Thanks to the author for an ARC of this book.I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion. I have read each book in this exciting paranormal series, and love the intricate overarching story of Larissa as she develops her powers. Unique in the school, she aligns with 2 camps and yet initially feels excluded from both as she is increasingly treated as something 'special'. This book starts with her in the midst of a combination of difficulties which relate to her personal life as well as her paranormal abilities. Her stalwart friends are helping her with the never-ending challenges as David, the author, expertly provides thrilling twists and turns with interesting and exciting detailed explanations. Alongside the supernatural elements Larissa's love life does not run smoothly and there are big implications for the future in this book. Don't miss this unusual and exciting series, best to read all books in order!
3 1/2 STARS Not my favorite entry of the series but it does serve to move the story along and take us into a new era. Things will be shaken up quite a bit for the reader in this one. "Gah" at having to wait for the next. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion of the tale.
Blood Wars, the sixth book in the Coven Cove series, brings us back to the coven. Except for a choice few who are helping her, Larissa and her daughter Samantha must remain hidden since she has escaped from Mordin prison. Her life is in chaos with Nathan missing, her daughter growing with accelerated speed, and she is being hunted by the witch counsel. When she needs her powers the most, when her life is in such turmoil, she can’t even master the simplest of spells. Larissa must find that order especially since Nathan is calling out to her for help. She needs to find him before the witches continue their quest to rid the world of vampires. I loved this story. The plot and characters are incredible in this addictive series. Witches and vampires at war makes for excellent reading that just draws you in. I am looking forward to the next book in this fantastic series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book focused a lot on the child that Larissa had. About learning how much witch and vampire she is and may be. There's a lot of hidden plots going on with the council and Larissa has a relatively decent win against them finally. Throughout the story she is struggling majorly with her magic, but at least everyone was right about why it just wasn't working for her. Nathan is yet again a completely different character by the end of the book. This man has done a 360° in the last three books and it's giving me whiplash. But maybe there will be a happy ending in the next book as it's the last of the series I believe. Overall decent story but put SO much emphasis on Larissa’s child's “true” age and it got a little tiresome. I look forward to the next book though.
If Larissa isn't struggling, is that even life? This poor girl has been through it all. It's no wonder the chaos has got the better of her. I love these characters so much; it's like visiting friends when I read their stories. Clark has such a way with world building that it's like you're standing in the room, just hanging out with these people. I think I've said this before with this series, but I really think it would make an amazing movie series! If you love vampires, witches, and werewolves, and some really cool magic, read these! You won't be disappointed.
Wow! David did it again. The sixth book in this great series. Emotions and struggles collide when Larissa can't control her Magic because she's worried about Nathan. A very exciting story that is woven into a fascinating plot. I must confess that I am very happy that Nathan is back in the end, but I will not tell you how. Read this exciting story, with a great plot. It's hard to wait for the next book.
I received an ARC for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Being pregnant and delivering a healthy child, as a vampire had never happened before, no one knows what's going to happen now she is born Samantha is growing fast and her father is still missing. They are on lockdown within the coven and I've vampires outside the coven are being attacked. No-one except those doing it know. All this going on and having no control over her powers is making it hard on everyone to make plans. Good Read.
Blood Wars (Coven Cove Book 6) ❤️🔥❤️🔥 absolutely loved this book!! I
Blood Wars (Coven Cove Book 6) ❤️🔥❤️🔥 absolutely loved this book!! I totally enjoyed listening 🎧 and reading this book to this series!!! The story line is engrossing and the characters are well developed. I can't wait to start reading and listening to the next book in the series!. Definitely recommend this series and David Clark -he is amazing author ..
This story was more of an information type. There was not a lot of action but some information was given to move the story along and fill in spaces from previous books. We do get to see Larissa struggle with being a parent and taking on the more mature route while fighting her more impulsive personality. This is an actual 3 1/2 rating. I received a free ARC of this tale and this is my unbiased review.
I was hooked from the first book and the following five were written superbly. The dramas and suspense carry through each book. This book again was well written and edge of the seat drama from start to Cindy. Can’t wait for the final book. Pre ordered.
1 click now but the first book and the rest is history. You will not be disappointed
2.5 ⭐️ the storyline itself is enjoyable and a fast read. However, with each book in the series, the typos become increasingly numerous to the point of inexcusable. The ending wrapped up too neatly tied in a bow also.
This was another good book in an excellent series that gives more depth and detail to an ever-engaging story. This book and the series are a very good read.
Not the best. I think it would appeal to those who like vampire stories, but I guess I'm not such a one. It is well written and descriptive , but it just couldn't hold my interest
How can a book be so satisfying, yet leave you hanging? It's because this series is fantastic, hook your fangs into it and tell a friend because I can't get enough!
Wow! David has done it again. Another great book in this amazing series. Emotions, struggles & thriller intertwined creating a captivating plot. I’m so happy Nathan is back.
Currently half way through this book, but like the other 5 I can’t put it down. The gripping nature of the unexpected is beyond thrilling. Roll on book 7. Honestly the ending was not what I expected at all, which made the overall story so much better as it answered about 89% of the questions I had
