A husband and personal driver sets out to find the depraved savage who raped and murdered his beloved wife. He believes the culprit is the same mysterious man who stalked her when she was still alive.
Fueled by rage and driven by vengeance — he’ll navigate through dark secrets and lies while crossing suspects off his list one-by-one. He won’t stop until he exacts revenge and does right by his late wife.
Throughout this dangerous task, he slowly uncovers a dark, sinister mystery relating to multiple women in rainfall who suddenly vanished, never to be seen again…
The book is fast-paced and slightly engaging, with a lot of action. However, I really wished the characters had more depth. No one truly left a mark in terms of character development.
Damian is a force to be reckoned with. He’s temperamental and overprotective, but his rough nature could lead to his downfall. Scarlett, though central to the story due to her murder, is a boring character. I felt her character lacked depth, even though everyone seems to be obsessed with her.
The other characters were forgettable, though Ivan might be the most sane one among them. He serves as the moral compass amidst all this chaos.
The twists? Not bad, but not that shocking either.
This crazy book is about the stalker of the main character’s wife. It’s super crazy. 5 out of 5. All I’m gonna say is that it has a stalker in it and it also has…..a wife. My Wife’s Stalker. Brilliant.
My second book from the author and it did not disappoint!! It grabbed my attention right at the prologue. I was trying to figure out who the stalker was and I was soo wrong. Great story with lots of twists! The ending though…😳.
I got the chance to read the eARC of this book & for that I am forever grateful. This book is seriously intense and hooks you from literally page 1! I did not want to put it down. The plot twists were so well written, I kept thinking I had it figured out, I DIDN’T! By the ending, my jaw was on the floor!! Very good, fast paced, suck you in type of thriller!!
First off, i would like to thank the author for gifting me an ARC for a honest review…
WOW, just wow! I thought I had everything figured out and knew who the stalker was and BAM!! A twist you definitely don’t see coming. This book is insanely good. I highly recommend it.
3.25-3.5 stars. I did not think this was great. The mystery was standard/fine, but the writing felt almost juvenile/first draft to me. (soooo many short staccato sentences. See Spot Run. Run, Spot, run!). Book itself was short enough, so points for that.
This is my first by this author and I must give it to him, he’s definitely on the right path. Lots of action, plenty of twists and turns to keep your curiosity peaked. I definitely will check out his two previous books. But what I’m most anxious to see is his progression as he gets his flow, cause I think once he does , we’re going to get some incredible books from him! All that being said, this was a quick, enjoyable read. Who doesn’t love a good book about murder and stalkers?
I wanted to like this so badly 😭 the story in itself wasn't bad but the writing just seems...cheesy? It's my first by Spencer so I'm going to give him another shot before counting him out!
I really enjoyed this. I tried to figure out the twist and identify the stalker, but I kept being thrown off as the chapters continued. I enjoyed the reveal and ending.
This is my second book by this author and WOW! In the small town of Rainfall, Damian is out looking for his wife’s stalker, who just may also be his wife’s murderer, and looking to seek revenge. He investigates suspects on his own, trying to untangle lies. While doing this, he uncovers a dark mystery surrounding other women who disappeared in the town of Rainfall.
Guerrero writes wonderful books. He keeps the action, fast pace, and the suspense going all throughout the book. When you think you know which was it’s going to go, think again! There are twists and turns you’ll never see coming.
I enjoyed that while Damian was “investigating” he didn’t come across that way. It didn’t feel like he decided to become a cop to figure out the case. All of his motivation was in the loss of his wife and the revenge he was seeking. He didn’t come across as a wannabe cop.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read and one that I would definitely recommend.
What Everyone is Saying: A twisty, addictive psychological thriller!
My Review:
The story has everything that a good thriller needs: fast paced plot, finger pointing at a variety of suspects and a big twist. There were several moments in the book where I felt the stress of the main character as he began investigating the potential murderers in the story. My own pulse quickened as if I was the one hiding behind a dumpster or around the corner in a creepy house. Additionally, the story was only 258 pages and a relatively quick read! The twist was definitely unexpected, which shows the great promise for the author in his future writing endeavors. I did find myself wanting just a little more personal author style or thematic elements. Maybe a red car always approaching in the street etc. Something to tie into the reader's real world, where any time they see that thematic element, they think of the book. Similar to the red balloon in IT.
This is an excellent launch to an early career, I will be eager to watch the writing mold and morph as the deep suspense filled thrillers continue!
I received a free eARC of this book, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
In MY WIFE’S STALKER, we follow the story of Damian and his wife Scarlett. When Scarlett is murdered by her stalker, Damian takes it upon himself to track the perpetrator down and get his revenge.
