not right; idk why, but it doesn't sit well with me, okay? I'd rather have them have feelings for other unknown people, not just for the MCs from the other books. Sensitive much? You bet I am. 🤷♀️
As for Eden (24), gosh, is this girl ever going to get a break? It was as though all the bad things that could possibly happen in this fictitious world were rained down on her. She's barely surviving, dirt poor, and struggling each day. I can't take reading all of the hardships she's going through; her situation is just cruel and unfair. 😩 But I suppose her fate will now change because she has finally found something good in Dario (or maybe not, who knows?). 🤷♀️
Also, these two were hiding their real jobs from each other. She doesn't want him to know she's a janitor in his company, and he doesn't want her to know he's part of the Cosa Nostra. I'm not a fan of lying, and idk if this hiding will backfire at a later part. 🤔
Anyway, this isn't for me, but I'm still going to read the last book in this series. After all, Damiano is the capo dei capi, and I'm already intrigued by his book. 🤭

first of all, those who gave this book 4 or more stars rating are ya'll okay 😭
nothing in this book is neither worth remembering nor worth reading! literally no chemistry between the main characters, insta-lust with no connection, very cringy writing, everything was moving so fast I was like slow down a bit where's the hurry. at this point it feels like the author is writing just for the sake of writing a new book.
i really hope the next book, which will be of Damiano's, is written correctly, please don't ruin his book.

Dario becomes obsessed with Eden who he sees as the elusive dancer in his new ballet studio. He desperately wants to find her and find out more about her and despite his resources he stops himself and wants it to happen naturally.
Eden comes from a different world than Dario and she believes he would never go for her if he knew the truths about her life and past. She also must deal with her mother who has been nothing but an absolute nightmare and disappointment since she was a child. She brings dangers to her doorstep repeatedly.
These two have a dance going on between them, she brings calmness to his chaotic life.
I will admit I expected Dario to be a bit more like the other guys in this series but honestly there were moments where I was laughing out loud by his antics. The dog? the way he goes on and on about it. It was truly unexpected but extremely welcome.
There is a lot more romance in this book than plot and it made more sense in this scenario to focus more on the romance.

La historia no me gusto mucho porque fue muy insta love para mi y encima no me gustaba porque no sentía la química entre los personajes.
Dario's one of the big bosses in New York, but he's also an arty type. That's where he meets Eden who works at the theatre he owns. The thing is, she's just a cleaner there but let him think she was a dancer after he saw her dancing about in the theatre.
I can't say it was a great read, but it was a bit of a sweet little story. To be honest, of all the books I expected this one to be a bit better.

First Impressions
Drawn To Darkness is the fourth installment in the "Kings of Mafia" series. I have enjoyed this series, but this book is by far my favorite of the series. I absolutely couldn't get enough of it. It delivered in all the ways that I love to see from Michelle Heard and what a interesting take on a mafia romance. It was a bit softer in some respects, and the author really brought to light her talent of humor here. Something that isn't common in her writing since she started writing mafia romance. But I loved the balance that we got with this story.

Opening my eyes, I listen to the sirens blaring around the neighborhood.

