About the author

Hampton is a native St. Louis, with a gift and passion for writing. She maintained journals for several years, but it wasn’t until she read Terry McMillan’s Disappearing Acts that she considered taking her writing adventures to another level.



In 2002, Hampton completed her memoir, along with two fiction novels: Two's Enough Three's a Crowd and How Can I Be Down? The following year, she completed thrilling sequels to both novels and additional bestselling novels followed thereafter.



Hampton is known for bringing the heat to readers, and her literary career is filled with many accomplishments. She is an Essence Magazine Bestselling Author, she was named a Favorite Female Fiction writer in Upscale Magazine by O.O.S.A., she is a 2009 African American Literary Award Nominee for her mystery novel, The Dirty Truth, and was awarded Best Female Writer by Infini Promoters. This cast of uniquely blended misfits are back one last time to reunite. With only a few of the housemates on the inside, Hell House is counting down to the finale. With Jaylin, Roc, Sylvia, Chase, Prince and Jada together again, there is no telling what may happen. They say only the strong survive, but in this case only the cunning can out play and get the last laugh!

It wasn't as suspenseful or drama filled as the others and I really felt I needed more of the two. However the humor and surprise ending really made up for some of that. The storyline began to pick up more so in the end. As always the characters stayed true to themselves and just as they were portrayed in their own books, was the same way they acted in the house. I saw growth in many of the characters and as always the interactions were enjoyable to read; almost like playing the Sims pc game (lol).

All I can say is "Bravo" to the author, Brenda Hampton, for once again reeling me in book by book, page by page of this delicious series.

You presented six individuals, each with unique personalities, from different walks of life and played out the drama. I enjoyed reading as it all unfolded. My only disadvantage was 'Hell House' introduced me to all of the characters but you better believe I'll be reading more about them sooner rather than later. Hopefully once I learn the back story on this cast of characters, they'll make a cameo in future titles so I can get my own closure.

Hell House 3: The Reunion Show by Brenda Hampton is a good read. I like the concept and vibe. Mrs. Hampton did a good job. I enjoyed reading each of cast members from this book. Each of characters are funny and crazy in this book. I believe that Jada should listen to anyone about her speech cause she needs to go back to school and working on her vocabulary.

I should've known JAYLIN LOL!!!!

This book was good. I should have known that Jaylin Rodgers wasn't going out like a punk! He did his thing in pure Jaylin fashion! Chase and Sylvia along with Jade need to figure out why their lives are the way they are and work on that. Learn to love yourself first is the lesson they should take away from Hell House! Prince and Roc I think will be okay although I agree with Jaylin Roc needs to evaluate if he's truly ready to be a husband, he is still real young. Prince seems to be trying to get it together. Overall it was a good read, true Brenda Hampton style, guess I feel like I wanted more, wondering if she will continue the Reality theme or is she moving on to other ventures????? I guess only time will tell, but I give the book a 4.5 star rating. Keep doing your thang Ms. Hampton!

My favorite of the series. The ending...never saw it coming although it seems that Ms.Hampton changed her mind. Thinking back to internal conversations that characters were having, the ending here was not the original ending. Sylvia is completely unrecognizable from the Sylvia in Slick. Here she's weak. Very, very weak. Jada is. Straight hood and I hope to never read about her again. Prince seems to have reversed the progress that he made in Street Soldier 2.

Well Hell House has ended and I must say the ending was a shocker. Would I read any additional books in this series? Yes. But it is a shame that the behavior from the characters in this book must be how some actual people in this world are living their lives today.