This is the third book I’ve read from Spencer, and each one has you gripping the edge of your seat and proving all your theories wrong! I was hooked from the very beginning, absolutely loving Damian’s inability to see right and wrong when it came to dealing with his wife’s stalker. I loved how we learnt about previous crimes and how they all tied in together. I was 100% I knew who the stalker was but as always, I was completely wrong.
At 256 pages long, this took me just under three and a half hours to read. I highly recommend it to any thriller/crime fan.
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 I did enjoy reading this book. It's easy to read, quite gripping and addictive with a surprising twist at the end that felt satisfying.
My only issue for the ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 was the male MC was too unlikable for me, exploding into fits of rage. I can understand that but it didn't feel credible. 😕 I kept getting annoyed that he kept changing his mind on who the stalker was and kept kil1ing people with no proof whatsoever.
I have to say, this is Spencer’s best book yet. He has improved greatly as a writer. With an intriguing plot line and his usual fast-paced adventures that only take a day or two to read, I was also impressed with more showing than telling, as well as really likable characters that I rooted for. Well done!
Great book as you follow Damian whose focus is to find his wife's stalker. Throughout the book, more clues lead to an unsuspecting and suspenseful ending! Highly recommend!
So grateful for the opportunity to preview an advanced copy of this book. It gripped me from the very beginning and was exactly what I needed to get me back into reading again!
Without getting into spoilers, suspect EVERYONE (and there are a lot of characters!). I thought I knew who did it. I thought I was smart and had figured it out. This book will keep you interested, intrigued, and thinking until the very end.
What I liked the most was having answers. So many books leave little details unanswered...side stories unanswered. Everything gets answered in this one.
I've struggled with reading as of late. This book got me right back into my groove! Thank you, Spencer, for allowing me this opportunity and for rekindling my love for reading!
This book had me thinking of everyone like you would reading a Freida Mcfadden book. Only he has this as demented as if he was Stephen King. I was also thinking of the movie Face Off. Once you read it you'll know why. Step dad omg such a piece of scum. Ready to read another of his books.
This was my first book by Spencer and I have to say he did NOT disappoint this book is full of riveting, edge of your seat action. What would you do if you lost someone you loved? Would you let the police handle it? Would you get revenge? Find your own justice? From the very first page of this book I was either hit in the feelers, laughing out loud, or yelling at characters to get their ducks in a row 😂 👏 👏 👏 I believed I had this book figured out a couple of times. But it’s safe to say the Mister Spencer humbly seated me lol! This book will leaving you trusting no one , never even people you’d never think to suspect! The characters for the most part are likable and even the ones who aren’t your rooting for them to be “disposed of “ lol. Or maybe it was just me. I envisioned the movie “The Town” while reading any scene that had Damian and Ivan in it. I will highly recommend this book to everyone on all my platforms I review.
My third book from the author, exciting to watch him grow as an author, this is his best work. The author never disappoints. A heart-pounding, intense, and addictive psychological thriller. The writing style was well.written , building throughout and never figuring out the killer. The characters are well developed , and I felt their emotions . A wife is murdered by her stalker and the husband seeks out vengeance to a degree of obsession to find the elusive stalker that taunts him after. It is fast-paced, unexpected twists and dark secrets. In the end, my mouth was on the floor, shocked by the fantastic and shocking ending. Thank you for being part of your arc team. I absolutely loved it and definitely recommend it to every thriller fan.
Holy crap on a cracker! What a wild ride. This is my first Spencer Guerrero book and it will not be my last. From the very start, this book will reel you in and it will keep you on that hook until the very end. Great story, interesting characters and an ending I did not anticipate. Authors like you are the reason I love reading. I know you’ll be writing for a long time and I will be reading every, single book. Thank you for the ARC. Next on my list: My Son Is A Murderer. Huzzah!
Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 My Wife’s Stalker by Spencer Guerrero
Obligatory Spencer Guerrero disclaimer first—because if you skip this and then clutch your pearls, that’s on you. Murder? Yes. Death? Obviously. Rape? Unfortunately. Graphic violence? Oh absolutely. Spencer doesn’t write gentle bedtime stories. He writes the kind of books that look you dead in the eye and say, “You sure you wanna keep going?” So: run now… or buckle up, buttercup.
I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it—Spencer knows exactly what he’s doing with words. You either hate his style or you’re fully on board. There is no neutral zone. And yes, I’m firmly Team Spencer. He writes lean, mean, fast-paced stories that don’t give you room to breathe, let alone moral comfort. This one is no exception. You start reading, you blink, and suddenly you’re done—wondering when exactly it swallowed your entire evening.
And the worst part? You feel… satisfied. Not happy. Not proud. Just that quiet, unsettling “yeah… okay” feeling that sits in your chest afterward. Which honestly feels intentional.
