I lost everything because of Elliot. My family, my freedom, my religion. I never wanted to see him again, but now I need him to finish this one job and after that, we are done.
My whole life there was only one man for me, Elliot Knight. That was until his bad choices changed my whole life and he left me to take the blame for his mistakes. Having to work with him years later was not something I ever imagined. Neither was living together in the single-bedroom house. Yet here we are.
Time is short and the longer we are together the more old emotions surface. It's just one job and in the end perhaps a little payback, but when everything goes haywire will I be able to do to him what he did to me? Can you ever truly get over your first love? Or will I once again take the fall for his mistakes?
Blame Game is an action-adventure romance filled with hidden identity, second chance romance, a loveable rogue, and a con job that has you questioning who is conning whom. As always, you can expect no cheating, open-door loving, and a happy ending for our lovely couple.
I've never met a romance, paranormal story, or oatmeal cookie I didn't like. I love building worlds that make you want to visit or move right in and crafting characters that feel like your next best friend. I travel between contemporary romance and paranormal mostly because each of them brings me joy and lets me explore different sides of each character. When I'm not writing, you can find me in my kitchen baking all kinds of goodies. To learn more about me or my upcoming books, visit my website. tlruss.com
I usually don’t stay up until six in the morning finishing a book...until now. I blame Sunday and Elliot for my late night race to finish this amazing, fast paced story. It highlights one of my favorite tropes. Second chance romance! In the beginning when Sunday reconnects with Elliot you aren’t really sure if she’s really just playing him or if she is allowing herself to open her heart to him again. Now Elliot doesn’t make it easy for her to be receptive to his plea for forgiveness but none of that will matter until the job they have to do is complete. At moments you will wonder is this just a part of the game or are they really falling back in love. I will tell you that the ending was one that I absolutely did not expect but so worth staying up late for.
These endings are killing me. OMG, I have so many theories up in my head! I can't wait to read the next book. Blame Game had just the right amount of push and pull that you would get from the resentment Sapphire should have for an ex which made this so believable and oh so good. Seeing Elliot pine for her (and I love a good pining man) made me fall in love with their relationship. Their dynamic as a couple was also good, it was paced well. This is the perfect read for anyone who loves a believable Second Chance romance.
Not only this is a fast read because it is a short romance but also because the action, the pain of the past, and the series mystery makes you read as quickly as possible!!! A great read and great palette cleanser between longer books!!!
