"He’d lost the battle to stay in the protected water and was a slave to that devil wind."

Can you believe that helpless boy transform into an organized mad scientist? So organized that state troopers go bonkers.

Pagan's "dedicated to learn" Character is enjoyable but more of his perspective in his research would have added a dimension. He ignored the ethical parts of research and most of his victims have not given informed consent. But why did he do that? Is it his coping mechanism that takes people for granted? Or, does he enjoy the thrill to play back and forth with consciousness? (using Cancer patients as samples)

I love both Ward and "crazy chick" Belle. Both the characters are well defined and the polly test with Miranda warning are informative. I love the explanation of the research on human samples. Emma is a great would be Lady Watson.

The skilful writing style has made Cancer a character while the brain damaging research with waves (Delta, Beta, etc) makes you think about different sides of research. Also, Alaska's nature, lifestyle and lake Barkley have become alive with the said.

Belle with such educational excellence has such a sad ending. And that is life.

The storyline never lost its flow. Overall, an unique way to poke the concept of consciousness.

I received an advance review copy(Booksirens) for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
