I like Sci-fi tales because anything goes, and it's not weird. The world that Jennifer has created is full of modern technology, along with AIs that are more than they seem.
The story is told in multiple POV, which makes the story more immersive. There is action, a variety of aliens; some are truly evil, and others are just big, deadly teddy bears.
SiN is the twelfth book in the Daverius, House of DAR series, and tells the story of SiN and Jade.
What a great and original read! It is heartbreaking, sad, loving, and heart-warming, with some fun moments.

Good stories marred by grammatical errors
First of all, I have read all the books in this series, which speaks to the captivating nature of the characters and stories. Although the writer says in her bio that her style is influenced by her "country girl" background in Appalachia, the grammatical errors aren't consistent, and don't really help develop the narrative (Mark Twain's "Adventures of Huck Finn", for example). I hate to be nitpicky, I really do. But these stories deserve the attention of a good editor or proofreader. Save the country girl dialect for the dialog, and take some constructive grammatical criticism on the narrative writing. I rarely take the time to review books on Kindle Unlimited. It seems to be a lost cause to give feedback on them. Most of them are full of bad grammar, bad punctuation, and malapropisms, not to mention plain old typos. But every so often there are diamonds in the rough that could be so much more enjoyable to read were it not for the jarring effect of grammatical errors. I can hear it now - "if you don't like them, don't read Kindle Unlimited books." The thing is, I do like the stories. It's just a shame that the technical aspects of the writing get in the way.
I applaud this author for overcoming obstacles in order to make her dream of becoming a writer come true. I would love to see her develop into a better author, utilizing the viewpoint and charm from her background to enhance the stories rather than detract from them.
It's not my intention to insult the author. Bottom line: I think these books are good, but could be so much better with a little polishing.

Trigger Warning!! Past physical and mental abuse of MC's!!
Emotional,enlightening and stellar example that anyone can have redemption.
Sin's plan has backfired, leaving him gravely injured and on the run. He goes to his only friend, Mystic, the old guardian, to sleep and heal. Only he wakes up to an intruder.
Mystic is wise as well as kind and strong. She has hidden the tiny creature so it could heal as well. She will need the protection of her other ward that Mystic shelters. The little one is the only light for the darkness!
Jade not only doesn't know where she is, she has no memory of how she came to be there. Matter of fact, her mind is a total blank except for a constant fear!
She is his angel, his light and whoa to anyone who would do harm to her!
So many questions answered that let the reader know why things came to be as they are. While it is a stand alone, you may want to read previous books to get to know some of the character's back stories.
Such sadness all caused by one demented and malicious mind. Besides being very serious, there are bright, steamy and laugh out loud moments.
I can not say enough good things about this one. Treat yourself to this great sci-fi redemption romance!

Finally, Sin's story.
As much as I really enjoy this series, I felt this story was rushed, full of spelling mistakes, even questioned if this was JIM's writing. It is always nice to meet some of the brothers again, Jade's character was a brave, tortured soul, who's story seemed to be glossed over and not given the usual thought out process that usually her female leads get. Even though Jade's story was heart-wrenching, Sin's cruelty to her when they first met was just as bad. Both strong characters and so full of emotion that to skim over creating their connection, and not create right amount of intensity just left it a little less. Overall I have followed this series and yes still love your writing style JJM and the evocative images and emotions each of your characters come with and how you twist and use and grow them in strength and their magical powerful abilities, I look forward to see where the House of DaR grows to. ❤️

A real challenge for Sin
I am reading this series, House of Dar, and enjoying each story and offspring. These have been a true pleasure to jump into this world. Now this book is the prodigal son named Sin. He looks just like Dar, but he has been poisoned by his mother to hate Dar because he did not return her feelings. Sin’s mom tricked her sister, Dar, and Sin’s twin sister Elleria. That mom was horrible. In this book Sin learns this difficult truth. What will he do? Will he finally accept Dar as his father? I enjoyed Sin’s journey in this book until the big event near the end. The fact that they made it unsafe for him to return home and be acquainted with his family was just not right. Sin could still be bad awesome and kick butt without an outlaw status. Not pleased with that judgement. Still good. . . Read On!

