In this hilarious fourth book in the Middle School and Other Disasters series that started with New York Times bestseller Worst Broommate Ever, witch-in-training Heidi Heckelbeck tries to keep magic hidden when Lucy Lancaster comes to visit. Featuring black-and-white illustrations and doodles throughout!

It’s the annual Friends and Family Weekend at Broomsfield Academy, and Heidi is so excited for her best friend, Lucy Lancaster, to come visit! But opening the gates of the only school for witches-in-training to outsiders can get complicated…

Mrs. Kettledrum warns the students that things might go haywire with the influx of extra energy from the visitors. Still, with guests wearing the charmed bracelets the students made, there’s no need to worry—right?

Wanda Coven returns with the fourth installment in her delightful 'Middle School Disasters' series, and this time, Heidi Heckelbeck's 'Weirdest Weekend Ever!' lives up to its name in the most entertaining way possible.

Broomsfield Academy is special because it has two kinds of students: regular students and those who learn magic. However, the students learning magic must keep their lessons a secret, which is a crucial part of the book's story.

It's family weekend, and Heidi is thrilled that her family and best friend Lucy are coming to visit. Heidi's magic teacher warns that mixing the magical atmosphere of Broomsfield Academy with non-magical visitors might lead to some chaotic outcomes so all visitors must wear a magic bracelet to help keep things in order. Of course, there are quite a few mishaps in the book while Heidi tries to keep her magical world a secret.

What I Liked: Heidi is such a lovable character and the way she reacts to situations is very typical of a middle schooler. Author Wanda Coven truly captures the middle school persona, especially in Heidi's relatable flustered reactions when interacting with her crush.

I also think that Coven has captured the tricky dynamics of middle school friendships, especially when new friends enter the picture. Lucy's feelings of being left out are realistically portrayed and will resonate with young readers.

The playful font choices and black-and-white illustrations capture Heidi and the story. The book cleverly uses visual elements like dramatically enlarged font to emphasize Heidi's major freakouts, adding to the comedic effect. It's these little details that make this book stand out.

Readers looking for a fun blend of humor, magic, and the authentic ups and downs of friendships will find 'Middle School Disasters: Weirdest Weekend Ever!' a delightful read.

Friends and Family weekend comes and it’s supposed to be lovely. But then our MFC notices some questionable things. How did this happen and why is it happening. There has not been a problematic Friends and Family day in 3 years. But today, her first one, everything just goes wrong. This book made me laugh and smile. It was enjoyable.

Книгата е зарибителна. На мен много ми хареса. В началото е малко скучна, но не я отхвърляйте бързо, защото после става интересно.
