Twenty-one-year-old Kyla Adkins frequents the Internet in search of her soul mate.
While online, she meets hot and devilishly handsome Justin Brogan. Dangerous, arrogant and quite psychotic, Justin hacks into Kyla's computer and soon he controls everything, including her heart and her life.
TROLL Part Three is an erotic short of 7300 words. Includes graphic sexual content.
If you've read Emma Clark's other books, you know what you're letting yourself in for. It's a WTF read. If you haven't... Then expect a vulnerable likeable heroine and a psychotic male, with some non-con or dub-non-con.
The Troll series is about an introverted female who likes bad boys and has an obsession with chatrooms and dating sites. Until one day a charming looking male starts sending her explicit, crude private messages. He acts obsessively, intensely and stalkerish, until he shows up at her apartment. Then his fun and games begin.
Emma Clark's books aren't for everyone, they don't fall in with crowd, they feature men who seem to have/actually have mental issues. They can be charming and sweet and in the next instance be totally cruel.
I liked this little series (around 70 pages) for keeping me on my toes, wondering what's going to happen next and for breaking the mould.
Well, while still compelling, I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first two. The introduction of Justin's ulterior motive- which is career based, left me wondering if this book just took a turn from dark erotica to suspense & espionage (which I would be less likely to read). The ending was great though, because the reader is left with the disquieting thought that he is probably part obsessive stalker and part skilled professional...who works with a groteque mask and machine gun...hiding other disturbing talents that can make him far more dangerous than we first thought...
Experiencing this series was just a ride of "please tell me it's over" because it's gone from a questionable non-con smut series to espionage and career-furthering. As if the story was not convoluted enough, we get even more.
I sure hope book four never comes, this series is a minefield of nope.
This was a super short read. I really liked the authors prior book boy next door and didn’t realize she had other books. Justin is certifiably insane and psycho. But in an insane way I want him and the H to make it. She only rejects him when she is feeling self conscious regarding her body. I did want to make a statement about the h being 125 lb and 5 ft being considered overweight lol. I’m a shorty myself at 5 feet and at 21 I was 125 lbs but mostly due to muscle as I was also a size 2 at that weight lol so just felt the need to say hey! Wait a minute! Lol
I loved this book. It was insane but I couldn’t put it down. The author really has a way to draw you into her insane circumstances and certifiable psychotic H. Like her H definitely have some type of psychosis they don’t realize what they are doing is wrong .
I typically don’t like novellas but didn’t mind this bc it didn’t read like a quick smutty read. It felt like a real story. I didn’t love the twist with TROLL. That twist seemed to have come out of no where and I have no idea why the judge would need her to keep cancelled checks.
This writer is very talented. I don’t think she writes anymore, but the thing I love is how she was writing dark books before it was so popular. I love reading dark books from this period bc they are so engaging and the plot seems so compelling vs some of the newer books out. I do wonder why the writer no longer publishes, bc she really is talented in writing compelling stories that cross all types of boundaries and somehow makes you root for the H that honestly have no redeeming qualities.
I read this book after reading another book, that was good but is soooo wordy. Like it’s a storyline I’m interested in and would like to finish the story but just not sure if I have the mental willpower to finish the second book. This book was a nice quick read that still left me wanting more
It a good read but you get so frustrated because it's so short and have to wait ages for the next part. Just wish it was written in one book. Easier to get hold of but still can't wait to read the rest.