No spoilers, but this is very much a revenge story. The kind that asks uncomfortable questions without pretending there are clean answers. How far would you go for someone you love? Where is the line? And what if crossing it costs you everything—your freedom, your soul, whatever’s left of your humanity? This book doesn’t judge. It just watches what happens when grief and rage are left alone together for too long.
Did I enjoy it? Yes. Did it hit as hard as some of Spencer’s other work? Not quite. And that’s the only reason this lands at three and a half stars instead of higher. I’ve read him go darker, nastier, and more psychologically brutal—and I know what he’s capable of.
That said, this is still a solid, savage read. Tight pacing. No filler. No mercy. Just enough psychological damage to scratch the itch without completely wrecking you.
Three and a half dark, twisted, vengeance-fueled stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 If you’re in the mood for a killer thrill that messes with your head just enough—not too little, not too much—this one will do the job nicely.
Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 My Wife’s Stalker door Spencer Guerrero
Book #58 2025 "My Wife's Stalker" ~ Spencer Guerrero ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨️
"My Wife's Stalker" by Spencer Guerrero is a gripping psychological thriller that masterfully intertwines suspense, emotion, and unexpected twists. Set in the small town of Rainfall, the narrative follows Damian, a personal driver, as he embarks on a relentless quest to find the man responsible for stalking and ultimately murdering his wife, Scarlett. His journey for vengeance uncovers dark secrets and a series of mysterious disappearances that keep readers on the edge of their seats.
Guerrero's storytelling is both fast-paced and immersive, drawing readers into a world filled with tension and uncertainty. The plot is meticulously crafted, with each chapter revealing new layers of intrigue. Guerrero’s ability to create a palpable sense of suspense is commendable, making it difficult to put the book down.
However, some readers might find certain aspects of character development lacking. While Damian's determination and raw emotion are evident, other characters, including Scarlett, could have been more fleshed out to enhance the story's depth. Despite this, the novel's unpredictable twists and turns, deliver a satisfying and thrilling reading experience.
Overall, "My Wife's Stalker" is a compelling read that will appeal to fans of psychological thrillers. Guerrero's ability to weave a complex and suspenseful tale earns this book a well-deserved ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨️ stars. Spencer Guerrero - Author
‘My Wife’s Stalker’ by Spencer Guerrero is nothing short of a rollercoaster of emotions and suspense. Let me tell you, I found myself gripping the edge of my seat as I turned each page, my heart pounding with every twist and turn. The moment when the real stalker and killer was revealed. It left me utterly speechless. I mean, how could I have missed it? The fact that the killer turned out to be of the opposite gender just added another layer of intrigue and complexity to this already absorbing plot. The story delves deep into the pain and turmoil experienced by husbands who have lost their wives under mysterious circumstances, except for one who knows his wife was brutally murdered. Just when you think you’ve cracked the case, when you’re convinced you’ve figured out who the killer is, the narrative takes a sharp turn, throwing all your assumptions out the window. It’s maddeningly brilliant. Each chapter pulls you further into the mind of the protagonist, whose frustration and desperation mirror your own as a reader. You’re right there with him, piecing together the clues, chasing leads, and grappling with the horrifying revelation that his wife was sexually assaulted and murdered. Talk about a jaw dropping book....within finishing the first few paragraphs I knew this was going to be a fantastic book....and you know what?! I was 110% correct. The writing was mature, fluid and spellbound. I had the privilege to read this as an ARC opportunity before this was released to the public. This was Spencer's 3rd book and by far HIS BEST!!!!! WOW.....all I can say is WOW! I was not expecting that ending. I am truly impressed and watch out, Spencer is an artist and will be big! Congratulations on another phenomenal book! Can't wait to see what you have in store next!!!!!!!
This novel offers an exciting, fast-paced plot that keeps you guessing with constant finger-pointing at a variety of suspects. The tension built throughout the investigation was palpable, with moments that genuinely made my pulse quicken as if I were the one hiding in the shadows. A major highlight was the big twist, which was completely unexpected and demonstrates great promise for the author's future work in the genre. Additionally, at only 258 pages, this was a quick and engaging read. However, the book struggled with an identity crisis, bouncing between a potential 5-star and 3-star read. I found the focus sometimes leaned too heavily on violence and gore rather than serving the actual story line. The writing style was sometimes choppy and didn't always "paint" a vivid picture, which made the narrative hard to follow, and I wished for a stronger personal author style or recurring thematic element. Furthermore, there were a few plot holes that lessened the impact and made the plot twists feel less climactic. Although I enjoyed what I did read, I ultimately stopped around the 75% mark because the detailed descriptions became repetitive and the pacing began to drag on. Despite these critiques, this is an excellent launch to an early career, and I will be eager to watch the author's writing mold and morph as they continue to develop deep, suspense-filled thrillers.