Summary
Drawn to Darkness is a story about a young women, Eden, who is barely surviving. She lives in the most criminal area of town, with neighbors that look out for each other, and working multiple jobs and spending her time dancing at night to express her joy and talent that is raw and real. Then she stumbles into Dario, who is the owner of the dance club she works at, but as they keep running into each other, her secrets from her can't be hidden for long. Dario is determined to find her and get beneath all of her secrets. But once he learns everything will he be able to keep her safe from those that would use her for her mother's crimes?
What I Loved
There were so many elements to this story that I actually adored. What I was most drawn to was the sweet romance. I love how these two got on together. The moments when she was dancing for him was so sensual and well written as it definitely captivates your attention. The connection that builds between Dario and Eden is powerful and charming. They have some great banter and we have somewhat pretty normal characters for a mafia romance which I truly loved so dearly.
Our hero is actually the tamest of the group actually, but is the HEART of the mafia crew. He is the one that works in the background, he works as a hacker and can find anyone or get any piece of information for those that he is loyal to. He is really just slightly morally grey, who barely skirts the law. So definitely a bit lighter feel to this mafia romance in some elements. Which I actually found refreshing that this story felt so "Normal" and nothing crazy or out of bonds, felt more romantic suspense with a good alpha male or a more edgy contemporary over a dark romance, but it still worked for me. And if you love good humor and want more of that in a dark mafia romance, then you will definitely enjoy how that is implemented in this one here.
The third act conflict was tremendously written. I was on the edge of my seat all the way through that. I never expected that to happen to be honest, but I see why it was written and how well it worked. There was a great level of suspense and I appreciated that there was a focus on human trafficking, that isn't as covered in romance as I would like it to be considering how common it actually is. And seeing how this group comes together to solve it and really comes as support for our pair was superb in every way.
What I Struggled With
Nothing really. I would have enjoyed this more if I hadn't been experiencing my blood pressure issues. But it was still a book that I literally couldn't put down which hasn't put down in months.
Overall View
Drawn To Darkness is a superb story that captivates the reader from the beginning, a story to keep you all addicted from the beginning to end and delivering a softer mafia romance with plenty of heart and edgy thrilling suspense to keep you entrenched into the story.

This one was a very cat mouse chase, lol.
Eden grew up with a mother who preferred drugs over everything, and it ruined her life and almost her daughters life. Eden Push thought and worked hard like 2 jobs, almost 3 to survive. She had her neighbor who was always there for her like a father, and I loved their bond. Eden loved dancing to her 2nd job she would take a few mins to unwind and dance. Ця книга в якійсь мірі нагадала мені казку «Попелюшка», він багатий - вона бідна, він намагається її знайти а вона втікає від нього і не називає своє імʼя….
Іден Тейлор — 24 роки, звичайна дівчина яка працює офіціанткою в закусочній та підробляє прибиральницею у балетній трупі.
Даріо Ла Роса — 31 рік, один з пʼяти босів «Коза Ностри».
Іден все життя живе в бідності і намагається заробити хоч на мінімальні свої потреби. Їй немає на кого покластися, тому що жінка яка народила її ніколи не була для неї матірʼю, вона швидше приносила тільки більше шкоди та проблем для Іден. Є звісно Тайрон її сусід і він майже як батько для неї, тому що коли вона була молодшою він завжди турбувався щоб вона мала що поїсти і доглядав за нею. Але життя навчило її, що завжди треба покладатися тільки на себе та свої сили, і не вірити у казки. Тому Іден працює на кількох роботах, в закусочній «Бургери Бена» працює з 16 років, і нещодавно почала працювати у нічну зміну в балетній трупі. Звісно він теж інколи має справу з жорстоким світом мафії, але все ж не стільки як решта босів. Його справжня пристрасть це - балетна трупа яку він придбав нещодавно та оперний театр. Я б сказала він найбільш мʼякий за характером, хоч і авторка показала ситуацію де відкрилось трішки і його темної сторони.
Одного вечора Даріо затримався після репитиції балетної трупи і коли йшов додому почув звук музики який долинав з танцювальної студії. Там він помітив красиву дівчину, яка так емоційно танцювала по її рухах було зрозуміло, що вона початківець але цей танець дарував йому відчуття спокою, він не міг відірвати погляд від неї. Коли Іден помітила, що у неї є глядач злякалася і відразу ж зупинилася, та почала збирати речі щоб піти. Коли вона підійшла до дверей незнайомець завʼязав з нею розмову і коли вона почула його імʼя - втекла. Це був її бос Даріо Ла Роса, вона не могла більше потрапляти йому на очі тому почала уникати його, їй потрібна була ця робота а він може звільнити її через ці пів години танцю замість прибирання.