SiN has been an evil thorne in everyone’s side and after getting injured during his last scheme he’s hit rock bottom when he finds his safe place and a wounded human who is in his refuge. jade can’t remember where she has been or why she is on a planet but know she has to
Keep running. Taking refuge in a giant tree she doesn’t know is a Guardian she goes one on one with SiN attracted and repulsed due to her fractured mind. Will SiN get away form everyone hunting him and heal so he can get back to revenge or will accept that he has started something and has to out Jades’ needs before his own. Love seeing DaR, Kira and most of the sones and mates take a hand in redemption!

SiN is a complex MMC, he is so poisoned by what he is taught to believe that he struggles to see the truth he is forced to confront. His jealously and hatred of his brothers and father shows he was really longing for the connection and family that was stolen from him.
Jade has been swept into an alien world she doesn't understand. Her vulnerability and bravery in the face of the unknown is admirable. Her compassion and acceptence becomes the spark that leads SiN to his redemption.
A great book for anyone looking for a story with emotion, redemption, and romance.

Pleasantly surprised…
I wasn’t sure how Jennifer was going to redeem SiN. She did a poll on her website, asking if he should be redeemed or killed off I said he should be killed off the things he did were so bad, two characters that I have truly fallen in love with. THIS Book took me by surprise, and I was able to fall in love with SiN and can now see him fitting in with the rest of the family. I mean, I was truly impressed with the way that Jennifer didn’t immediately give him redemption. We got to see his struggle and I just really love this book so take a read!

All the feels
I have been enjoying all the books in the series but I have been waiting for this one. Sin is such a bad guy I was cheering for him to meet his match, someone to bring light to his darkness.
This was so good and filled in a bunch of missing holes of background information. And brought the possibility of so many more books.
I highly recommend it but you really need to read the series.

Good but could be better
Super excited to read SiN but was disappointed in how rushed the book feels. The story was good but you can tell that the editing is very minimal as sentences don't make sense. Following the conversations were difficult as you couldn't tell who was talking most of the time. I have read all other 11 books in this series and have loved them all, but the quality of this book was not as high the rest.

🤣😡😭😍
This book took me thru all the feels. I cried, laughed, and got mad, but I loved this story. It answered a ton of questions and had so many twists and turns. I couldn't put this book down and read it one day.
I really hope we're not done with this world. Dar has so many more sons who need stories, and we need to know what happens with the other commander.

exceptional series
I love this series as it develops the characters and provided insight into the
crisis they will face. The author does such a great job of having a person disappear into the story that they hate for it to end.
I hope that we get to see the other brothers And how they find their mates. I look forward to your continued writing.

I was afraid this would be ridiculous.
It was definitely not ridiculous. The entire series has been fabulous, emotional & sexy. I couldn’t figure out how this particular character would ever get into the fold. This is a complete example of the prodigal son. It was beautiful & warm. I am thrilled for these characters. What a fabulous family.

Wow!!!!
When I read the last book last year, which was Vin, I honestly was upset 😡 😢 😭 😳 because it was not an ending I was waiting for. No! It was a very confusing end, but now I m happy with the results!
Thank you. I haven't read Scout, so that book is next. I hate cliffhangers, so I m happy to read it! 😍😍😍😍😍

All the books in this series are awesome but this one was kind of a letdown. Don't get me wrong, it was still very worth reading I just thought with the subject content it would have more fire and passion

Outstanding
This was so very good. I have read the whole series and always wanted Sin to have his story. He was so easy to dislike throughout the series but I had a soft spot for him. This book gave him his life back and more. You must read the series to appreciate his journey.

Sin and Jade
I have read this entire series in less than 2 weeks. I was hooked! I cried at court, hated then loved Sin. I’m so glad i read this. I can only hope that green girls and lightening filled boys get a story too.

I have been waiting for this book. Sin, the bad boy of the House of DaR, finds his true love. I was thrilled he was redeemed and I learned more about his backstory. He was the villain for much of the series, so far. But I had a hard time disliking him. I knew he would eventually find a place in the family. This book was exactly what I was wishing for.

At times, I really need a book just like this one. It had an excellent story, but it wasn’t so heavy that it was difficult to get through. It had everything necessary to be engaging and enjoyable. I am only sorry it ended!

Been waiting for SiN's book.
Ms. Miller, I love your imagination. You keep the reader engrossed and it's SO worth it ! I can't say much about SiN because it would give too much away. Only if you've been reading this series all along then this book will leave you smiling ! Enjoy !

I loved that Sin finally found redemption with Jade. It helps when the other family members are often mentioned in the story as well. Great job!
