I LOVED this book. I was on the edge of my seat!

One of my favourite reading experiences is when the environment I am in is mirrored in the books I’m reading. LOST IN OWL CREEK is set in the Pacific Northwest in January; the dreary weather is setting the perfect mood for current weather in Southwest Washington state. The experience is so immersive, and pulls me right into this darkly intense, high-stakes story.

The main characters are likable, realistically flawed, down to earth folks who are struggling through post-divorce single parenthood and the trials of a demanding job. The characters, setting, and plot are so engaging and describe such deeply traumatic events that I feel like I’m reading about real people. These are people that I could be friends with, people I could go to church with. This is a breath-taking, edge-of-your-seat, deeply emotional, and well-written mystery series.

I love the interactions between main characters Val and Joel- those in-between moments of dialogue that I personally find so hard to write. I also love the way Caren Hahn described the relationship between Joel and Abby; she brought out the intense trust and loved required to step-parent a child.

I was asked to be an ARC reader for this book. I was so excited to read it as soon as I did. I am completely invested in the characters of this series. I couldn't put it down! The characters are solid and the action is fast paced and descriptive. The subject matter is a hard subject to read about but its unfortunately something we hear about all too often. I believe it was dealt with realism and compassion. I was holding my breath in several parts in this book! Lost in Owl Creek (Owl Creek Series Book 3) by Caren Hahn

I love this book! Just the right amount of suspense, sadness and love. It is so well written and the description of the town, Owl Creek truly makes me feel like I am there with them. I got the same feeling when the author was describing Park City, Utah (one of my most favorite places in the whole world). I am sad that this series has come to an end! I could read about Val and Joel’s adventures always and forever!

Ho.ly. Cow. She did it again. This book had me riveted, making me neglect nearly everything so I could get to the end so my heart would stop pounding. Lots of plot twists and unexpected things, hoping against hope that things will turn out the way you want them to. Loved it!

Lost in Owl Creek by Caren Hahn

Amazing! This last book in the Owl Creek series does not disappoint! I was hooked from page one, following main characters Joel and Val through another fast paced story. I was wanting to read as fast as I could  to devour the book, and also reading every single word to make the story last cause I didn't want it to end.
The characters feel like family, as a reader I'm cheering when good things happen and cringing when its bad. The plot and setting are great, we are familiar with Owl Creek by book Three,  but we are taken to other parts of the country, and the settings are well described. I was honestly on the edge of my seat for most of this novel and couldn't put it down.
Caren Hahn is a fairly new author for me, but so glad I found her. I will be waiting for her next novel. Her writing style flows and books are wonderful to read. If you haven't read her books, now is the time!

Get ready for another wild ride.
The final book of the Owl Creek series by Caryn Hahn is a page-turner.
Owl Creek is seeing way more than its fair share of crime and evil, making Val reconsider her choice to move back.
Things get way worse before they get better....
Get your chores done before March 12 because you won't want to put this one down.

Compelling suspense thriller.

Another incredible thriller in the Owl Creek series by Caren Hahn. After reading the first two suspense filled books Smoke Over Owl Creek and Hunt At Owl Creek, I was expecting
this one to carry on with the high paced, tense and compelling read, I was not disappointed. I was so gripped and drawn in to the traumatic events happening to and all around Val, Abby & Joel. Totally did not expect the outcome to this one, and so many twists. Loved the characters, superbly described as was the surroundings, gave an amazing vision of being there, seemed so real. I read all three in succession. If you like suspense thrillers, the Owl Creek series is for you. Recommend.

Caren has written a screen-worthy epic that you won't be able to walk away from! If you have come this far in the Owl Creek trilogy then let me assure you, you won't be disappointed! Every time you think you have the mystery solved, she throws you another curve ball and leaves you questioning everything you think you know. Her dedication to building relatable, realistic characters that you feel like you know by the end of the journey is uncanny. Her scenes are ultra-realistic, and her attention do details make you feel the ambiance of the moment as if you are there in person. If you want a book that will keep you riveted, and give you all the feels at the same time, this is the one! This book does deal with a lot of traumatic events, but Caren always handles them with prudence. She is also consensuses enough to include a list of possibly problematic topics before the novel so you can use your own judgement in proceeding. It's a wonderful culmination of emotions and adventure, that draws to a beautiful conclusion the story of Owl Creek, in a way that will leave the fans of the series very satisfied!

Caren Hahn hit the ball out of the park again. In this final book of the Lost Creek series I was on the edge of my seat as the story unfolded. Plot twists and turns kept me reading long past bed time. As with Caren's other books, I was caught up in the story and the lives of the characters. Characters who are good people with flaws who overcome harrowing challenges. They learn to forgive themselves, others and trust after horrifying betrayal. Action and police work is portrayed without graphic violence or language.
I am a devoted fan and devour her books. I am part of the Advanced Reader group so received a copy to read and review in advance of the release date. I have purchased the book as well to support the author and have all 3 books in my library to enjoy again.

Be prepared to not put this book down and for past your bedtime reading!! Lost in Owl Creek is riveting right from the beginning!! It makes you want to hug your children even tighter and never let them go!! Val and Joel are characters who I fell in love with in the first two books and going through the horror of this storyline with them pulls at my heartstrings even more! Caren Hahn does an amazing job placing us right there in the middle of it all brilliantly!! Totally edge of the seat reading!!

Read all 3 books in the series, plus 2 bonus episodes. You won’t go wrong in reading them all. After the first one, I downloaded and read them all one after the other! They held my interest that well. These were first I had read by this author, but I’m following her now and will read her other books.

This was a great conclusion to the series, where the shocked town hears about vanishing girls.

There were several lines of enquiry and red herrings - cleverly done.

The characters suited the plot, which was nicely twisty. I enjoyed the mystery and suspense.

Recommended.

Emotionally evocative, this story takes you through a gambit of feelings as the small town of Owl Creek searches for 3 little girls lost. But to Val, it's not just little girls lost, it's her little girl that's lost. Author Caren Hahn expertly weaves a tale of love and loss as we take one last journey with Val and Joel, who must rely on each other to get through the unimaginable. I loved the first two novel of this trilogy but Lost in Owl Creek is a step above and had me thinking of the story and its nuances even when I couldn't be between the pages. In fact, I just can't imagine this is the end for Val and Joel. I'll be watching out for a fourth book in this 'trilogy!' ;)

This is a, hug your babies, hold their hands tight, lock your doors, and practice situational awareness, kind of book! The third book in the Owl Creek series wastes no time jumping right into action, anxiety, and adrenaline. It will jumpstart your empathy and test your levels of vulnerability as you move through the story with the characters to search for those who are Lost in Owl Creek.