Este libro me decepcionó, estaba muy emocionada por leer como uno de los jefes de la mafia se obsesiona y enamora de la chica que trabaja como su conserje, pero todo pasó súper rápido, literal se vieron y ya se querían y yo 🤨🤨🤨🤨 es el que menos me ha gustado, pero aún así tengo ganas de leer el de Damiano! Espero y deseo que sea mejor que este.

The fourth book in the Kings of Mafia series felt lighter compared to the others. It's more focused on the relationship between the main characters, but there's still some action in the middle of the book. This book also has a faster burn than the previous ones, which had a slower build-up. I was a bit worried because I usually don't like insta-love or lust, but I should've trusted Michelle's writing because this book turned out even better than I expected.
Dario is a key figure in Cosa Nostra. He's the tech whiz, the guy who can dig up any info and track people down. Despite his tough exterior, he's got this really friendly, easygoing vibe, almost like a golden retriever. I often found myself chuckling at his antics. One day, when he catches sight of Eden dancing in his ballet studio, he's immediately smitten with her.
Eden and Dario lead very different lives. Eden works multiple jobs to support herself and lives in an area with the highest crime rates. She faces challenges with her mother, who struggles with addiction. The one person she can rely on is her caring neighbor, who has looked out for her since she was a child. However, Eden's life takes a turn when she meets Dario.
I love books where the MMCs are completely devoted to the FMCs, and this book is a great example of that. Dario's unwavering devotion to Eden is really heartwarming. He goes to great lengths to ensure her safety and always treats her with respect. It's endearing how he never pressures her and always has her best interests at heart.
I loved the way the third act of conflict was written! The suspense had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I always appreciate how the characters support each other in tough times - it's so heartwarming. While the romance took center stage in this book, I still enjoyed it just as much as I do with any of Michelle's other books.

My favourite of the series! Oh man this one made me tear up! Definitely more emotional than the other books but still a lot of dark elements. I love love loved Dario!!! Obsessed with him and how he treated Eden.

Much awaited 4th in the Cosa Nostra series and it was another quick and enjoyable read. Dario and Eden's story was a lot lighter compared to Renzo and Skylar's. The connection was on the quicker side, but it didn't feel too insta which I appreciated. Out of all the guys, Dario definitely seemed to be the least involved with the Mafia side of the business but his darker side did come out a bit, which was great. Eden was a strong, independent character which I really liked. There wasn't any unnecessary relationship drama and they both acted like adults, so that's always great as well.
Looking forward to Damiano's story next.

Dario yo te quiero mucho, pero tu libro me quedó al debe. La trama se sintió un poco floja y casi no había química, y ni hablar del instalove, lit se vieron una vez y ya se amaban. Ojo que yo no tengo drama con eso, pero no se sintió genuino.

I liked returning back into the Kings of Mafia world, even though this story was more contained than the previous three stories in the series!!!
Dario's story was more tame and kind of romantic in a weird way... but I still loved him and his girl with the beautiful name, Eden...
They were intriguing me and they have made me swoon several times, and of course, Michelle's trademark twist made me lose my mind!!! Oh, how much I love the way she is teasing us all the time!!! Her twists are notorious after more than 30 books that I have already read by her!!!!

I liked returning back into the Kings of Mafia world, even though this story was more contained than the previous three stories in the series!!!
Dario's story was more tame and kind of romantic in a weird way... but I still loved him and his girl with the beautiful name, Eden...
They were intriguing me and they have made me swoon several times, and of course, Michelle's trademark twist made me lose my mind!!! Oh, how much I love the way she is teasing us all the time!!! Her twists are notorious after more than 30 books that I have already read by her!!!!

Eden is leading a poor life where she is busting her butt to meet ends... She is working two works to be able to survive and she is allowing herself only thirty minutes per day to decompress by dancing in the ballet theatre that she is working as a janitor...
But one day, she is being caught by the owner, Dario La Rosa and he is mistakenly taking her for one of his ballerinas...
Now, she has to stay out of his sight in order to not lose her job, but this man is making it impossible for her to stay out of his way!!!

Dario had never turned down a challenge and he is determined to find this girl and make it his!!!

Even though, they were the most tamed compared to the previous ones, there was lying intensity and passion between them...
Yes, these two were from different worlds, but they were both keeping secrets from the other...
Eden couldn't see how a man like Dario could fall for a poor girl like her, but she was so worng, cause she was showing strength and passion like no other woman...

Eden is working two jobs and avoiding her druggie mother at all costs. She shows up at the worst times and is always surrounded by trouble, which they try to take out on Eden.
Dario La Rosa is a made man, but he also owns a ballet company he is excited to see their first performance. This is where he meets Eden, but he thinks she is a dancer. Little does he know she is the janitor and uses her break taking out her aggression in dance. Dario wants Eden, but she is weary in getting involved. Could he accept her even though she completely wrong for him?
Another great one from this author. I liked Eden quite a bit, she does have a bit of a roller coaster talking herself into giving Dario a chance.

Un libro de mafia qué se enfoca más en la relación romántica. Fue muy dulce y tierno 💗.
💙Dario como protagonista me ganó totalmente 😩💞. Cada cosa que decía o pensaba me tenían in love. Y la manera en la que hablaba de Eden? Dios, lo amo ❤️🩹.
🩶Eden también fue muy linda, y me gustó mucho su personalidad fuerte. Pude entender la resistencia que tenía a comenzar una relación con Dario al ver como tuvo que salir a delante casi solo.
Peeeero no creo que sea de los mejores de esta autora. Pudo haber descrito aún más las escenas de sexo y darles más profundidad. Describir aún más los sentimientos, etc. Pero pues es un libro cortito que, como la nota de la autora dice al inicio del libro, es un respiro entre la historia de Renzo y, próximamente, la de Damiano (qué sospecho estará fuerte).
💫💫💫 Aun así, disfrute mucho leyendolo. Lo termine en un día, fue un sin parar hasta acabarlo de lo adictiva y fácil de leer qué es la pluma de la autora. Definitivamente ella es de mis author comfort 💫💫💫.

Dario and Eden had an undeniable connection from the beginning, the chemistry was just so hooottt!!!
Eden and Dario come from different backgrounds but that doesn't mean that she isn't good enough for him and he does everything he can to make her see that.
... Michelle said that this was a light read before we get Damiano's book, but the heart pounding moments/chapters this book had, it truly had me on edge.

This was amazing. I am actually stuck for words to describe the feels I got from reading this. Dario and Eden could not be further apart, but really they were not. Eden works in the ballet studio that Dario owns, and he is swept away in one moment, watching, where she shrugs of the cloak of her life and embraces the music thru dance. It is a moment where everything just stops and this just speaks to your soul on a deeper level.
Without a doubt, the attraction in that moment is electric, however Eden has doubts that he would ever want her, knowing she is merely just the janitor, and these moments she steals for herself, are the times she feels, alive. So, she hides herself, hoping he will never know.
Dario has his own darkness that he prefers to keep hidden. Hidden behind is true passion, the arts, so seeing the love Eden has for dance, he is mesmerised, and wants to know more about the woman, who thru dance, steals hs breath away.
There are so many poignant moments, but all I can stress is, read the book. I love Michelles writing, and this just proves her ability to transport us to the places she writes about, and the hearts of the characters that are the centre of that story. I literally absorbed this book in less than 24 hours, as every page had so much emotion that it drove me to keep turning and reading, and feeling. If I could have given more stars, I would have.

I just couldnt get over their HUGE financial difference lol
Maybe it would've made more sense if they spent more time together and their relationship developed overtime instead of lame insta-love
